I'm seeing some viewers are analyzing that Huai'an and Yan Fengshan didn't actually meet at the end of ep 13. Because by the time Yan Fengshan stepped out of the door, he saw a footprint mostly covered in water, which means that Huai'an had left a long time ago. Huai'an was talking to himself and said that he will come back to kill Yan Fengshan and left his umbrella. Yan Fengshan was talking to the umbrella Huai'an left behind, and not directly at Huai'an. The camera/director is showing the viewers as if they had met in the same space of time, but in fact they didn't meet at all.

This analysis makes so much sense, because why would Yan Fengshan let Huai'an go if he had seen him. The level of details in this drama is mind blowing 😱

When Huai'an said "When the times comes, I will reunite with you, Father, and Mother. The four of us will be together again."
Is this foreshadowing for the ending? 😭😭😭

Ep 13 was so so good, the plot twist was unbelievable. Yan Fengshan finally made his appearance and man is he a smart, wicked villain. I love how all of the characters are smart and stand out in their own ways. My heart is still hurting for Huai'an. Cheng Yi's acting was superb here.

There were already 50,000 1 stars reviews on the first day that TVOA aired, so obviously this is all coming from the haters. Yet, Douban only removed 13k of the 1 stars reviews. So I think Douban still has a lot of work to do to make their rating system fair.

The low rating is mainly due to Cheng Yi's haters giving this drama a low rate even without watching it. They have been relentlessly attacking all of his recent dramas. It's even worse on IMDb and Douban. Unfortunately, Cheng Yi has become too popular and they view him as a threat to their idol. It's just sad to see them ruining an excellent drama like this.

There were so many memorable scenes in tonight's episodes. Han Ziling running 100 steps and sacrificed himself to save Huai'an had me in tears. I love how smart Huai'an is and how he is able to foresee most things, but I was shocked that Wang Pu is almost as smart and can easily figured things out too. And Gu Yu taking down so many Huben assassins with just his arrows and horse was just wow. It's really refreshing to see that not only the lead but also supporting characters have complex character developments and layers.

I hope the scriptwriter can win an award for his brilliant storyline with this drama. It's been a while since I've seen a drama as well written as this one. I'm constantly on the edge of my seat and screaming while watching this 😱

Why do you need romance when you have an intelligent, well written drama? There are so much going on in this drama that keep the viewers engaged, there's really no time for romance. The male lead is out for revenge, romance would be the last thing on his mind and adding it would ruin the flow of this drama, so I'm glad that it doesn't have it.

Thanks for the updates. Congrats to TVOA, very well deserved. I really hope TVOA can become a hit like MLC and gain more viewers, both are Cheng Yi's best dramas IMO.

The Vendetta of An is so good, excellent script and cinematography, super fast pace and full of surprising plot twists. The acting by all the actors are top notch, especially Cheng Yi's. This drama has a similar vibe to Nirvana in Fire, but much darker and both are some of the best revenge/political dramas I've seen. Highly recommend!

Yup, I even paid for SVIP package to Youku to watch the episodes early. But it so worths every penny.

Ep 9 & 10 are so good, the shock factors in every single episodes so far are have been outstanding. And the cliff hanger at the end of each episodes are so well done. I love how every single characters have their own stories and add so much color to the plot. Love love love this drama so much.

I feel so sorry for Gu Yu in ep 8, seeing all of his soldiers died like that is truly heart breaking. And it makes sense now why the writer had the disposed emperor killed the real Zhang Mo, because now in order to make up for his sin, he will be loyal to Huai'an and help him defeat the Huben army.
The little details in this drama are so good, like Huai'an closing his eyes everytime he sees the disposed emperor because he reminds him of the real Zhang Mo 😭. This is a drama that you need to watch multiple times to catch all of these details.

Ep 8 is back to the main plot and fast pace again. I actually enjoyed the breather in ep 7 as it explains a lot of the missing details in previous episodes like why Bai Wan doesn't remember Huai'an and ep 7 was very emotional, it made me cried.

Omg Huai'an is crazy, he buried someone alive for 7 years just for kidnapping his sister 😱 But I'm so loving this character. Each episode has a shock factor, it's so good.
And it makes sense now why Bai Wan doesn't know that he's her real brother since she went to her adopted family when she was so young.

Loved all 6 episodes so far, this drama is so intense in a very good way. I have to focus 100 percent when watching TVOA or else I feel like I'm missing the plot since the pacing is so fast. Everything about this drama is high quality, from production, script, acting, to cinematography I can't praise it enough.

Yeah I think they care more about Cheng Yi and his dramas than their own idol's. They even bought a #1 black hot search yesterday on Weibo to attack this drama, but they got tricked because they didn't know that this drama was airing later and that hotsearch ended up attacking CY's Sword and Beloved instead as they had nothing on TVOA to bash lol 😂

Cheng Yi's haters (aka shrimps) are at it again, they're all giving this drama 1 stars on IMDb. I know the drama only started and many of us don't rate a drama until it's done, but please go over to IMDb and give TVOA a fair rating and review. It's currently only rated 1.9, which is so ridiculous to see. Since TVOA is airing on Netflix and has a wide international reach, the low IMDb rating will put off future viewers from watching. Don't let those antis ruin this excellent drama.

I just finished episode 1 and the plot twist is crazy. Cheng Yi can definitely acts with his eyes. Those evil, piercing stares gave me chills. The plot, pacing and acting by all the actors are so good so far. Cheng Yi needs to do more of these political type dramas, he's such a versatile actor that he can take on any role.
