Pretty good somehow slow drama about women and how people especially men can be cruel.
Although I think genres are a bit misleading.
I would say it's drama more than anything, and political intrigues. Not really a mystery, more like investigation because there is some intrigue but overall pretty predictable and easy to spot "bad guys". Also, if you compare it with some romcom dramas then yeah thats light thriller, but... personally, I can't consider this as thriller at all.

but is it really? i'm pretty sure there's bromance chinese dramas without romance, like spirealm for example

I'm looking forward to School 2015! I loved School 2013, but dropped School 2017 so I'm not really have expectations but just curious how season 2015 would be. The only "trope" that I truly hate is lot of cringiness, so as long as there minimum of that it should be fine already to some degree 😅

Sometimes genres is the only thing that needed lol Like the synopsis for example, of You Are My Glory (2021) sounds like it's a game/esport drama but it's really not... idk how people write descriptions that really off sometimes🙃

Maybe they are subpar, who knows.. need to try it to see what they are like. And I don't really look at the mdl rating because some good dramas have 7.5-8.3 score, while silly comedy can have 9, so.. maybe at least 1 of these will be good enough😫😅

Good to see that Zhenni, Zu Er and Luwa slowly rising in dramas. Would love to see more of Ren Min and Wu Jia Yi. Thinking of underrated actresses, the first 2 who come to my mind were Liu Xie Ning and Gao Yu Er, want more dramas with them🙏🏻

Looking at the list of 2017 dramas, "law" theme was pretty popular in 2017🧐
If you are interested, Maddog is law and con themed, have funny scenes but pretty tragic storyline (past events) so i would say it's a drama of contrasts, with a bit of romance. While You Were Sleeping - again, law with a bit of fantasy with healthy romance, just right amount of humour and drama.

My top 3 is probably Judge vs. Judge, Maddog and While You Were Sleeping
