I just started watching this drama, and I have to say that I completely understand the female lead's feelings. They are valid because I would be hurt too if my first love, someone for whom I would sacrifice everything, returned successful and acted as nothing had ever gone wrong, while I was left feeling pitiful. On top of that, they offer to "help" me get out of my misery?!

This year Many dramas left their impact but I’m not gonna lie; in the industry of film and entertainment for this past years plots have been over reused… and the industry creativity decrease drastically each day; so “Road to success” really set the bar for fresh plot/concept… I started this drama from pure boredom and expected nothing and it really surprised me!
is it just me or Lin Waxing 's female best friend (I believe her name is Ju Li) want to be more than friend with her? Like idk if she is giving signal or it's just her being herself😭
I'm at episode 5 so far, and I swear if something bad happens to Fu Xin Shu... I will be devastated...he's the sweetest student 😭his heart is so pure, like PLEASE don't make him sad; he only needs one popcorn

I need to pause every there and then... So I need y'all advice: is it REALLY worth it, or is the rating just inflated?

You are completely right! This is exactly what I was thinking. For this drama, it makes so much sense. However, I would have appreciated the proposal being just a love confession rather than a demand for marriage. It would have been much deeper that way. In my mind, her proposing to "make up" for her past decisions feels a bit off.

Actually, he doesn't really "bully" her in the drama. I'm not sure if the previous person was referring to the book, but in the drama, it’s quite "light," it is more like messing around your high shcool crush... The synopsis is not representative of what I'm watching. It makes it seem like a step-sibling relationship that falls into an unhealthy dynamic, but that’s not the case. In reality, the female character is very strong and independent. If I can say so, she actually has the upper hand in this drama.
9/10 for me! It's been so long since I enjoyed a Kdrama like this... took me back to the time when we had AMAZING stories... was a bit confusing at some given time, but overall WHAT A PLOT? The story had so many meanings and morals; the writer has an amazing brain
