The series is a favorite of mine and I have seen it about 4 times. For those of you who don't have that many hours, here is a film version of this story about a young man and his bodyguard (cut into two hours) with Czech subtitles.
I already know Rex Lantan from other Pinoy projects. Here, with an angelic face, even though he is no longer a teenager, he portrays Kiko, who has already experienced a lot in his young life, but was overshadowed by Viktor Sy (Mark's character), who looks great for his age and the whole project is focused on a young masseur from the physics point of view he (unintentionally) "stole", that is, at least for me. In terms of story, I value the series with adult themes the most, it's short, it doesn't run away, of course you can tell the Pinoy processing. Definitely above average by Philippine standards.
I prepared for the series in advance, studied as much as possible and watched it in one day. Feelings amazing. Mysterious, mystical, 99 days ... something very different, unique, and I was enchanted above all by the cast of all the characters, two of which I already know from other projects. Menn and Rossi fit their roles perfectly, not only because they look great, but also as actors. I don't have anything to complain about, I pass the little things by the overall impression. I only scratched one point with the music, when really in about two or three scenes the musical background had a slightly distracting effect, and in other places, on the contrary, it was very good, magical. Despite my almost TOP rating, I only recommend it to some viewers, not everyone will like this slightly different project.
I'll take it from the last episode. I really appreciate the message from Taiwan, when the ending was touching and the actors, regardless of their orientation and mostly straight, together with the creators and the director, told the whole world very clearly, beautifully, beautifully, "Taiwanese" ... And again, the connection with the previous series, this time not with one actor as in HIS4, but with two actors from HIS4 here in HIS5. I recognized the same manuscript right away (the same direction of HIS4 and HIS5) and I rate it similarly very well, as well as HIS4, which, unlike the previous reviewer, I thought was perhaps even a hair better. Monvi and I agreed after the first and second parts that we both liked the Malaysian Hai Yi the least physically, but it was only a first impression, and in the end he was one of the biggest symposia. The character of Johnny had a difficult acting position. Overall very satisfied.
I didn't expect any miracles, but the mini-series, which is shorter than the feature film, convinced me only in the story that it has "something nice" in it. Unfortunately, everything else was just very average for me.
The subject is not very original, perhaps only in the second half, when love should or should not get a second chance. Nevertheless, I found this mini-film to be only average with all evaluation criteria and I will not return to it.
A routine Thai series that didn't bring me anything new. Everything is "packaged" with professional processing, but some invention, idea, originality compared to others is no accident, even if the subject is engaging. When I saw (again) the fall, when their mouths ended up together after the fall, they almost scolded me, it is probably everywhere, but in this case they would have to knock out their teeth, which of course did not happen. Don't rely too much on me. Not that you can't watch it, the overall impression is a passable, likeable Ryou, Anda didn't even impress me as an actor, his brother Thee was a solid and above all a perfect Thai Male, I would like to see him in other projects as well, I was also interested in acting Bank and Jet.
According to my point of view and perception, the strongest side of this series is the music, the efforts of the actors. The fact that it is Korea, which means rather fewer episodes and a shorter footage, did not surprise me. Nor that I perceive Korean as a strange deep-singing language pleasing to my ear. But what it should have been at the end, let the creators, director and actors go to the back. Even a three-year-old girl would give her mother a hundred times more beautiful kiss than what was seen in the eighth episode and I just wanted to throw the saber from those two mannequin masks. Brrr, I hope this scene wasn't eaten by naive Korean fans either...
Here, the series had a lot going for it... The magic in it was hidden in a very complicated story (when time passed "normally" for one of the main characters and for the other one backwards!) and I confess that I was also in it for the first time he couldn't navigate, but I was lucky enough to participate in the translation, so I saw the episodes more than once. Maybe some viewers will just skip it due to time constraints and won't have a chance to "figure it out". What else could we ask for from the great director Tanwarin. The acting supr, especially Ohm in the role of Muma, convinced me that there is "something" in him, I would like Fluke to find a project where he won't be teased by the hairdressers. I was pleasantly surprised by the character of Mint, played by Asian standards quite naturally, impeccable Game (actor Potae), Vee (the second real gay in the series, civilian name Plustor), his ex-boyfriend (beautiful elderly Nat, how about the third real gay?). Music, I won't even argue about it, excellent camera, colors, processing.
