Liang Jie is 5'5" (1.66 m), in Hi Venus, the difference between her height & ZSX's height is obviously more than 3 - 4 inches.

In the novel, the FL remembers everything about her past life. That's why when she met the ML for the first time, she was sure that he was the one and she never had any doubt about ML.

But since there's a censorship for reincarnation, they really made it subtle. However viewers can take their own interpretations. I think in the drama FL also remembers the past, but she never told anyone about it and it stayed as a secret.

At first, I'm annoyed at the FL too but after rewatching it, I think FL's behaviour is understandable. She's an introvert and has trust issues so she tends to act defensive and be wary of stranger. Moreover the hospital website hasn't updated the information about new president, so ofc the FL wouldn't believe it when the ML claimed himself as the new president. And it gets worse when the grandma in the village confirmed that the ML was the seller of fake medicinal liquor.

Yes, the FL is flawed but she's self aware. She knew she has difficulty personality but she never feel ashamed to admit her mistakes and she has a will to develop. Since the ML has a positive vibes and energy, he gives her new perspectives about life and he helps her to grow.

They're not related at all. They only grow up together cuz they're neighbors. I think most of people find the relationship acceptable because Ling Xiao & Li Jianjian still lived in different house despite them growing up together.

This censorship rules sometimes can be vague. I don't know the ending of "parallel love", but if you have watched "Love In Time", they also don't use the typical ending. However they make the character from the future died to indicate that they cut the time loop, and the plot line back to the past so there will be no time travel again.

Maybe to some extent, they allow it, but most of producer/director/scriptwriter choose to be safe than sorry.

Both season 1 and 2 were very popular back then. If you want to watch it, I think you could start from season 1 for better understanding of the plot. But it has a lot of episodes and the casts in season 1 & 2 are different.

I really enjoy watching this drama back then, even tho there are some draggy parts. Also modern cdramas have made a lot of progress these days, maybe you'll find this drama to not fit with ur standard since this drama is kinda old. If you want to give it a try, it's better to keep expectations low.

All of Cdramas about time travel, parallel universe, reincarnation, and body swap have that typical ending. They do it due to censorship.

It's "My Amazing Boyfriend" Season 2.

Same I like this one better. I think it's because the plot characters and the plot have a lot more depth than WIFTY.

I love how the rating keeps increasing. I hope it can goes up to 9.0+ in MDL.

Maybe this drama isn't your cup of tea but fyi those gaming scenes are actually almost the same as the novel.

This drama is one of few dramas that fully follow the original plot, that's why most of the fans of this novel are satisfied with the drama adaptation.
I can say 95% of the scenes are similar with the novel.

Coming back to this page because Go Go Squid is one of my comfort dramas.

After reading the pros and cons in comment section, I can understand both sides. When I watched this drama I also notice a lot of flaws, cringe scenes, secondhand embarrassment and red flag behaviors. But at the same time I also enjoy watching this drama because there are many cute and funny scenes too.

I think the ML character carried this drama and make it bearable to watch. Although he has some red flag behaviors, Li Xian as Han Shangyan is very charming and charismatic. Tbh, I still can't move on from his character. Maybe a lot of viewers could relate with me. Also I found this data on twitter how Han Shangyan character gained biggest index in Zhou Baizhi with 770K points. No one has ever touched this level. Even another popular character like Xiao Nai (Love o2o) and He Yichen (My Sunshine) only got around 500K points. Character played by most popular actor in china rn (Xiao Zhan) also didn't get this high points. So, yeah Han Shangyan alone can manage viewers to rate this drama high.

I know many of you have concerns about certain issues. But sometimes when it comes to watching dramas, it's not that serious. Many people watch dramas to seek for fluffy moments, comedy and eye candies. It's okay, I guess. There are a lot of bad dramas that make you feel good. Go Go Squid is one of the example. Watching this drama is guilty pleasure for me.

Objectively, I'd give this drama 7/10 but Han Shangyan has bewitched me body and soul, so I gave this drama 10/10.

IIRC, after the ML and FL ate rice noodle together, the ML asked FL to help his business. The ML even offered whether the FL have any condition or not and ML would try to fullfil them.
