This film is not finished here, but it has been finished for a long time. In the first half, I was more on the mother's side. Strange. These shorts quickly throw the story at the viewer in a short time and then I think about it, and that happened to me here too. Solidly acted! It's not a ten for me, but these forgotten, tucked away Korean shorts definitely bring something extra to me. 7,5
A Korean seroche with actors all over thirty (31, 33, 34) and all of them, as is often the case in East Asia, looked ten years younger. I was curious about the project. The first parts were gloomy and at the same time seductive, rough. I had already seen actor Jeong Ri U, who plays Jeonghan, somewhere and at first I didn't know whether to hate or love him, because from a despot and a rude man he gradually turned out to be an unhappy loving lamb. In any case, he charmed me over the course not only with how he portrayed the character, but also with his aura, appearance, tall figure, long fingers. In the dark beginning, in his apartment that looked like a poorly lit pharmacy, he sexually abused his half-cousin Ilya, whom the creators hit on the head with a frying pan so that he would have the affine up to his eyes and look like E.T. at first. But everything gradually changed, especially with the incredible turn in the characters' behavior. I fell in love with both of them. There were also small flaws in the processing and details, but that was not important. What was important was how addictive the whole story made me with the Korean acting's austere coldness and unmistakable deep-sounding language ... just great. I also really liked Suhyo - the cafe manager with his beautiful Korean face, this time without affine. Great satisfaction.
A Filipino film, I'm just reminding you. Right at the beginning, at the father's coffin, the "lady" surprised me, so much so that I had to laugh. A film about the search for truth. A film about the relationship between a son and a father, I'm deliberately putting the son first. And how the boys said it nicely through the mirror. And the last part of the film? I almost shed a tear and they both played it inwardly, both the son and the young father. I'm writing again: A Filipino film, I'm just reminding you.
For eleven!!! Until the beginning of this series, I only had two seroš that were beyond my rating. They just grew right into my soul and only a level behind them are my excellent series from the first set of the best for me, which I had previously rated a full ten. Now I have three series that have grown into my soul outside my rating and ABO has become my drug. The viewer must put themselves in another omega dimension and only there can they enjoy this great work. And I know that this Chinese project with the help of Taiwan is not for everyone and many simply will not give it a go, they will not be able to transfer themselves to this "different" environment. This series is difficult and unfolds as if slowly (but that is just the shell and those who do not watch carefully may miss important details) and may be rated even lower by some viewers, they will unnecessarily dig into the details, but that is completely beyond me, it is their problem. The story, the acting, the choice of actors, the camera, the editing, the music (!), the set, the interiors, the make-up ... well, everything is simply TOP for me. Sheng, the rich Alfa S-class, is nicely pulled by the threads of the story in the first episodes and I really liked all the actors. I didn't mind the wealth, the expensive cars, the way I sometimes do in Thai series when students play "rich people". Here it makes sense and the story was excellently written and acted. I really believed the actors that their "dreamy" and sometimes even slowed down (sometimes almost "sleepwalking") or frozen characters, which is the purpose and not for the audience to curse for it, were from another world of people like Alpha, Beta, Omega, Alpha type S, Enigma and I was enchanted by the fact that some of the characters can "go into heat", emit various scents or even stench and even males can get pregnant, dominant males on the other hand have a "rut" period, the ability to "mark" their chosen ones, etc. When in one episode our Enigma started going into heat prematurely and also got mating syndrome and was carried away by the Alpha S male Sheng, who had subdued dozens of Omegas with his "ancestor", and this time he got away with a torn "butt", they were so impressed with me. The fact that non-Beta Gao loved Shen, the enemy of the stinking Omegas, so madly from the very beginning, and almost lost his health because of it, was another dimension of the story, not to mention the fact that Shen didn't admit to himself for a long time that he actually loved this non-Beta. I was even more annoyed by the last episode, where in my opinion there was not much dedicated to the Gao - Shen story, but after the second viewing everything fell into place. Well .... I fell for it completely, the series will probably never let me go and I admit that I even wiped my eyes at some scenes, I'm a poor thing, ruined by this project ... 4x out of 11
Lust or love at first sight or both? A small pebble from a line called life. And quite a good one. "If you lose, I'll be on top." "And if I win, we'll see each other every day after that."
