I don't have Douban so I can't see the link you sent. But it's a video screen capture and there were 32 ratings in that video that were shown to have the ratings cut in halves. If it's 1 or 2 pictures, then it could be fake but a 2 minutes video capture showing 32 ratings were changed, the likelihood of this being fake is very low. Nobody would put in that much effort to make such a long fake video. Do you think it could be that the users saw that their ratings were changed by Douban after these evidences were leaked, and changed it back to 5 stars? This would explain why you're seeing the ratings now showing the original 5 stars. I saw that some users reported seeing their ratings changed from 5 stars to 2.5 stars even before the Douban score was announced. And many fans, myself included, suspected that Douban was manipulating the ratings on the back end. As you said, users can't give . 5 ratings, but Douban IT can easily write an algorithm to takes the 4 and 5 stars ratings and divide them in half to lower the Douban score like what we're seeing in the videos. As someone mentioned below, there's also proofs of certain novels having mostly 1 stars but the rating is over 8. This shows that Douban can easily manipulate the ratings to whatever it wants regardless of how the users vote.

Yeah, their attacks are very organized, the fans carrying out the attacks are just puppets. The mastermind behind all of this is that person and his team. He has very powerful backers that's why he always get good resources, good TV time slots, and can get away with all these dirty tactics. You'll never see anything negative about him trending because he pays all these media outlets. The marketing accounts work for him and constantly attack CY and his other competitors. Fans can only continue to support him by watching his dramas through the platforms and buy his endorsements. CY's fans have one of the strongest buying power in cbiz so CY will continue to get roles. Huai'an was the only one present when Pu Nichuan was performing the ritual for Zhang Mo (this is at 18:35 minute mark of ep 4). The ritual that Pu Nichuan performed at the beginning of ep 4 is for another family, not related to the plot. This scene was just to introduced him as an Undertaker to the audience. In later episode, Xiao Wenjing wrote a letter pretending to be Zhang Mo to his family, saying that he's busy with business in Chang An and can't come home yet. The drama ended with Zhang Mo's family never finding out about his death. I hope the writer will touch back on Zhang Mo's family in season 2 if they make one.

This scene of Huai'an stabbing Liu Ziyan multiple times in the carriage is so epic imo, one of my favorite scenes in the drama.
I'm rewatching TVOA for the 2nd time and it's just as exciting as the 1st time. The rewatch value of this drama is 100/10 for me because I can catch so many details that I missed the first time around and I'm able to enjoy the facial expressions and acting so much more as I don't have to focus as much on the subtitles.

The Vendetta of An is truly a piece of art and a masterpiece. It's the BEST drama of 2025 for me and it's also my favorite Cheng Yi's drama thus far. It's been a long time since a drama has been so riveting and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. There are so many things that I love about this drama, from the intricate and interwoven plot, plot twists after plot twists that constantly kept me guessing, beautiful cinematography, stellar acting from all the cast members, but especially the acting from our male lead and veteran actors are outstanding. All of the characters, no matter how big or little a role, no matter if they had a lot or little screen times are so memorable and multi faceted. Kudos to the screen writer for writing such an outstanding script and kudos to the directors and producers for making such a high quality drama. And thank you to the actors for bringing such wonderful characters to life. I really love this drama so much.
And Yes to Season 2. It's really hard for a drama to match the first season. But I think the screen writer is very talented and hope that they can write as good a script for the second season. And that we'll get all of the original actors (that are still alive) back. Even if we don't get a season 2, I feel at peace with how the story ended and how everything came full circle.
