On A Tale of Thousand Stars Nov 10, 2023
I rate this series, which ended with the tenth episode just today, very highly for its absolute ORIGINALITY. Gone are the school desks, walking in the corridors and chatter about nothing.
The north of Thailand has started, a remote village on the border and the whole story can be read by anyone who hasn't seen it.

Story 7: already mentioned originality, I deducted three points from perfection for some illogicalities such as a heart transplant, mistaking it for a soul, stretching to the edge in some scenes, a completely unnecessary departure for two years to the USA at the end - when two beings love each other, that's how they should prove it to themselves and not that they go apart or that one of them, long grown up, has to obey mom and dad. It's just that two grown men couldn't grasp their love firmly by the scruff of the neck and face it, and behaved like sleeping flowers without mutual physical contact, which is inherent to love, infatuation and mutual attraction.

Acting 8: the way the characters were written, they didn't require any super-professional performances to the bone. I liked Tian the most (I won't mention their real names) then there was the 3-man line-up from Waterboyy The Series - Phupha, yes, he's nice, but that role was just as thankless as his previous roles in other series - INDECISION, Dr. Nam he was excellent and the role suited him very well and a friend from Bangkok Tul OK.

Sound 10: nothing to complain about, beautiful opening song
Processing 10: originality, professionalism

Title Run
The Filipino film smelling of novelty about the fate of two young men, Gene and Mark, intrigued me and also made me sad. It's a shame that the ending is the way it is, because it might give mainstream society the impression that this is how it should be for two gay men ...(?).
The acting is solid, the Asian theatricality in the norm and the already very familiar Pinoy style of processing for me. I originally wanted to give a six for the music, but in the end I gave it a point more when the film's songs are played at the end of the film, especially the tender Akala ko ay ako - Ford Valencia.

Title Double Mints
The movie based on the manga didn't suit my taste, I didn't like the story. Some of the simpler viewers, when they see these violence and murders, may start using them in reality. Plus wrapped up in an inverted gay relationship. But that does not mean that I will punish the film in other evaluation criteria, when I found the acting and processing to be above average. I do not recommend the film for delicate romantic souls.
On HIStory3: Trapped Nov 4, 2023
An above-average series with a plot different from most of the HIStory series, I was particularly interested in the main couple. Jake Hsu in the role of a policeman was really cute, in some scenes he reminded me of a 16-year-old plucked-eared boy, whose wiry figure is precisely intended for teaching martial arts and karate. In fact, he was 28 years old at the time of filming and played his character convincingly. The plot didn't drag on, on the contrary, in some moments I was even afraid of "what hasn't happened yet" and the references to the past were good so that the viewer could better understand the plot. If it was a combination of state power and crime, I would have easily married the other couple for the sake of believability. Excellent Taiwanese product.
On Happy Together Nov 4, 2023
The film is very unconventional, and that is its strength. Yes, it can have a low or a high rating, I definitely agree that the film is a small original gem not only of the story, direction, processing, but also what some people forget in the rating - the acting.
Two amazing Hong Kong stars gave a super performance, convincing, human and I'm sorry Leslie Cheung ended his life just a few years after this movie premiered. Phew...
This movie is the first of Takumi-kun's five series of yaoi (yaoi) based on the manga, I liked it and didn't offend anything. In simplified terms for a non-Japanese audience, this first volume and the second are rather shonen-ai. The fact that I don't have a quality copy and the sound doesn't change the marks I'm giving. The picture may seem naive, loving, like a fairy tale, but in fact it is shot according to the immutable rules of Japan, and some reviewers may not accept this here. A slightly above-average shonen-ai love movie for me.

