Sullivan is so hot lolOlivia (the English teacher) is definitely his wife, right? There’s no way they put her…
Oh good - I thought I was the only one crushing on the "villain", loool. My guess is Olivia is an agent that was setup by Sullivan to get close to Choi Gang's daughter. Sullivan seems to have fixated on her. I bet if "Teacher Olivia" were to approach the daughter she wouldn't be so wary of "stranger danger"....
I'm sorry, I don't get why Choi Gang is so keen to save that bitch-ass assembly woman. She manipulated the courts to protect a murderer who killed a child (not to mention she tried to blow up the police station and make it look like Sullivan did it just so she could get gov't funding for her project)- if Sullivan wants to blow her to pieces, I say everyone on the neighbourhood team should just look the other way.
Off topic - But anyone else think that those green glassware in the show are a product placement? 😂 Like, in every shot they do a super closeup of the cups and dishes, loool. But I have to admit the PP is very effective cuz I found myself on temu searching for them, LMAOOO.
The ML's sister is seriously pissing me the fuck off. You're choosing a guy you literally met for a few minutes and you know absolutely nothing about over the brother who sacrificed his whole life for you and is trying to do what's best for you. GTFOH. But yeah, you about to learn now girlie-pop, and it'll be justly deserved. Some people just learn the hard way, I guess.
I'm not gonna lie - I feel a little cheated by that ending... Don't get me wrong, I have no issues with a sad ending if the story calls for it but here it just didn't feel like it fit. If they weren't meant to be together, why did they remember each other when they shouldn't? Why did the old man (deity?) urge her to run after her fate if she wasn't meant to be with him? Everything foreshadowed her ending up with him and yet she chose not to in the end??? It felt like the writer wanted to subvert tropes and audience expectations and give it a SE just so it won't be the expected HE but the whole thing just fell flat.... It's too bad too because up until that end it was just about perfect.
I'm really enjoying this short drama. Both the ML and FL are doing an outstanding acting job, especially the FL. Both their acting is just understated enough to have a real impact; none of the over-dramatic, overacting that usually happens in short dramas. My only quibble is that the FL is so damn beautiful, I don't understand how ANYONE could mistake her for a man.
Okay on a lighter note, how ADORABLE are the modern day Prince Hwa Seong and Ji Won!?!?! I am LIVING for that height difference!!!! And in just that few seconds you could see he's just as down-bad a loser as his past counter-part. My favourite couple hands down.... I hope this pair does another drama together.
Please tell me if I got this right: Past Princess Hwari DIDN'T end up with Choi Hwan thus that 4 line ending by the author telling the reader to live their lives according to their own dreams, right?? So the ending in the book is just another fantasy on paper of what the author wished had happened, right??? And not what actually happened. PH probably ended up marring Jang Won and living in a peaceful but loveless marriage. Which is why she's probably attracted to him in modern times first (familiarity???) before meeting the eyes of modern Choi Hwan... Anyways the ending was just too sad. With the exception of the younger Prince and his wife, no one seems to have had a truly happy ending... and I absolutely LOATHE that the rapist brother got away with his crime and didn't get his comeuppance.
I'm fansubbing this series, and all the sites joetoca mentioned would have stolen from me.Please watch it on my…
Thank you for all your effort! I am really loving this drama and that's mostly due to your excellent subs. I eagerly wait for your subs on your site every week. Please let us know if there is any other way you would like us to support you. Keep up the excellent work!
Embroidery makes things personalized and depending on rank and class you can and can not have certain designs.…
Excellent explanation, thank you! Still what a shitty thing to do - I totally get why some of the characters want to get vengeance for this case. I'd be radicalized too if you murdered innocents for such a petty reason.
Back in the good ol days and depending on how awful the royal family was at the time, if you so much as sneezed…
Fair point. But then why do they keep equating the clothes being late to treason? Like what's the thought process there that led to the delay of clothes being the same as treason?? Also if it was just because the Empress took it as an "insult" why was there an official "investigation" into the case? What were they investigating? and why were people pressuring officials to close the case and execute the Jinxui workshop? And why would the princess' husband (someone I'm assuming has a lot clout and status) take the "blame" and OFF HIMSELF for something so trivial? I'm seriously confused.
