It's such a beautiful film that it deserves better copy and better credits, but let's at least be happy with what's available. For me, the experience of the film was supported to the greatest extent by the music (it's that special atmosphere), which stopped only for a moment. In the second half of the film, I shed a tear here and there, sometimes because of the "special atmosphere", sometimes because of the story. The film is completely Japanese, exactly according to their requirements (according to Japanese women, beautiful bishonen youths and manga characters) and perception, and will probably always remain behind in the evaluation, because Western viewers also evaluate it according to their one-sided "standards", binding themselves and not with the story and acting bulls to understand. The story is deep and visceral, the acting is convincing and exactly as the Japanese require in this kind of production, the music is absolutely dominant, I already wrote about it, and the processing is tasteful (especially the nude scenes). Je to tak krásný film, že by zasloužil lepší kopii i lepší titulky, ale buďme rádi alespoň za to, co je k dispozici. U mě podpořila největší měrou zážitek z filmu hudba (to je ta zvláštní atmosféra), která se zastavila vždy jen na chvilku. Ve druhé půli filmu mi i sem tam ukápla slzička, jednou z té "zvláštní atmosféřy", jindy kvůli příběhu. Snímek naprosto japonský, přesně dle jejich požadavků (dle Japonek krásní bishonen mladíci a mangovské postavičky) a vnímání a zůstane asi vždy v hodnocení pozadu, neboť jej hodnotí i západní diváci dle svých jednostranných "norem", zavazejíc sami sobě a nejsou s to příběh a herecké býkony pochopit. Příběh je hluboký a niterný, herectví přesvědčivé a přesně tak, jak Japonci v tomto druhu produkce vyžadují, hudba je naprosto dominantní, o té už jsem psal a zpracování vkusné (především nahé scény). Nadprůměrný korejský kraťas mě zaujal. Námět bych spíše volil z jiného soudku (např. básník a čtenář), neboť i když třeba jednou bude dosaženo rovnosti mužů co mají rádi muže s majoritou, tak na školství se bude vždy pohlížet jinak, a to i v zemích, kde je LGBTQ+ komunita uznávána (milostné vztahy mezi vyučujícími a žáky), ať už to budou vztahy hetero či jiné. Přes některé nadšené reakce na netu se tentokráte shodnu s ŠK, že i mě tam chyběla větší hloubka, herci sympoši, především urostlý Jae Hyun, ale jen tak trochu odříkané.

I already know Rex Lantan from other Pinoy projects. In terms of story, I value the series with adult themes the most, it's short, it doesn't run away, of course you can tell the Pinoy processing. Definitely above average by Philippine standards.

Rexe Lantana znám už i z jiných pinoy projektů. Tady s andělskou tváří, i když už dávno není náctiletým, ztvárňuje Kika, který už za svůj mladý život toho hodně zakusil, ale tělíčkem málo vysportovaným byl zastíněn Viktorem Sy (postava Marka), vypadajícím na svůj věk skvěle a celý projekt zaměřený na mladého maséra z hlediska fyzična (nechtěně) "ukradl", tedy alespoň pro mě. Příběhově si seriálku cením nejvíce s tématy dospěláků, je to krátké, neodbíhá to, samozřejmě je znát pinoy zpracování. Rozhodně na filipínské poměry nadprůměr.

V každém vztahu jsou i mráčky, pokud mraky, je to na pováženou. Všechno jednou končí. Dobrý nápad propojení písně, textu a hraného děje.

Nakonec se film rozjel a na to, že je to studentský projekt, tak by strčil do kapsy mnohé nestudentské projekty. Láska je věčná, nemá hranice, čas ani prostor, a to se mi na tomto projektu líbilo nejvíc - poselství přes příběh, který každý vnímavá dušička vstřebá ...

Film na mě zapůsobil hodně otevřeně, civilně, jinak, než jsem zvyklý u pinoy produkce. Hodně mě zaujala (a to se divím), postava Gorgeouse v podání Johna Lapuse. Anglické titulky byly někdy trochu zmatečné a někdy i chyběly.

Kromě mladistvého vzhledu má povadlé tělíčko s pneumatičkou a hlavičku jak meloun. Původně jsem myslel, že i zásluhou Arnolda Reyese v roli fotříka Riche tento miniprojekt nedám, neboť jako heterákovi jsem mu zezačátku nevěřil ani nos mezi očima, když z něj udělali teplouška s růžovou košilkou a župánkem. Ale pak mi to došlo, když jsem už přemítal po zhlédnutí nad seriálem, že vše bylo nadlehčené a podané s filipínskou noblesou a jen jako a nakonec se mi z toho vyloupl nadprůměrný komický pinoy projekt. Ve srovnání s ostatními projekty slabší seriál, který mi zezačátku připadal, že snad nebyl ani thajský, ale laosský (i hereckým obsazením). Postupem se to dalo, oslovil mě především Gawin, souhlasím s Niobou ohledně páru Tin-Toss, ale to, co Toss předvedl v poslední epizodě za "pusinkování", škoda mluvit, u mě by si nezahrál ani tu muchomůrku ... Soon, however, "something" develops that transcends the terms of their mutual relationship. But what surprised me was the music in the second half. I can't understand at all if it was artificially added when watching online or if it is really part of the movie. Absolutely horrifying, horrible, out of place. And on top of that, the actress Renée Gozon played an affected, dismembering character, who kept getting goats out, and the well-known director GA Villafuerte, who is already dead, flashes there.

Film měl velký potenciál, který byl dle mě zčásti nevyužit. Obě hlavní postavy moc sympatické - herecký téměř nováček Albert Goza (Gerry) a mě známý z několika filmů i zde uvedených Miko Pasamonte (Paolo). Oba už mají za sebou leccos a uzavírají "divný" vztah bez citových vazeb, aby se vzájemně připravili na to, až každý z nich potká toho svého Pana Pravého. Brzy se však vyvine "něco", co překročí podmínky jejich vzájemného vztahu. Co mě ale zarazilo, byla v druhé půli hudba. Vůbec to nemůžu pochopit, jestli při online sledování tam byla přidána uměle a nebo to je vážně součást filmu. Naprosto děsivé, příšerné, nehodící se. A k tomu herečka Renée Gozon tam hrála afektovanou pitvořící se postavu, které neustále lezly ven kozy a mihne se tam i nám známý režisér GA Villafuerte, který už je po smrti.

Samozřejmě jsem nevěděl nic o Festivalu Panagbenga v Baguiu, jež byl v posledních letech poškozen pandemií covid, kdy plošná opatření proti šíření viru jsou mnohdy daleko tvrdší, jak v Evropě, takže jsem se obohatil o tento poznatek. Joeffrey Javier je můj oblíbenec z filmu Hinala. Druhý z hlavních hrdinů Kenjie Garcia se mi zde líbil mnohem víc, jak v dle mě méně podařeném snímku Kambyo. Záběry z festivalu, příběh smutný, žárlivost a břímě, že Ili má i přítelkyni, "erotické" scény někdy úsměvné, to vše je ale pro mě ve srovnání s množinou pinoy filmů minulých let nadprůměrné ...

Celou dobu jsem čekal, že mě to chytne, kdy se vyrojilo pár postarších herců s křivými zuby, ale ne ... Byl to styl pro mě nezajímavý, komediálnost strojená, ale přes hezkou tvářičku Daniela Wu jsem se dobral konce, který bych si představoval stejně jako recenzent přede mnou. Český dabing snaživý, ale jak už jsem zvyklý na ty asijké jazyky, připadalo mi to nesourodé, tento film si už asi nikdy nepustím, omlouvám se tvůrcům.
