"Haejin is true Main Lead. Screentime says it all. No arguments."As much as I hate the actor character, I have…
I feel like a lot of the reason that Hae-jin is getting so much screen time is because he's the best character through which the writer can progress the Sang-eun chaebol family drama. Ji-ho's not a stakeholder in it and so he can only function as a support character in this though his stake in it is raised now, so he'll be more important moving forward. But fundamentally it's due to weak writing that led to this situation.
This drama makes me feel, most of the woman watching this drama are actually okay with Haejin not respecting SangEun…
I don't think the above is a fair assessment. You're making quite a generalisation "most of the women". I'm not sure where you're seeing the comments worshipping Hae-jin, but a cursory look through this comment section alone would tell you otherwise.
It is entirely reasonable to give characters the benefit of doubt, considering we are dealing with characters like us with emotions and biases. Sure, Haejin makes a mess of things, AND he can be insufferably narcissistic and inconsiderate (nobody debates this) - but he can't predict the future, and he does what he can given his circumstances.
I would be careful in assuming that most women are superficial - and even if we are - that we lack the capacity to judge what is respectful treatment of ourselves.
Issues to be resolved in the remainder of this drama (in spoiler comment below) - feel free to add on
Ji-ho's side - His promotion - His family - hinted at in early episodes, when his uncle(?) was outside his place
Sang-eun/Mi-ho's side - SE's childhood circumstances - I actually think it's not as simple as we've been led to believe. When she was attacked by the stalker in the earlier episodes, remember she had a paralysing flashback to when she was a kid? It seemed to involve an accident. - Ina group's role in it (and their impending downfall)
Hae-jin's side - I actually don't care - The above aside, his stuffy-looking older brother (others have theorised that he might have done something to SE on the night of the two families' dinner, it will be revealed) - His chaebol family drama
Gwang-nam's (special) - The loving relationship he wants and deserves!!! With tsundere shorty probably
I don't think we will ever know. It was a scheme from him to save Sang Eun from the cyberbullying. What the ex…
I thought she basically read what he wrote (remember that she ultimately took the document) EXCEPT that she added the last part to complicate things "they are deeply in love with each other - please respect that"
at this point i’ll just pray that everything is resolved by ep 14, then for 15 and 16 we see sang-eun and ji-ho get married (with gwang-nam as best man), move to the countryside, live a sweet domestic life, and have two kids. thank you for coming to my ted talk
Jiho has no story for his own at this stage. Haejin has his own story arc and will eat up lot of screentime in…
good critique but i’ll take whatever i can get of ji-ho at this point as long as he stops guest starring in his own drama. perhaps there is still hope that we can resolve HIS family issues down the line
praying that writer-nim will just wrap this conglomerate saga up and focus on ji-ho instead like he has family…
all this being said when he kissed her and pulled her onto him my soul left my body 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💀💀💀💀💀💀 i can’t even get angry at being baited by the previews
praying that writer-nim will just wrap this conglomerate saga up and focus on ji-ho instead like he has family issues to resolve right??? why don’t we focus on that??? alternatively how about let sang-eun and ji-ho go on a date in peace and work out how to be a better couple??? i am STARVED
ep 11 was underwhelming… ji-ho was smokin hot but not sure if even he can save this drama at this point… it might be better to binge watch. sigh. and can yoo mi-ho get out of the way already 💀