Title Water Boyy
Too long series for me. I was a bit bothered by the fact that six actors played the main roles and the constant switching of stories. The viewer watches one story, gets along with the characters, and then spends twenty minutes staring at another. And that sexual vulnerability was taken to the extreme and therefore less interesting for me, out of line. If it weren't for Earth (and several other actors) in the current series 1000 Stars, I probably wouldn't even watch it, because Waii - the character that Earth plays - crawled up my neck. Overall, I took three to five points from perfection in the individual criteria...
Beautifully shot, one might say exactly according to the Japanese rules and standards of shonen-ai manga. A film about love, boyish love, jealousy, discipline and ... death.
Those who do not understand this genre of pictures of the Land of the Rising Sun can only wonder and remain "surprised", see previous reviews.
A sensitive and gentle picture, where Gii is seme and Takumi uke from the very beginning. There was also a change of both actors in the main roles, why, I can't judge, because for example I liked Gii in the first series. I think "two" is one of the best of the whole series.
This award -winning Japanese film, made in part by manga, is a good mystery into the immense depths of the human soul, human fates and the complete intricacy of relationships and sexual orientation. I haven't seen such a valuable picture to portray these features with gay themes. Yes, for example, some less susceptible viewers or those who cannot assemble the story and realize the context, like me as much as I do, but I think those who are empathing in the story despite their own life experience will sit like an ass on a pot .

Dark, rough, real film 18+ I got inside and despite all the evaluation criteria for me 10 I liked the most acting two characters. In the opening photo it looks like they are playing teenagers, but it's a story about adults. At the time of filming 34 -year -old singer and actor Okura Tadayoshi and 26 -year -old model and actor Narita Ryo, who totally got me by portraying the character Imagas, which I initially perceived rather antagonne (find myself, have the courage to accept who I really am .

Very engaging story, humanity breathed on me. Nice acting performances including girl. An disgusting mother (in terms of story). All tuned and processed intimate, very nice jacket. I watched a lot of Rinko. Tôma Ikuta Transzen played with all humility, I searched and recently married. Satisfaction. Certainly I recommend especially those who like Japanese films and can understand them. The film won in various categories at film festivals in Udine, Helsinki, New York, Madrid, Tel Aviv, Lisbon, Berlin, Quezon City and Cologne.
On Restart after Come back Home Oct 30, 2023
A film about abandonment, the search for love and the straightening of family relationships. The story takes place in a quiet area of the Japanese countryside, in contrast to the roaring cauldron of the world's largest megapolis of thirty million people, Greater Tokyo. One could say a simple story, and at the same time so FUNDAMENTAL, full of humanity, humanly acted and the processing was also above average. I recommend it to all viewers who know what life brings or can bring behind somersaults. Even the rating on MDL is one of the highest ever. The story will stay with me for a long time.
Probably forever........

Title 2Wish
Really quite boring, characters dramatically drained. The viewer knows them from other series, so they can compare, and I didn't even trust their "acting" much, even though I know that this pair, for example, performed well in Love by Chance 1 and 2.
On My Personal Trainer Oct 30, 2023
Yes, I agree, it's funny and relaxing, it's cute and the humor is lighthearted, effortless. Overall, as a Korean piece, better average.
On Love Next Door Oct 30, 2023
An average picture spiced up by two handsome young men and their more often exposed bodies is slightly entertaining and reveals the difference between BL series, where it is more about the mental as opposed to the more physical.
On To My Star Oct 30, 2023
Title To My Star
I am meeting the director Hwang Da-Seul for the second time in a short time (the first time was the series Where Your Eyes Linger) and she did not disappoint me again. A beautiful, magical appetizer among BL series will captivate the viewer right from the first episode. It's just that everything is "done" completely differently than the usual scheme. The characters are perfectly written and even better acted, especially the excellent acting performance of the two main representatives in civilian age of 31 and 22 years stands out.

