i wonder how they're going to manage to fit so much into 10 episodes unless they're intending multiple seasons... kinda sad that there doesn't seem to be any mention of kaufman appearing, he was one of my favs in the series. i absolutely couldn't stand rashta though (i know i'm not the only one haha), props to LSY for taking on the role though i just hope people do not give the actress herself hate over it.
I think the series makes a lot of mistakes by making almost every game playable in alliances. It takes away from…
agreed! i really liked the contestants this season and don't doubt that the top 5 deserved to be there but (despite a few minor switchups) the constant "oh these people are just going to play together" was just starting to get tiring. i wish there were more games that forced them to shine individually outside of the prison matches. i also feel like there were not as many "hidden" secrets/games as i'd have liked unlike s1 although the ones they did have were excellent.
up until last week (ep9) and even first half of ep 10 i was fully invested but as soon as they brought out the…
i was especially sad and upset for eunyu and 7high. both were such strong contestants and i would've like to see one of them in the final, especially eunyu. i was not the most fond of 7high initially but i grew to really like how he approached things, it seemed like he was one of the most adaptable players who knew how to make a good balance of team playing and solo playing. it was just so clearly split with the ranks from the start and remained that way with little shifting, unlike the first season where the winner had his fair share of time going through hardships among the lower ranks and in prison, which made me root for him even more and be glad that he won in the end.
up until last week (ep9) and even first half of ep 10 i was fully invested but as soon as they brought out the semifinal game it was so frustrating how easily rigged it could be with an alliance just by repeatedly one person making a silly bet and another calling it out and then flipping it around. if it's semi-final it should be every person for themselves with little to no way to form alliances to manipulate the outcome etc to make it entirely fair. like come on now... it just got so annoyingly predictable from there.
whew that end for ep9... so intense... i think my bet is on one of the three remaining women (all are so strong in their own ways), hyun gyu or 7high to win but i've been unexpectedly surprised by how well hyunjoon has done so far as well. it's really anyone's game at this point, so many good players have gone.
so shocked to see sedol gone so early on, really thought he'd end up as one of the finalists he was so good. likewise with harin, though the poker game was so intense, everyone did so well.
hyun gyu is my fav so far (rooting for him to win) but i've grown to love the prison contestants too as the prison games really makes you root for them... i really want to know what that underground game was though
Sorry to disappoint you but his acting is not his strong point
agreed, as a fan of the og series and yjh being my fav chara i was beyond disappointed by the casting news. both appearance and acting wise it is not giving.
This season was so dry and ruined a lot of things actually. I hope they go back to their previous show format.…
totally agreed. there's barely any content of them in inferno doing the cooking, fetching water together which allowed for those natural connections to form more easily. i feel like it's just back to back paradise interactions... and barely any tensions caused by new arrivals.
i also don't have any ill feelings towards si an. while i definitely agree that screentime has been distributed so unevenly and it makes things super repetitive / doesn't give the others enough time to shine, i don't mind her as a person at all and don't really get the hate train saying she's a bad person etc. for me it's easy to empathise with them having to form attachments so quickly in a controlled environment and just with how things have panned out it's just been back to back paradise dates for her. of course girly is gonna be drawn towards whoever she's most recently interacted with most and it shows in this ep with her convo with theo since it had been a while since their last proper talks bc she's always whisked off to paradise. i think people have been a little too harsh towards her.
glad they're starting to become more and more aware jeongsu is just a sweet talker who only confuses people who show him interest. dongho and arin are the only pair i feel are truly meant to be... i gasped when it was revealed they were from the same neighbourhood too. i was not aware of junseo's game but good for him. at this point he and si an have most chemistry surprisingly esp seeing that she's least guarded around him (from theo's side it always feels too onesided for him so i feel bad, he deserves better), though from that preview i am not sure that will even work.
i was rooting for them to pick ki ha to join as the new guy especially as he seemed to vibe with the girls who haven't had much luck so far... instead we got yet another addition to sian's harem as he's not giving anything beyond that. she should just stick to theo, the flower ring moment was soooo sweet. jeongsu keeps giving me the ick more and more.
why did they have to ruin this drama at the very last moment... i've been slowly making my way through it and then heard the news about the propaganda they threw in during the final ep. don't even think i want to finish it now, ugh... i'm so immensely disappointed. it was doing so well until this.
he actually annoyed me way more than thanos did lmao
agreed, the actor did amazing. totally just made me go from just mild irration to full blown "someone better get his ass right now" after he murdered se mi
i don't get the motivations of the boat captain at all, like did he not actually save junho or what? why aid him in the first place then when he could've left him to die and put a stop to any investigations happening at all? that whole "betrayal" felt so out of the blue lmao.
