When this was aired and ended, I wasn't in the mood to watch it! But now I say I regret missing this beautiful gem! 10/10. loveeee the casting and the story!
I drop it there. I dislike how written the female lead was she's too dense and a people pleaser and I can't see much with the romance. had potential but lacking for many reasons.
And yet, I notice there’s no mention of romance anywhere in your review. That’s a little concerning for me,…
The romance is not exactly the main point of this series. It's just a part of the story that the two main leads, An Ju Hyeong and Kang Hui Ji, had an old interaction abroad, where they reunite once more; yet, the focus remains on their jobs as a lawyer and an attorney.
Throughout the episode, it's still mainly about their job; the relationship is just a sideline and isn't even toxic.
I'm about to remove this from my watchlist, but I saw comments saying they like it, so I'm glad that I gave it a try!
This drama is not your typical law or crime-focused drama, where the cases shine because of the cases and acting. This drama is about lawyers and attorneys in their daily lives. Such as showing the actual reality of every lawyer or attorney: they don't choose who to defend if they work under a company, such as defending bullies or guilty people from drunk-driving and similar cases.
This series may be fiction, but it's a slice of life. It also reflects in real life as a lawyer's or attorney's daily struggles. This should be watched with comfort. And by comfort, I saw comments that the show is a turn mukbang—lol. Food is one of the best comforts, especially in the life of a city worker.
Give it a try, it may be slow because I didn't binge-watch it, but it's a 9/10 for me. Disliking it means it's not for you, the end. It's not because it's written poorly or whatever you assume. Just saying, because the top reviews above are kinda bad. :)
The reviews above are too much, but after binge-watching this, I can accept the criticism. However, I'll still give it an average-decent rating because I love the casting. I'm a fan of familiar faces. Sadly, this could have been better if they had cut the parade moments and instead focused on exchanging opinions and arguments. In the end, all the climax and good parts went to the last episode.
The biker guy who looks like a bully but is an actual softy and good should've been one of the main characters.

Lastly is the MOTHER!! I first saw her in Guardian of Dafeng! and now she nailed this one too!