I don't like to say goodbye to beauty. The inner beauty that Pond and PeterPan transferred to me ... I was captivated by the show right from the start, even with the perfectly fitting main melody in the opening credits. I mainly want to emphasize that the way Pond and PeterPan portrayed their relationship is something you don't see in Thai series. Absolutely amazing, from many angles, to the core of the soul, those eyes and everything around, the script also helped. It was far from just the shallow I love you, superficial flirting, nor was detailed eroticism stuffed into the series like elsewhere. Both young (straight) gentlemen perfectly convinced me of their love, timeless love to the core. And sometimes Pond looked like a little girl, but never too warm or twisted, and during kisses he always opened his mouth like a catfish, until I was scared that he wanted to swallow Thada 😻 . It just suited me, and probably not only me. And what PeterPan showed in the tenth episode after Armin's fall (at home and in the hospital) I haven't seen in BL series for a long time and I needed tissues. Excellent underlining music, song. And in general, the tenth episode was (up to the beginning) EXCELLENT and blew me away in terms of love for ever and the acting of both main characters... Janine also suited me perfectly in the episodic role, not overdone as we are used to with Pinoy monsters, Lilly is a complete bitch, the beautiful and sympathetic Weinai (half Thai and half American, basketball player), I would like to see him again sometime. On the other hand, Thiwthit was quite a thorn in my side, not the character he played, of course, but the choice of an actor with a sweet face, so I often didn't trust his negative vengeful character's grimaces (especially in the first episodes). It's a shame they didn't choose someone with a "rat" face (like Lilly, if she was a man, that would be a shame 😹). And did you notice at the end of the ten, when in 2025 Thada and Armin are sitting before the awards ceremony, which of my darlings (and maybe not only mine) are sitting behind them holding hands?? ❤️
I appreciate the story in the film, even if it was a little rough once or twice. The positive ending, when a human being torn from one country finds himself in a completely different country, his groping and loneliness underlined by his minority orientation, was probably the best thing about the film, which can give the viewers of these pages that "something" extra. In my opinion, the American Kryštof seemed to me to be a better screenwriter and producer than an actor. But the Japanese Kryštof really suited me. Not only with more convincing acting than his ten-year-old counterpart, but above all with the overall aura of a Japanese superman and managed to "push" my mark for everyone's acting to at least an A. If I ever return to the film, it will be because of the story and Ken. 8688
This is an absolutely amazing series for me. Sheng, the rich Alfa S, is nicely pulled by the threads of the story and I'm starting to like almost all of the actors incredibly. I don't mind the wealth, expensive cars, the way I sometimes do with Thai series when students play "rich people". It makes sense here and the story is excellently written and acted, I really believe in the actors that their characters are from another world. All of the actors here are likable, excellent camera work, interiors. I understand that not everyone will like this series, it's hard to understand and I'm all the more a fan of it and I'm not at all for someone to punish the series with a rating just because it comes out once a week. After all, the actors and creators can't be blamed for that. For me, not a 10, but an 11! Beautiful song, each episode has become a drug for me and I have seen each of them three times already ...
Yes, exactly, exactly. I actually also watched this series just to try it out and I was rather critical of the first episode, especially of the two guys, who I didn't know in detail, I don't have time to watch all the series and Gawin, in a good sense of the word, with his slightly withdrawn, stony face, seemed like the grandson from the movie Planet of the Apes 😁. But I gradually got into it and the series finally got me completely, not only because of how "well" it ended, but overall. It's one of the few where I didn't skip the subtitles at the front or back, the guys can sing well and the songs always caressed my soul beautifully and Mark kept me awake with his figure and beautiful teeth, to the point where I had to write somewhere: "...Mark, don't you want to visit me in my bedroom? I also have golden blood, you'll see!..." 🤪And when Mark pulled his face until wrinkles appeared at the bridge of his nose, opened his big nostrils and exposed his big white fangs, I wished I could give him my blood 😸. I give him a ten for all the criteria, although I would rather give him a nine for the acting, but others will surely do that for me. And finally... do you know what got me the most? Cuteness - but not at all the kind you would think and which many reviewers on other sites flaunt along with "chemistry". The few scenes of physical contact between the two actors, the slight awkwardness and CUTE heterosexual awkwardness were an added bonus.
His partner was a nail technician; he was meant to have long nails. He then kept them short when he got together…
There may be what he wants, I only evaluate the series and do not compare. It is illogical that he has cut nails in the fifth episode, and then the long ones, the nails will not grow across the shopping center. And at all, this is disgusting for me.
I rate it overall as 9.3, but Hagiwara had disgustingly long nails, in the fifth episode he had them cut short so that in the story the next day he would have them long and disgusting again
In this hetero ocean, two fish appear, each with its own sea and deep down they have doubts about who they really are... Japan produces LGBTQ+ projects, ranging from complete strongholds to completely unrealistic pieces based on manga, but still Japanese society as a whole is not so open to human differences on the outside, traditions and uniformity are adhered to. This wonderful piece is proof of how these two characters were shy and approached their inner differences so cautiously. That is why, in my opinion, this series is so different from most others, which offer unreality, fairy tales and often we don't find many hetero characters in the project. Thanks to the director, the entire team and both guys who put that special Japanese charm and absolute REALITY into it, it is civil, HUMAN and for me not 10/10, but 11/10. Someone here mentions whether the project would have been so highly rated if it weren't for BL. Of course it wasn't. After all, the hetero characters wouldn't have to fumble around so much, come to terms with their difference on the outside, and it would have been a completely normal series.
A completely different, fascinating film that will devour and crush the soul of every sensitive viewer, fully dedicated to the problems of minority groups and distorted relationships between people. There is no point in describing it. What Jeff performed, including that song, and was complemented by many other actors (some of the characters I actually hated) is breathtaking for me, as is recognition for the entire team led by the young director and screenwriter in one.
One nation and two regimes. In one, one man decides everything and everyone, in the other, he would like to decide (see recent political problems). I was completely shocked by the beginning, where behind the propaganda texts read by crazy North Korean announcers, two North Korean soldiers are greedily kissing and then having sex in an explicit scene. The film probably won't be for everyone, but it appealed to me with its harsh reality to the bone, the ending is different than I expected, but I have to admit that, fitting the story and at the very end, the scene with Jae Sung brought tears to my eyes. An immense symposia by Kim Tae Hoon in the role of Youn Joon, even though with a Thai cap on his head. The acting is superb and all three gentlemen had a great time in those revealing scenes. A deep, sad, misunderstood by many and depressing film with beautiful, subtle background music about relationships between men, hard life and a divided Korea.
"How should I feel... it's bland... the third scene is rushed" and that's what this Korean short is about. About searching, about real life and not bedtime stories. That's what I really liked about it. And the funny title of the film to boot.
