i only enjoyed the firework part of this drama. The narrative of Meng family grossed me out and its also slow, boring and unnecessary.

I read it's some story happened in late 1970s, but everything about it so far is just rumor.

it's ok to mention anime sometimes, but flood the page with anime info is too much (I had to block the hunter person to read drama repo). I believe anime has its own forum for fans to chat about updated eps.

I'm just explaining the situation.

Yang Yang's role James Wu is the gem of this movie. 15 mins acting but stole the whole show.

the main problem with this drama is that some important narratives of ML had been planted to the side role acted by Zhai Zi Lu, who belongs to the director's company. Yang Yang signed the contract when the scripts was more following the original story and characters, however the drama crew changed the scripts after he joined. Yang Yang only had 200 scenes in the whole drama, while Zhai Zi Lu has about 300 scenes, which is completely cheating compared to the original story.

The producer sounds very confident. His mom the director might co-op with Yang Yang for a modern drama first, but after that, they shall be able to do S2. The procedure of S1 was long, I think, because they didn’t have much experience of live action yet. This time they shall arrange things better.

Mdl is now full of ppl who have absolutely no patience with old-school/classic narratives. They prefer TikTok style instead I suppose.

Haven’t been on MDL for a while. Feel like this site has been abandoned by many. I finished this drama last month. Drama is stunningly beautiful. Just the pace is a bit slow, esp the murder case of Jin family, kinda dragging. However, the ending case was wonderful, and the last four episodes were breathtaking. Yang Yang’s acting is now top tier for sure. Amazing he didn’t stop improving himself after his masterpiece You are My Glory.

I'm back. The producer said S2 will come out next year! Cant wait. BTW, why so many Donhua info here? Here is a Drama forum.

LOL this is AN E-SPORTS DRAMA! of course it has loads of gaming scenes. Plot wise, it's the best e-sports drama ever.

I still remember the moment my palms were sweating badly when watching the last two episodes. Best E-sports drama ever!

Finally!! And the trailer looks good and promising! Yang Yang's drama always has very good quality (crossing out WRTW). Hope this one won't disappoint me.

unfortunately, King's Avatar was dubbed (the producer is stupid<----sorry for my angry words). Would suggest you to try You are my Glory. Yu Tu (by Yang Yang) has super deep sexy voice and the drama is beautiful.

As a hardcore military drama, a genre I normally don't care about much, it's surprisingly good. Great quality and interesting characters. Yang Yang's role to me is like a mix of Hanamichi and Rukawa (both are from Slam Dunk). Try a few eps, you'll know if it's for you or not.

Maybe you missed some of his dramas. He's got lots of facial expressions in Martial Universe and Glory of the special forces. My favorite characters by him are Ye Xiu and Yu Tu (from You are My Glory). I think it's more important to act based on characters themselves, and some IP characters are god like and not down-to-earth at all.

Mostly because ppl tend to see Military drama from China all about propagandas, which is partly true, however GOSF is more a drama inspired by sports manga like Slam Dunk. I'm pretty sure many ppl gave low mark to this drama w/o watching it.

I think the drama did try to solve his problem, just the way Ai Qianxue used, taking Yan to the veteran hospital, worked on him but I don't think it would work for everyone. From what I've read, this is actually the first Chinese military drama that took trauma and mental issue seriously and tried to deal with it.
