At first it looks like one of the other stories of meeting after years, of which we already have several here. The plot and the funny conclusion made the film above average, which does not solve the hidden homosexuality (or bisexuality or straight open mind???), but overall I had a pleasant feeling about the film and I do not regret the half hour of time at all.

The story of Cesar and Ador dominated here for me, and it could easily have been set elsewhere, in another time, it was not connected to the dictatorship period as much as, for example, the movie Muli, but because of the way everything ends, it was probably the right choice, that the two first met as NPA fighters somewhere in the mountains of Quezon. However, the traditional wedding with the wife of one of them did not stick out here as some extra artifice, but blended naturally with the story, in addition, Cecilia Za mlada (Levi Poe) was a beautiful girl and Cesar (Jake Cuenca) was a hell of a guy. Tradiční svatba se ženou jednoho z nich ale tady netrčela jako nějaká umělina navíc, ale splynula přirozeně s dějem, navíc Cecilia za mlada (Levi Poe) byla krásná dívka a Cesar (Jake Cuenca) sakra sympoš chlap. Příběh nikde nebrzdil, a i když jsem věděl, jak to dopadne, dodíval jsem se v pozornosti až do konce a film ve mě stále ještě doznívá ...

If I had my eyes closed and the movie started, I would have guessed from the great trumpet music that Jeffrey (1995 American gay movie - we have it here) is starting. However, the story of this short story is equally rambling to the point of craziness, even though it is otherwise completely different in plot, origin and date of creation. However, one of the fathers seemed too warm to the creators (Steven Jiang, who also played the main role of a teacher in HIStory2: Right or Wrong) to add more "comedy" (femininity, lace, etc.), but on the other hand, it can " to deceive" the audience that cohabiting men are all so "weird". But the film moved to the heights for me thanks to the great music /trumpet, piano/.

Kdybych měl zavřené oči a film začal, tipoval bych podle skvělé hudby trubky, že začíná Jeffrey (americký gay film z r. 1995 - máme jej zde). Ovšem stejná rozšafnost až potrhlost se nese i v příběhu tohoto kraťasu, i když jinak je zcela odlišný dějem, původem i datem vzniku. Akorát se mi zdál jeden z tatínků příliš tvůrci přiteplalý (Steven Jiang, který hrál i hlavní roli učitele v HIStory2: Right or Wrong), aby to dodalo větší "komediálnosti" (zženštilost, kraječky atd.), ale na druhé straně to může "klamat" diváctvo, že muži, kteří žijí ve společném svazku jsou všichni tací "divní". Another of Miko Jacinta's films presented here takes us into the environment of the "production" of gay films a decade or more ago in the Philippines. Amateurism is present here, especially with regard to "acting" performances, with perhaps two or three exceptions. However, the story itself has its own depth and I rate it this way, but at the same time I do not recommend the film to the vast majority of the staff here and "professional" critics, turn your attention to other projects. It belongs to a set of Pinoy movies from a decade ago and more that I collect and we have quite a few listed here already, but a whole line is still missing and almost untraceable.

Další z filmů Miko Jacinta zde uvedných nás zavádí do prostředí "výroby" gay filmů před dekádou a více na Filipínách. Amatérismus zde je přítomen, hlavně co se týká "hereckých" výkonů, snad až na dvě tři výjimky. Samotný příběh má ale svou hloubku a hodnotím takto, zároveň ale valné většině zdejšího osazenstva a "odborným" kritikům snímek spíše nedoporučuji, obraťte svou pozornost k jiným projektům. Patří k množině pinoy filmů před dekádou a více, které sbírám a máme jich zde uvedeno již docela dost, ale ještě celá řádka chybí a je téměř nedohledatelná.

Action, drama, romance - I would trade all of these for a comedy. Everything was so strange, gross (certainly on purpose), miserable from the point of view of a European viewer that I had to laugh at some scenes (instead of being afraid or crying). I recommend it to some viewers, as a "refreshment" after a day's trudging at work. Gentlemen tried, but I can't squeeze a higher rating out of myself ... Just an eye for an eye, a hole for a hole ... ??????

Akční, drama, romantický - toto všechno bych vyměnil za komedii. Vše bylo tak divné, toporné (určitě schválně), z pohledu evropského diváka mizerné, že jsem se musel u některých scén (místo abych se bál či plakal), smát. Doporučuji některým divákům, jako "osvěžení" po denním plahočení se v práci. Pánové se snažili, ale vyšší hodnocení ze sebe nevymáčknu ... Prostě oko za oko, díra za díru ... ??????

