Why is there so much hate for this, I find it to be really enjoyable with a little spice and cuteness. I also…
For me, it was a couple things. The story just didn't catch my attention for some reason. I thought it was slow and boring. Normally I like cute and fluffy series, and I don't even mind the silly series with crazy sound effects that Thailand often pumps out. For some reason this just lacks something, and I am not sure I can put my finger on it exactly.
Also, the directing and editing was in my eyes quite bad. The story lacks cohesion and it lacks growth and flow and character arcs and things like that. I think the director or editor could have fixed most of that. Maybe the story itself is also to blame, but the director/editor could have asked for rewrites to the story, or gave the actors better guidance to somehow make this shine.
I think the actors were fine, they had chemistry for the most part, and did a good job. The one thing that stood out with the actors is how they dubbed the Chinese actor. There had to be a way to make that better somehow, whether he didn't speak, or maybe he spoke in Chinese as a plot point, or something different than the cheesy dub. It isn't the actor's fault, again this is a director or editor choice that I think should have been handled differently.
I liked yin/tutor in cutie pie but it’s been down hill from then. I struggled to watch this and even when watching…
I could have written this myself. I struggled watching it too, it just didn't capture my attention like most other BL series do. Normally I binge watch a series in a few days or maybe a couple weeks at the most. I have been stuck on these 12 episodes, and no other series, for weeks now.
This series was cute in a way, and there were a few good scenes, but things just dragged on without much plot or character growth. There wasn't even a big 11th episode breakup scene or a white truck of death, or anything like that to add some level of drama or tension.
I like cute and fluffy series, but this wasn't so dumb to be silly, nor was it drama-filled and action-packed, it just lingered between.
There are amazing kissing/NC scenes in this series. Like omfg!!! They might be one of the best out there, both…
I can agree with quite a bit of what you said. There were too many characters that didn't add much to the series, the imaginary scenes didn't seem to fit the rest of the story somehow, and to me the whole thing just dragged out too long without much going on.
To me, I don't think it was the actors who were at fault. I think this series lacked a coherent vision or there was a lack of directing and/or editing. Like many BL series, they seem to be making up scenes to fill 12 episodes rather than having 12 episodes worth of content.
From the same people who gave 2gether a rating of 7.7...
2gether was quite bad, and I say so whenever the name comes up or someone says a some particular series is terrible. 2gether never deserved that high rating, I think fans of Bright pumped up the numbers.
I thought this series was a lot better than 2gether. Both the main and side couple had a nice relationship with growth from a silent crush, to having some intimacy like kissing and declaring they were a couple at the end. For being in high school, the intimacy seemed to be appropriate given their age, especially compared to 2gether which were college aged guys and never did more than hold hands.
This series also showed two young guys struggling with coming out both at school, and at home. It showed some very empathetic teachers who guided their students into liking themselves for who they are. It showed a healthy relationship between the teacher and his boyfriend. The moms were supportive of the sons. There were lots of good messages throughout this series.
Is MLMU on the same level as A Tale of a Thousand Stars or Not Me? Nope. But I don't think it ever was supposed to be something like that.
I've got no problem with this drama... I'm probably one of the few who loved it. I watched the Japanese version…
I also thought it was a good series, but I didn't watch watch the original series nor did I read the manga, so I can't tell if this is better or worse than the source material.
Why is that weird? I remember when I was that age, me and my bf were at it lika rabbits as well.... My brother…
Most people would have been a *little bit* more discreet. These guys were making the whole house shake!
Grandma complained about the neighbors hearing when the guys were talking loud in an earlier episode, the neighbors must have really been getting an earful here.

yeah he looks like the older version of Krist , .. the thug master is the one I fancy here HAHAHA too bad he got…
I was thinking older brother to Perth Nakhun. (My Engineer, KinnPorsche) Maybe both of them being half Thai is part of it, but the nose and eyes have similar looks.
I could not finish this. Justice for my son Atom, you deserved the world but all you got was suffering, third…
Frank actually didn't annoy me here. That is saying something because he really set me off with the over the top "I want cake" whining in Love Syndrome. I think he did an OK job here.
Being the third wheel was something he (Atom) brought on himself. He came in late to the Zen/Ryu relationship, and didn't take the hint even when he saw them together. In fact I think that he was trying to break them up by getting Zen that scholarship. Oh, and the creepy stuff Atom did while Zen was asleep was... weird.
I thought this was decent, but it needs a second part for the side couples.
These companies need to publish this stuff where people can watch it, this could have been much more popular if it would have been on more mainstream sites.
Is it me, or is he somehow cuter/hotter in Rebound than in the past? Maybe it is just the badboy role or something, but there was something different about him in this series.
When that one guy on the team asked Ryu how he masterbated when his arm was in a cast I'm just thinking..his other…
I am trying to not be too graphic here, but it isn't that different than trying to write with the wrong hand, or use a computer mouse with the wrong hand. It isn't easy to just switch.
Grandma needs a serious lifesaving surgery. So they have to raise a huge amount of money, 120,000 Baht. They act like this is some outrageous amount of money. (maybe it is?)
Converted to USD, that is about $3000 in August 2024 dollars. I don't think you could even get an X-ray for that amount of money in the USA let alone a surgery of any type!
He is so cute in the rebound series! Atom character suits him really well but I'm a little sad because I know…
I posted previously that I thought Frank had been miscast in the past couple series he was in, and maybe more specifically Love Syndrome.
The Atom character in the Rebound series seems to fit his personality and acting skills much better. In my opinion, I don't think he is as good at playing the "heavy" or serious characters. Atom is a bit more sweet and quiet which seems to mirror Frank's real life personality.
Wished Chain and Pun got more screen time. Hope to see them in more upcoming bl's.
That is one criticism that I would make of this series, I feel like the side couples were shorted of time. Considering we had 16 episodes, Chain and Pun should have got more time.
I also feel like Matt (JJ), Mick (Tee), Beer (Pepper), and Kluen (Title) should have received more screen time, and/or had an on-screen pairing with someone with as long as this series ran.
why is everyone asking about all these kisses... like seriously you guys have no idea how lucky you all are. Go…
The kisses in We Are are 1000 times better than that high-five ending in 2gether. In fact throughout that whole series you could tell the actors purposefully avoided any type of contact. It was almost embarrassing to watch the scenes where they should have been intimate. We got some awkward groping throughout the series, and not much else.
Most of his shows after GMM are terrible but somehow I have a lot of respect for him as an artist, if he was still…
" he needs someone to choose his scripts for him."
I think he is miscast, or just isn't put into roles that are suited to his personality type. I think he plays the fun, cute, and lighthearted stuff better than the serious roles. If you look at his Youtube channel, he is always joking around and being funny.
This might just be me, but I think that he comes across as insincere or phony or something like that when he is playing these serious parts. I know actors hate being typecast, and love the challenge of new roles, but sometimes that typecasting can be a good thing.
