ever since Dex, I-Geon is the first that has the potential to become popular in korean mainstream media after…
i agree, i think he'd be fun on variety projects for sure. i really want him to at least get more drama projects, i love seeing him on screen honestly he's so charming to watch... i actually watched the trunk while waiting for more eps of this to release since it was on my to watch list due to gong yoo being in it and me enjoying the mystery genre but he seriously impressed me in it too as the first acting project i've seen of him.
i was so speechless like the panelists omg... i still can't believe my top 3 guys all ended up alone at the end (igeon, hyunjae, hyunwoo) even if the latter two i kinda saw coming a mile away because of how their respective love interests were clearly more attached to other people but man... well, igeon... i'm single too (lmaooo)! but on a serious note i'll be anticipating his future projects and hope that he at least gets more opportunities after this. i very much enjoyed watching him in "the trunk".
overall, this has been my fav season so far i think, even if my curse of being disappointed at the outcome at the end continues haha... up until the end i thought "this is going too smoothly to be true" and my gut feeling was right but overall i'm pleased with the outcome despite my reservations of sungmin so long as they're happy.
he got so much more attractive the more you watch him honestly. i love the back and forth banter he has with goeun, their chemistry is just so natural and easy.
gonna start with saying i love goeun and i'm so happy she's getting her well-deserved attention.
however, sungmin continues to piss me off so bad and like the panelists i also struggled to see what she sees in him... his attitude stinks and he's so sure of himself all the time. his behaviours are so rude and ungentlemanly too like i get that it's a competition but he takes it to a whole new level whereas all the others are competitive yes but know boundaries too. first red flag was how he just walked up and inserted himself into that convo she had in earlier eps with hyunwoo. and then this week, he kept goeun on that rooftop for hours and refused to leave even when igeon patiently waited all that time before joining them only after noticing it getting dark. i eventually cheered when goeun spoke up and made the comment about going to get ice cream NOT with him, that was almost as satisfying as seeing him get dunked TWICE. he's so uncomfortably cagey and possessive constantly hovering over her shoulder 24/7 and not giving her space at all... i hate the way he speaks to her like "oh they're going to steal you away, you're going to leave me" feels so guilt trippy and makes her seem like a prize or object to him rather than a partner, like how fitting that you're in red bc you're a collection of red flags... goeun please free yourself i beg! if he's like this even before being someone's bf then i only worry for them when it gets to that point.
i was initially rooting for hyunwoo since he was one of my initial favs and he's a sweetheart still but their paradise date was so awkward and uncomfortable. i think it was part nerves and he laid it on waaaay too much. i just don't think they're compatible unfortunately unless he redeems himself somehow by some miracle.
finally with igeon... i said that they have the best chemistry for paradise dates so far honestly. and it's such a natural and comfortable chemistry too, like their deep convos are so entertaining and don't feel forced at all. i find his bluntness when he speaks and dedication (like in the tug of war challenge) really charming and endearing. when they got ice cream together the water moment was so unexpectedly funny and sweet too. they're both very well matched. hopefully things work out regardless of who (if anyone) goeun chooses though! i'm just really hoping for her sake that it just is NOT sungmin.
was rooting for Yejin and Igeon after their first conversation, but everything went downhill after that.
i feel it was hard to match up to the chemistry he had with goeun in comparison... and even though he did continue to get to know yejin and tried to flirt with her back when they returned to inferno, i agree with his assessment that there was just nothing there romantically as their energies didn't match. not sure if she just lacked confidence and was feeling down (which i kinda feel bad for her about) but she definitely fumbled that conversation if she was actually interested in getting to know him at all. the couple game they did was also a perfect opportunity to get closer too.
I'm so happy go eun is getting popular, liked her from the the beginning. I'm really curious who she will go to…
totally rooting for hyunwoo but i can't be sure... if not him, i can't deny that she had great chemistry with igeon too (honestly the only paradise date so far i felt that actual sparks were there) but ahhh, i can't help but want hyunwoo to finally have his moment
i can't help but continue to root for hyunwoo and glad to be fond of him from the start. he's so sweet and it's adorable how smitten he is. his shy awkwardness coming through is also endearing even if it kinda doesn't do him favours sometimes. i'm conflicted though bc i love goeun too but i somehow feel that she feels more strongly towards igeon as their chemistry was kinda undeniable and they look great together too. i hope she will at least decide on one of those two and ditch sungmin honestly. again i just don't vibe with him and the way he'd pushed hyunwoo aside that one time still didn't sit right. like come on man, you've already had a paradise date with her.
i'm still so curious about hyunwoo's occupation and age, as well as hyunjae due to his language skills. same with samuel.
I think the issue with Mina Sue is that she’s far too honest for her own good. You don’t need to voice every…
that and her double standards with wanting the guys to only focus on her while she's juggling 4 at once and sulking when it backfires... she's far too petty towards the other girls which comes across badly as well, such as being constantly jealous of mingee and then haeun immediately after hyunwoo mentioned her. that one mention and then she decided to "like him" and start getting his attention only as a competition to "prove" she wasn't like haeun at all. so incredibly childish and inconsiderate of everyone around her.
kinda tired of so much of the eps being mina sue throwing herself a pity party like girl... let poor hyunwoo go too man, he doesn't deserve this. i can already feel goeun drifting towards igeon as their chemistry was crazy tbh, as the panelists said, first paradise date where i could genuinely notice the sparks fly, they seem well-suited and both are so attractive. i also feel so bad for heesun as i kinda feel like she's being used as a rebound right now, since subin knows for sure that she has no eyes for anyone else.
ep 5 thoughts. that clip of mingee and hyunwoo running together... i may be biased as they're my two favs in there currently, but why do i kinda want those two to jump ship together lmao they look so good as a pair. he's so endearing when he's smitten. i love goeun but i fear she's swayed by the new guy now following the date...
If you utter Mina's name in her presence or even talk about her, you're definitely getting on her target list🤣…
her hypocrisy in the convo with subin was crazy too, i'm so glad the panelists called her out on that. like she wants to juggle 4 guys but he can't speak to heesun?
i've been saying from the start hyunwoo deserves so much better man sungmin gave me such bad vibes from the start (i couldn't place why initially, it was just gut feeling from his attitude and how he thinks his "cute" vibe lets him get away with anything) and that part just confirmed it.
overall enjoying it so far and wanting to see how it plays out but i do have my gripes. the whole love triangle trope feels so unnecessary especially if it wasn't part of the original and i agree about the styling being questionable.
no spoilers please (i'm only up to ep2 as i wanted to wait for more eps to come out first) but is it continuing down a good route re: pacing, development, etc? also really hoping that they wrap the ending up well next week too.
Mina.......I dont understand about your feelings?? you switch so easily? If it were me I would same person no…
i understand keeping options open and not locking in so quickly due to how there's always new people entering and it seems to be a disadvantage to sticking only to one person as the other person can easily switch up (i.e. "we can both get to know other people by chatting to them more to see if there's any potential there and then come back to each other to discuss" sense like people have done in prev seasons). but girl is taking things to a whole new level by speedrunning through everyone and telling different guys that she likes them most / wants to go with them to paradise. it's not a good look.
I'm going to put it out there....I want Min-gee & Su-been on a date to Paradise. Both need to get away from…
maybe those two are better off for each other now (mina sue and seungil)... even though from the looks of it mina sue will be jumping ship to the new guy next ep anyway lol
