i think it won't be an open ending given how soo-hyuk is making his feelings so evident in ep 12 preview. and if the writers have been paying attention to their own work the ring is a chekhov's gun!!!

agreed with this - sang-jin doesn't seem attracted to uri, at most he's confused. and he is seeking closure with his ex-wife, which signifies some character development (i'll take whatever little i can get)

you're spot-on in that if this drama only focused on the interesting parts that you stated it might have become one of the greats. i'll even add that i felt the number of romantic moments was not enough. writer-nim wasted ji-ho's passionate potential (e.g. ep 14 was only a fantasy)

never thought i would say this but ep 15 was a drag. probably the worst episode in this series for me. ji-ho is completely out of character, noble idiocy all around, and yes that ending made me more annoyed than sad. ep 16 better be 100% fanservice and even that would barely make up for the weak plot. sigh
