I'm ok with not exposing BC's identity, since that's not his fault he's not a Jang, but I would stop loving BC…
Best ending for BC is that he stays alive. It would be good if he wasn't exposed, but if he has to be, so that Mal Ran can be exposed as a fraud, oh well...
I know I m probably the odd one here but I don’t want a happy ending because it will be like a fairytale rather…
I'm ok with not exposing BC's identity, since that's not his fault he's not a Jang, but I would stop loving BC too if I was married to such a jerk. I did feel sorry for him at first, cause being the Chairman was his mother's dream not his desire. But seeing how he lied to Mo Hyun for years, especially about his child even when the mother showed up as a friend, I saw him entirely differently. Keep in mind that he financed everything for his mistress in the US, yes MISTRESS, cause they were toasting in the airplane, so he was definitely getting some "stress relief" on the side for 5 years. Mo Hyun is way too good for him.
This is one of the best dramas I've seen, not really getting the low ratings. I liked it because the lead character was actually unusual and unexpected. Because I was never used to this kind of character development for a lead, I thought flipping the script like this was brilliant. Soo Ae is one of my top 3 favorite actresses and she nailed her role to perfection. Kwang Sang Woo was impressive, UKnow was surprisingly fantastic. I recall this drama making me VERY angry. Which was the director's goal. 8/10 minimum.
I think they found the perfect sweet-naive to twisted character transition actress, she can do both characters…
I agree. Although I dropped "Whisper" Park Se Young impressed me playing a witch in that drama. I didn't expect this. She's really good at playing both characters.
I couldn't think any possible happy ending anymore....
So... I realize many of us are thinking the same. After epi 20 I can't see a happy ending anymore either. I have a bad feeling at least one lead may die. The worst would be both of them. I've seen it happen already. I hope not goodness.
I have a bad feeling this ain't going to end well. I'm stacking up all my tissue boxes for the last four episodes,…
I agree that it doesn't look good. This is a makjang so many times endings are really crazy. See how Mr Oh was eliminated yet he never betrayed the Jangs ? That was so despicable of Mal Ran.
My predictions :
Boo Cheon - will die. By suicide or killed by his grandfather. He's worse than an out of wedlock child to him, he's not even a Jang. Mal Ran - will die. Probably eliminated by the grandfather for fooling him, before she can even begin to catch her breath. Grandfather - will die. By suicide (pills for example) or heart attack. Too narcissistic to accept rotting in a jail cell. Both killers (Mal Ran and Haraboji) could end up dying. Mo Hyun - may die. She wants to expose them too fast, too hastily, they're not jailed yet. I didn't expect this to happen so fast. I hope she won't die but she easily could, if she doesn't, her family will be hurt. Pil Joo - no idea. PJ could have prepared to die for the cause, either that or he and his partner in crime will survive. Because he outsmarts Mal Ran and knows how she operates, he may have a good strategy to escape. But nothing is for certain.
Anyway, I think at least 2 people will die. The worst would be a lead role or both (some makjangs go that direction UGH!!!!). That would be totally messed up, if writer-nim did this.
I'm also one of the few ppl who found it forgettable. Couldn't bring myself to finish it. And this is coming from a Nam Goong Min fan. Agree that the cast was good but not the story. Thanks for the review!
I don't get the hype. Nam Goong Min is one of my favorite actors, and Lee Junho impressed me, but I seriously couldn't get into the story, everything was so deja vu, couldn't stand the female lead, the humor was subpar, I mean the whole thing was so below average and predictable in many ways... couldn't be bothered.
Uhhhmmm.... as Gong Yoo fan, and tVN supporter, goodness, how hard it was for me to admit that I was bored by this drama... LOVED the cast, the OST, the cinematography, HATED the script, the pace, and character development... I dropped it by episode 7 if I recall correctly ? I was so painfully bored and annoyed. Good for tVN for getting a hit out of this, cause cable don't get 10%+ ratings and they did thanks to Oppa extraordinaire, but it didn't live up to the hype. And the whole student + ajhussi romance, no thanks. I'm very supportive of couples with a big age gap, but not when one is in their teen years (late teens is still teenagehood).
