seconded, i really would hate for her to feel like she has to raise the child out of obligation now that the news is out. i was already not a fan of how it seemed like he was guilting her into keeping the baby and although he is technically taking on dal's advice to respect her choice the way he's still bringing up how he wants a family and taking on all these jobs to prove himself to her is still influencing her existing guilt, even if the intentions aren't bad. both are young. they have plenty time to figure things out and try a PLANNED pregnancy later on in life once they're more settled and in a stable financial and emotional situation, if they decide to stay together.

did NOT expect dal to straight up confess like that in front of the whole family (in all fairness he did try to at the hospital haha) after vaulting over the wall hahaha... you can tell he's so down bad for her to do that and i'm glad he's realised it. and that yeonsu has her answer definitively too that it isn't just purely physical to him.
i'm a little conflicted about the whole plotline with the younger brother and his gf... like i appreciate him going out of his way to care for her and taking on jobs, etc but don't really like that he's also in a sense guilt tripping her to give up on her dreams too. it's clearly not the right time for her and if she wants to go through with the abortion she should just do it (esp as it's more effective the earlier on it's done) and they continue the relationship they can try a planned pregnancy at a later date. just my opinion.

it's truly too hard to tell right now at this point considering how the episode ended kinda ambiguously, but presuming they just continue straight off from the making out... in my opinion, it'd be incredibly important for them to include a conversation with him checking in and getting a definitive ok from her before/if they continue further (knowing that it's her first time too). it'd be a real disappointment and feel against the show's message if they did not include one. i also trust that dal is fully committed to ensuring her comfort (especially given his current downbadness and knowing how big of a step it is for her to commit to sex) to make it as ideal and enjoyable for yeonsu too.

exactly. the whole learning point was that yeonsu needed to realise that matching well on paper in terms of shared mindsets on love/marriage and interests doesn't always mean it'll work out dating wise, esp if there is no underlying chemistry or romantic feelings. she agreed bc on paper, she should date a guy like that bc that's how she was raised but her attraction is already solely focused on dal.

true! aside from the obvious with the kiss and the longing glances (which kjy nails tbh) he's always been looking out for her in subtle ways even without realising it (like getting the caravan lady to make sure she got home safely, stepping in that time with the asshole ex/checking in on her after their confrontation and buying her fav snack food)... such a considerable step from when he wouldn't even look her in the eye initially. this man is down bad...
i had the same thought too but then as the episodes progressed i think it was important for yeonsu to experience that compatibility on paper doesn't mean it'll work out as a relationship and come to that realisation herself. she's lived her life until now being shaped by her family's ideals on the "ideal guy" being someone who shares her values on love and marriage so she thinks it's the right thing to agree off that basis, even if there's no chemistry or feelings of romance there.

re: dal's perspective, i feel like from the hints we have so far of his background, due to how his father jumps from wife to wife he's so used to shutting things down before they progress romantically and hasn't really even considered sharing his interests/hobbies for that reason so there's possible trauma there. i believe they still have time to explore and work through things further though, i have hope. it would be nice to have another 2-4 eps to properly flesh things out, i was sad to hear it's only a 10 ep series.

i do appreciate the opposites attract angle (and the chemistry and longing glances is definitely there too) being contrasted next to the type of "ideal, similar values family orientated guy" where, as she says, is silly to turn down but there just isn't that "spark".
whereas re:shared connections, i do believe in the shared "softer" moments together with our main couple, like her growing up in a loving family despite their more humble background and you can kind of see the bittersweetness in it in how dal reacts to hearing about yeonsu's fond memories of her father given how his own father was neglectful and kinda sparked his trauma about the dark. i do like the fact that he's ended up becoming this kind of older brother figure to namsu as well.
i see it more as them complimenting and balancing each other overall and working through their differences, since the main message seems to be that everyone loves differently but it's whether you're compatible and can communicate and work through it together / compromise if needed that can make a relationship flourish. they're both learning through each other, even if it takes time.