I really liked director Anucha's last work - the series Not Me, so I tried this film, her first film from 2004, originally as a university graduation film, and here you can feel something different, nice. I fully agree with the depositor of this film r4472c that it is above all a charming picture, sometimes a work of art, and this time the Thai sticky, torturous, sometimes sad music sat like a pot. It's just a shame that the experience was spoiled by a bad copy of the movie.

Poslední dílo režisérky Anuchy - seriál Not Me, se mi moc líbil, tak jsem zkoukl tento film, její prvotinu z roku 2004, původně jako vysokoškolský absolventský film a už zde je cítit něco jiného, pěkného. Plně souhlasím s vkladatelem tohoto filmu r4472c, že se jedná především o okouzlující obraz, kolikrát přímo výtvarné dílo, a tentokráte mi i thajská tklivá, mučivá, někdy smutná hudba, sedla jako prdel na hrnec. Škoda jen, že prožitek kazila nedobrá kopie filmu.

For me, gay romance was just such a whitewash, diet, BLANK, rather really just a bromance. A film that didn't bring me much new, as if it was made for older children, but set in part in the beautiful Thai environment that tourists love so much. The music is nice at times, but I found it often violent. One not-so-much scene and a wistful and mournful piano melody kicks in, and many times, it's as if the creators were looking for depth in a scene that was flat in terms of story and acting.


Gay romance to pro mě byla jen taková piánko, dietní, NEVÝRAZNÁ, spíše opravdu jen bromance. Film, který mě nic moc nepřinesl nového, jakoby točený pro větší děti, ale zasazeno zčásti do krásného thajského prostředí, které turisté tak milují. Hudba sice někdy hezká, ale připadalo mi to mnohdy násilné. Jedna nic moc scéna a k tomu se rozjede tklivá a zarmoucená klavírní melodie, a mnohokrát, jakoby tvůrci hledali hlubokomyslnost ve scéně, která byla příběhově i herecky plochá.

I really appreciate that Koreans tackled such a neglected topic, and in connection with the gay relationship. This makes the picture, at least for me, a refined little gem underlined by delicacy, sensitivity, respect and tenderness. Actually, the actors weren't that super top, but actually they were, because the creators managed to wrap up the whole "something" and present it as one complex package. Nice...


Hodně si cením, že se Korejci pustili do tak opomíjeného tématu, a navíc ještě ve spojitosti s gay vztahem. Tím se ze snímku stává alespoň pro mě malý vytříbený klenot podtržený jemností, citlivostí, respektem i něhou. Vlastně herci zase až tak supr top nebyli, ale vlastně byli, neboť tvůrcům se podařilo celé "to něco" uzavřít a podat to jako jeden komlexní balíček. Pěkné ...

I always appreciate the fact that the Japanese go all out. This is also the case with this project, when the actors and the "meringues" play as they should be and are not fishy or stone-like, as we are often used to in Thailand, the Philippines, and sometimes in Korea. It's a real-life drama where the men cheat on each other, are cruel, lied to and then play the victim, the acting is excellent. I didn't find anything about the sound that would make me evaluate it as below average, I was bothered by the last long "frazzled" conclusion to the "disappointed" Shin, even though the creators probably wanted it that way. In the evaluation, many viewers deduct points for the fact that it is not a fairy tale or at least a semi-fairy tale, the characters are not handsome princes, and men who like men are depicted here in not very flattering colors. But even this is life itself for me. The film gave me "something" and I also thank you for the Slovak subtitles.


U Japonců si vždy cením toho, že jdou do všeho naplno. Tak je tomu i u tohoto projektu, kdy herci i ty "pusinky" zahrají tak, jak mají být a nejsou rybí či kamenné, jak jsme zvyklí mnohdy v Thajsku, Filipínách, někdy i v Koreji. Je to drama ze života, kdy se ti muži podvádí navzájem, jsou krutí, prolhaní a pak si hrají na ublížené oběti, herecké výkony výborné. U zvuku jsem nenašel nic, co by mě přimělo hodnotit jej jako podprůměrný, ve zpracování mi vadil poslední dlouhý "roztřepaný" závěr na "zklamaného" Shina, i když to zřejmě tak tvůrci chtěli. V hodnocení mnozí diváci strhnou body za to, že to není pohádka nebo alespoň polopohádka, postavy nejsou žádní krásní princové a muži, co mají rádi muže, jsou zde vykresleni v ne moc lichotivých barvách. Ale i toto je pro mě život sám. Film mi to "něco" dal a rovněž děkuji za slovenské titulky.

