pretty pleased that the top 4 (minus turkiye sadly, loved recep and yasmine especially, but everyone else did amazing and deserved tbh) ended with my main contenders to win. hoping for either a mongolia vs korea / japan vs korea / mongolia vs japan finale!
the AU guy was throwing it way far so the Justin from PH wasted a lot of his energy and time retrieving the ball.…
yes he still did amazing despite having to run for the ball, all three did to go for over 100 rounds. especially after they increased the weight and reduced the timer.
so glad amotti managed to pull through for korea i was so stressed for them, i knew my guy would have the tenacity to nail it in the end. everyone did amazing to last so many rounds though, i feel like philippines got unlucky with their placement being after australia in the throwing order too.
i agree, i also question his decisions and strategy sometimes with the direction he led the team in. like aside…
i definitely think they should've let amotti do the hurdles as it's a circuit and he's got his crossfit background. i do think sungbin would be better at the ball toss game considering his strengths in s1 but don't know if it would have been better for them to have donghyun do it instead as he is likely slower than those two overall and the ball toss is more strength/endurance over speed, plus they emphasised more importance on the relay scores. too late for them to change it though now sadly.
KDH overestimates himself so much its pissing me off. he’s not as fast as he thinks he is. also why is nb talking…
i agree, i also question his decisions and strategy sometimes with the direction he led the team in. like aside from this week's eps, imo for the shipwreck challenge they pulled ahead into overall 1st place bc of sungbin and amotti being adaptable and switching tactics whenever they needed it instead of only sticking to the plan kdh stated. i feel like one of those two or eunsil are better suited as a strategist/leader figure even if he's the most senior one of the team.
i hope so bc i want to believe amotti will pull through lmao... though i feel like they lost out by not really choosing the optimal matchups for each challenge, like imo sungbin would've been better suited for the ball toss and amotti on the circuit race due to his crossfit background.
i thought that too, especially since amotti's background is in crossfit so circuits should be more of a breeze for him and sungbin has the strength and stamina esp thinking back to the challenges he smashed in s1.
i really hope they don't have to exit so early on because i'd love to see them face off against japan or turkiye again... sungbin, amotti and eunsil esp are such a joy to watch as they were favourites from prev seasons. i hope amotti's tenacity helps him like it did for the s2 finale.
the main variable is we have no real clue what to expect from the new philippines team member since we haven't seen him in previous challenges but he did seem to be at a disadvantage having to run every time the aussie guy lobbed the ball too. it'll be a close call i think.
I feel bad for Indonesia. I think their team selection for them should’ve been better, the model could’ve…
i did think that too when watching him being carried off in all the neverending korea vs japan matchups like he was nothing haha... but i think part of that was also just sungbin being sungbin since he's always just been an absolute machine lmao
Team Australia might lack a bit of humility 😂😂 BUT they have great teamwork. Their support for each other…
right the teamwork is the thing i can commend them on. i'm kinda just like "yes you're skilled, i'd root for you too if it weren't for the way you seem to always look down on your opponents and assume every game is an easy win off the bat" lmao... i was hoping some of the individual match ups would knock them down a peg. i did admire alex's tenacity in the team hanging game though, if i had to pick a fav of their team it'd be her 100%.
super sad to see thailand leave! james especially was such a blast to watch, i loved his sass and the fact that he had the strength, teamwork and strategy to match his loud personality.
100% agree. They’re strong & confidence is a good thing but they went beyond that to the level of arrogance.…
i also agree as someone who is uk-based but chinese ethnically. confidence and knowing you have the strength and skill to match up is one thing but having the respect for your opponents to match it is what makes a likeable contestant in shows like this... which is what made me root for amotti, sungbin and eunsil in the previous seasons. i wonder if it's a mix of the cultural difference and because they're not really used to team sports... but then again so many of the other contestants are swimmers, crossfitters, martial artists, etc which are solo sports. it's no excuse, really.
I hope Australia lose the competition, they're too cocky for a team that's not even from Asia smh
absolutely agree. they were way too overconfident from the offset so i loved seeing them get humbled by türkiye in the first round. but then the game against japan was just foul sportsmanship even if it wasn't against the rules as such, they were the only team to even consider stealing the opposing team's crates (also thoroughly enjoyed seeing the korean team beat them overall by that 20kg, which they got without needing to resort to underhand tactics lmao). i fr have players that i'm really rooting for from each team except theirs.
looking forward to seeing previous contestants again, especially sungbin and amotti. also def intrigued about team philippines because of manny pacquiao
still wondering why australia is here lmao... same energy as them joining eurovision while not being part of europe and now physical: asia without being part of asia 😭
the main variable is we have no real clue what to expect from the new philippines team member since we haven't seen him in previous challenges but he did seem to be at a disadvantage having to run every time the aussie guy lobbed the ball too. it'll be a close call i think.
