Ok guys I will write my comment again but more succinctly. This is for those who have watched at least until episode 8. If you haven't watched yet please don't read, unless you don't care about spoilers.
What's with the sexual innuendos between Pil Joo and Mal Ran ? I have a sad theory about it. Clearly, a mother doesn't touch a man she sees as a "son" like this. And a son doesn't carry his mom to bed like he did, and all those touch-touch games. Your thoughts ?
So far one of the best dramas I have seen. Jang Hyuk surpasses them all by far, in terms of acting skills, and confirms his greatness yet again. I get "the feels" everytime. I'm literally falling in love with him (more than ever). He is so good at it that it makes me sick! UGHHH!!
Although I regret the caricature of 80% of the males being trash while 80% of the women being earth angels, I truly enjoyed the drama's message : people can join forces to make bad people pay for their crimes. Soo Gyum and JungHye were my favorite characters, two illegitimate children who joined forces to get their revenge against this unfair society (especially their own families) making them pay for a birth they never chose in the first place. Some parts were unrealistic (like the battered woman slapping her husband, in real life the husband would have beaten her up, and she would have never been able to escape so easily). But all in all it was fun to watch, and some over the top characters, like the lying rich mom who protected her stupid son, made me cry laughing. Thank you tVN.
Healer... boring ? And bringing up american soap operas ? Most successful k-dramas surpass them by far, which is why so many of us here (if not most) can never go back to actually watching them again. Let's be real. Healer was powerful, and had all the women in it playing important roles (programmer, CEO, journalist etc). I will never understand the harsh criticism towards this one. And he was not autistic.
One of the most brilliant and underrated dramas ever. This version SURPASSES the japanese and taiwanese versions BY FAR. It was one of those dramas that wasn't predictable. I will definitely watch it again, when I have some time.
Was I the only one who couldn't bring herself to finish this ? I found it so dry. Too bad because I love both actors, the girl also played in Spring's Waltz one of the most underrated dramas ever.
I kinda felt there were a little too many scenes in prison, and too much blood compared to the usual drama standards, but other than that I loved the story and characters. The villain was one of the best ones I have ever seen (I think he tops Mask's villain). The male characters (Park Jeong-Woo and Cha Min-Ho) stole the show. The main female actress was average frankly. But the two main guys made up for it all. The daughter too was fantastic. One of the best dramas I have seen in a while.