Actor Kang Seo Joon is in trouble because he beat up his best friend, also an actor, in one of the bars. But in reality it was different and Kang doesn't remember much because he was drunk, only his friend got into a fight with a bar guest and blamed it on Kang to hurt him in public opinion and climb the popularity ladder ahead of him. The owner of the agency Kim Pil Hyun, who represents Kang, has to quickly "clean up" him from his luxury apartment to one of his rental houses in the suburbs of Seoul due to intrusive journalists for a while, and pushes him to the young tenant, an introverted, modest and order-loving chef from a bistro Han Ji Woo, who is waiting for a roommate so he doesn't have to pay such a high rent himself.

It's rare for me to look at how much is left until the end, because I wish there were many more episodes ahead of me (I have the opposite tendency with most other BL series). No unnecessary detours and running the story into curls that only delay and lead nowhere, an excellent contrast of the silent and wall-building Han and the chatty Kang with an often magical smile, who always says what he thinks and most importantly - these two beings are hit by the arrow of the most beautiful feeling in the world, what anyone and anywhere could wish for. How will they deal with it when the circumstances of each of them are completely different and public opinion in South Korea is not in favor of such relationships, especially when one of them is a famous actor?
On Tonhon Chonlatee Oct 30, 2023
I do not agree at all with the hateful and degrading review from Kate, on whose bait a lot of easily and unnecessarily influenced viewers fell. The whole series should be taken lightly, with a light joke, and its reach is extraordinary.
I laughed with gusto many times. How to perceive this series must be in the person himself (he must understand Asia) to distinguish the subtlety of the playback here, which is brought here in a spicy form deliberately sometimes to the point of pie creation and complements the overall comic, from some other Asian productions, where naivety, the snobbery or the twistedness is too much for non-Asian viewers. Those who don't get it will condemn the series unnecessarily, but that's their business, not mine. The main thing is that everything has not slipped into a set of "western" sitcoms, when the viewer is "forced" to laugh at every stupid thing in the form of constantly imposed "laughing viewers". Here, the viewer is left with room to consider how to react. This excellent Thai part just ended in January 2021 and I can only write that it was a really nice experience.
Both main characters here are very original. A frail and youthful looking Chonlatee and a sporty type Tonhon with a chest tattoo (which has a meaning in the story - Navigator vs. Ocean). In addition to light entertainment, deeper thoughts also appear in the series, e.g. in one of the late episodes, Chonlatee's mother Nam literally flashes in an argument: "...BETTER TO BE HATED FOR WHAT YOU ARE THAN TO BE LOVED FOR WHAT YOU ARE NOT... .” and I also appreciate the overall message, the attitude towards men who like men, which certainly has an impact on the audience.
The two other gay characters Ai and Nhai (Ni) are also excellent, and the girls Miriam and Pang also contributed to the good fun. There are quite a few fans of these series here at GT, and I definitely recommend this piece to them.
Rating of the series in the Czech Republic: ČSFD 73%, gaytitulky.info 89%
On The Men Who My Father Loved Oct 29, 2023
For the fact that it should be an erotic film, it had a rather clumsy plot, after all. The actor who "played" the father when he was young grimaced so horribly during the erotic scenes, as if nothing was good for him, unlike the other actors, who didn't even have to have slanted eyes for the viewer to recognize that he was of Asian (Japanese) naturel and it also confirmed to me what the Japanese like a lot, and that is ... nipples.
On I Told Sunset about You Oct 29, 2023
I TOLD SUNSET ABOUT YOU
"...It's a story of two people...") as written by Mataa.
Small negatives for me: sometimes artificial stretching (as in the Colombian Ugly Betty), other times Teh's actions seemed illogical (but we are in a series and in Asia). Agree with Extasy - terribly little intimacy, it felt so artificial as from the early days of cinema and not the 21st century. Teh-a's "crying" was funny in the last two episodes, only in one shot I laughed instead of crying, when the grin was so long and huge with water flowing from the eyes and artificial snot from the nose ...
Big positives: the music is really very good for the fact that in Thailand I'm more used to sensitive pianos, when I don't recognize the song from the song, that it would be somehow different (yes here), good acting and Hoon - the symposia (Teh's brother).
