Part of it is because Hae-jin has gotten a lot of screentime and his story is centrally important to the plot of the drama, perhaps even more so than Ji-ho's. HJ's plotline also happens to be very dramatic and explosive compared to JH's (though that's not to say that JH hasn't grown a lot, it's just more understated), something which one would typically expect to be reserved for MLs.
Ep 13 was excellent - it was funny, sweet, romantic, and had major plot development. That being said I find it curious how Hae-jin is written more like an actual lead than a SML - it’s as if this is /his/ liberation story, and the girl he loves just so happens to love Ji-ho. Ji-ho is still a main lead in terms of screen time (and he’s the only reason I’m still here), but his story has been relegated to nothing much…