Whatever one wants to say, for me it was a thriller with a similar theme to my favorite Golden Blood, and in that case I will also overlook some small things in the story and processing, where I would otherwise give it a 9. There were not so elaborate battles, but I was interested in a different way, for example episode 9 got me completely. Palm and Phuwin were great, and Phuwin is only 19, which surprised me for such a mature performance. The rest of the cast was also excellent, perhaps only Kit with his nice face didn't remind me much of the villain. Overall great satisfaction, finally something really good again.
"Strange romance" but fun and well acted for me, I take everything with a grain of salt like the creators. The expression of desire, lust and possession was portrayed very well...
A gentle series, sometimes it seemed like a diet, but that was the style of playing, Korea, it slowed down a bit in the middle parts, but the last three drew me into the story again. Gu Mu Yeong was a case in itself. I haven't seen an Asian boy like that for a long time, drooping eyelids, often a sleepy expression, movement and speech (I mean that in a good way) and he seemed to me with his facial features, hairstyle, as if he was cut out of paper, from those portraits. Pleasant, dear.
Gun seven years ago in the role of Gump, then with his thin body looked like a feather in contrast to his two other actors in the main roles with athletic bodies (Nai + Sunz), but also to the other young men in the supporting roles, where I liked him the most not only as an actor earlobe Ball. Pilcher's story wrapped in Asian + BL was pleasant, but it did not leave a significant mark on my soul, but the whole had a solid effect on me, definitely not below average.
I rate this film a tenth less than its successor Love Love You. 90% of it is a civilian story that differs from the emptiness of American muscle cars. Pak (Nai) shows that he still has a lot of hard work ahead of him in the gym and Soda as a character bothered me that she kind of didn't care when she found out that Nai didn't love her anymore. But what the film was supposed to convey, it conveyed, and for that, thanks.
Mek, who portrayed the character of the doctor, definitely dominated for me, both acting and appearance. The second character of the teacher was pleasant, but at the beginning she irritated me quite a bit with her teaching and I found her less expressive, especially in terms of acting. Overall nice, but more for LBGTQ+ youth fans, which in Asia means adults too. I can't give a higher rating, then Dear Doctor, Triage, etc. would have to be at eleven for me. There was no change in the processing, still the same scene of tripping, slipping, when the faces of the actors come together, slowing down, hugely emotional music like from Romeo and Juliet. I call these scenes "béelporno". And the two from the entourage, who were actually doing (?) Platonic things in that village, like the previous version (Tian+Phupha), which disappointed me even then with the characters of two eunuchs instead of two adult men in their best sex-years, almost horny " they'll drive over a mouse hole in a field, but at least 1000 Stars had better music and more distinctive actors.
It wasn't bad at all, a bit different for the Japanese, light. I completely agree with both review ladies that the acting was dominant, partly without unnecessarily large Japanese affects. The twenty-two-year-old Yuki was every bit as convincing, followed by the emaciated nineteen-year-old Rintaro. The music-piano component also added to the subtleties. Satisfaction.
A shorter series from the often depicted school environment. I was particularly interested in the two main actors, as well as "Uncle Man", whom I saw in the first row of Drag Race Thailand and the pair Close Friend. Otherwise, I'll admit that I tend to look for more adult stories, but this series was shorter, so it was possible. I probably won't go back to it despite the amount of production, thank you for the translation.
Beautiful but sad. Sad from start to finish. The story line was like a straight line. It all came to an expected end in slow motion. Actors OK, I was mainly convinced by Sora Inoue.
During the first episode, I was embarrassed that Bai Lang, already a few years old from the school desks, was so naive, and the owner of the dental clinic, An, seemed bland to me. But everything changed radically in the course of time. It turned out to be a completely cute and funny series that combined the inseparable for me - the fear of dentists and love, and I have to appreciate the excellent acting, the plot and the story, for which I originally wanted to give "only" a nine, because Cheng and RJ were not for me somewhat story-driven, or their relationship didn't progress much and the third couple was only there for the number, it didn't have to be there at all...