By Philippine standards, a very good film, an interesting story set in an even more interesting environment, excellent processing and acting at a high level. Of course, besides the beautiful Abby, I was also interested in Jason (Paolo Gumabao, he also plays in another film here on GT, Lockdown) and Dennis (Vince Rillon, he plays the main role in the seventh story of the mixed puzzle shown here called Unlocked). There was no replay, convulsion, or any of the grinning trances that abound in almost every Pinoy project, and the story didn't detract from the main plot. Very nice, believable.

Na filipínské poměry velmi dobrý film, zajímavý příběh zasazený do ještě zajímavějšího prostředí, výborné zpracování a herecky na výši. Samozřejmě kromě krásné Abby mě zaujali i Jason (Paolo Gumabao, hraje i v dalším filmu zde na GT uvedeném Lockdown) a Dennis (Vince Rillon, hraje hlavní roli v sedmém příběhu mixové skládanky zde uvedené s názvem Unlocked). Nebylo tam přehrávání, křeč, ani žádné šklebící se transky, které se hemží téměř v každém pinoy projektu a příběh neodbíhal od hlavního děje. Moc hezké, uvěřitelné.

I prayed that the young director would avoid the mistakes he made with Paano Kaya Kung Tayo, which I rated solid with my eyes closed mainly because of the lead actors, some of whom are also in this series. Those who know me know that I always try to find something positive in a project, to praise for the effort and not to boost my ego, what a strict critic I am. But it really didn't work for me here. Total amateurism, when all the mistakes were repeated and more were added to them. Even a low-budget film can make a whip, but here it stayed with that dirty word, as the whole Czech saying sounds, and even the guys who played there didn't get it out of that mess.
STORY: only a tragedy could have written it, no real plot, just two antagonistic parties of young people, an implausible ending.
ACTORS: amateurism of the first class, I will perhaps build a monument to two characters: Calix's mother (in the way she treated her children) and an affected shot in the form of a girl with long hair.
SOUND: in connection with the PROCESSING - not very good, some scenes and the orchestra - the feeling that the creators are constantly artificially creating heart-wrenching or dramatic scenes, the main song is good and in one passage fake. The director (who also wrote the story) would probably benefit if he went to dig canals instead, maybe it would be better ...

Modlil jsem se, aby se mladý režisér vyvaroval chyb, kterých se dopustil u Paano Kaya Kung Tayo, který jsem ohodnotil solidně se zavřenýma očima především kvůli hlavním hercům, z nichž někteří hrají i v tomto seriálu. Ti, kteří mě znají, ví, že se snažím vždy na projektu najít něco kladného, pochválit za snahu a neposilovat si své ego, jaký jsem přísný kritik. Tady mi to ale opravdu nešlo. Totální amatérismus, kdy se všechny chyby zopakovaly a přibyly k nim ještě další. I z nízkorozpočtového snímku se dá uplést bič, tady to ale zůstalo u toho sprostého slova, jak zní celé české rčení a z toho odéru to nevytáhli ani ti kluci, co tam hráli.
PŘÍBĚH: to mohl napsat snad jen tragéd, žádná pořádná zápletka, jen dvě antagonní party mladých lidí, konec nevěrohodný.
HERCI: amatérismus první třídy, dvěma postavám snad postavím pomník: Calixova matka (v tom jak se chovala ke svým dětem) a afektovaný panák v podobě dívky s dlouhými vlasy.
ZVUK: ve spojení se ZPRACOVÁNÍM - ne moc dobrý, některé scény a k tomu ten orchestr - pocit, že neustále uměle tvůrci navozují srdceryvné či dramatické scény, hlavní píseň dobrá a v jedné pasáži falešná. Režisérovi (příběh i napsal) by zřejmě prospělo, kdyby šel raději kopat kanály, možná by to lepší ...

I definitely liked the Korean movie adaptation of this manga, which we have here under the name Antique Bakery (2008), much more than this somewhat "artificial" series for me. What was a plus was the cast, nice people and generally well acted, I liked less the small percentage of the BL component and on top of that, it was strange and completely against my skin that the children were more involved in the story, their disappearances and murders. If you don't want to bother and waste time with the often unnecessarily drawn-out and superimposed scenes of this project, I recommend watching Korea instead.

