I understand this feeling. After many years of watching K-dramas, I've come to realize that the plots aren’t exactly groundbreaking. I stopped expecting originality from the K-drama industry long ago, as it seems they prioritize trends and quick profits over creativity.
It’s been about six years since a plot has truly impressed me, and it's disheartening, but it is what it is. I’m a big fan of films, movies, dramas, and literature. I don’t watch them just for entertainment; I take my time to analyze and deconstruct them. It has been my hobby for as long as I can remember. If I’m not reading a book, I’m analyzing a movie or drama.
Unfortunately, depth in dramas has disappeared over the years, and witnessing this decline is sad. Currently, I find C-dramas to be better than K-dramas, but I have a feeling that may change soon.
Why are the reviews so negative? I just started this drama, and it's not THAT BAD.... So far, I'm just pissed at the S.E.S squad ( I'm at episode 7-6)... I love them, but the misunderstanding they created!?!?

I just started watching this drama, and I have to say that I completely understand the female lead's feelings. They are valid because I would be hurt too if my first love, someone for whom I would sacrifice everything, returned successful and acted as nothing had ever gone wrong, while I was left feeling pitiful. On top of that, they offer to "help" me get out of my misery?!

is it just me or Lin Waxing 's female best friend (I believe her name is Ju Li) want to be more than friend with her? Like idk if she is giving signal or it's just her being herself😭

You are completely right! This is exactly what I was thinking. For this drama, it makes so much sense. However, I would have appreciated the proposal being just a love confession rather than a demand for marriage. It would have been much deeper that way. In my mind, her proposing to "make up" for her past decisions feels a bit off.