Rozhodně se mi mnohem více líbila filmová korejská adaptace této mangy, kterou zde máme uvedenu pod názvem Antique Bakery (2008), než tento pro mě tak trochu "vyumělkovaný" seriál. Co bylo plusem, bylo herecké obsazení, sympaťáci a vesměs dobře zahráno, méně se mi líbilo malé procento BL složky a ještě k tomu divné a úplně proti mé srsti bylo větší zapletení dětí do příběhu, jejich zmizení a vražd. Kdo nechce trápit a ztrácet čas mnohdy zbytečně protahovanými a nadstavovanými scénami tohoto projektu, doporučuji raději zhlédnout Koreu.

An excellent adult series from Thailand, time-consuming, full of tension and in which I literally bit all my nails. The director invited some of his favorite actors from the 3 Will Be Free project and there are no more illogicalities, shootings and murders in the story, which I acknowledge with gratitude. No BL, but a thriller, a drama with a gay component, beautiful actors and actresses, from the cream of Thailand. One huge scumbag, surrounded by other scumbags, scumbags and cheaters. Intrigues such as you can hardly imagine, where Mexican or Turkish soap operas or tons of crime drama series on Czech televisions and retired actors, who always solve everything, dig into this story. It had a gradient, gradation and some well-known actors from BL projects (Dan, Tin, Mikey, Fight) or even real gays (Touch-gay friend of Eva's father) can be seen. All the characters are played very well, the main gay couple is Pitch and Matt, and another gay couple of supporting characters - Eva's father and his friend - plays an important role in the intrigue. I didn't expect to be so engrossed in it, I recommend it more to those who are looking for fun, suspense, adult concepts and don't want teenage Thai schoolboys walking the corridors in shorts and school uniforms.

Výborný dospělácký seriál z Thajska, časově náročný, plný napětí a u kterého jsem si obrazně ohryzal snad všechny nehty. Režisér si pozval některé své oblíbené herce z projektu 3 Will Be Free a v příběhu již není tolik nelogičností, stříleček a vražd, což kvituji s povděkem. Žádné BL, ale thriller, drama s gay složkou, krásní herci a herečky, z prostředí thajské smetánky. Jedna obrovská mrcha, obklopená dalšími mrškami, vyčuránky a podvodníčky. Intriky, jaké si sotva dovedete představit, kam se hrabou na tento příběh mexické či turecké telenovely nebo tuny krimi seriálů na českých televizích a vysloužilými herci, co vždy všechno vyřeší. Mělo to spád, gradaci a vidět je některé známé herce z BL projektů (Dan, Tin, Mikey, Fight) nebo i skutečné gaye (Touch-gay přítel Evina otce). Všechny postavy zahrány velmi dobře, z těch hlavních gay pár tvoří Pitch a Matt a dále důležitou roli v intrikách hraje i další gay pár vedlejších postav - Evin otec s jeho přítelem. Nečekal jsem, že mě to tak pohltí, doporučuji spíše těm, co hledají zábavu, napětí, dospělé pojetí a nechtějí náctileté thajské školáčky chodící po chodbách v kraťasech a školních uniformách.

The project is certainly not top-notch, but I was amused, somewhat crazy, funny, light and cute in the way the actors went all out in a certain physical contact, including "hands-on". Actors - nice guys and that girlfriend played fourth fiddle there. And one more interesting thing. The various stories, what about the uncut versions, I have the cuts as well, but they are meringue, cuddling. The series was perhaps the last one before the well-known stricter Chinese regulation, and after it projects with BL and gay themes didn't make much of a cut... what a shame.



Projekt jistě není úplně top, ale pobavil mě, někde malinko ztřeštěný, vtipný, lehký a roztomilý v tom, jak do určitého fyzického kontaktu včetně "ošahávaček" herci šli naplno. Herci - sympaťáci a ta přítelkyně tam hrála čtvrté housle. A ještě jedna zajímavost. Ty různé povídačky, jak je to s uncut verzemi, mám i ty střihy, ale jedná se o pusinky, mazlení. Seriál totiž byl snad poslední před známým zpřísněným čínským nařízením, a po něm si už projekty s BL a gay tematikou moc neškrtly ... velká škoda.
