Do you have any recommendations for dramas's with simular dynamics between ML and FL?
I really like the way FL isnt scared to act according to her feelings, does the chasing, take first steps in relationship and be so assertive. It's a good change imo.
Can someone tell me around what episode will they start to show present time? And will there be later back and forth type of the plot or it's just present time?
Why are people commenting that this drama is only good for laughs and that it is lighthearted?
It has funny moments, but it never was lighthearted. Imo, it was actually pretty scary bc it shows what kind of things people are ready to do out of the grid and jealousy. And in order to save their image.
Why are people recommending Hospital playlist? I doubt that OP would like it and that it's a drama she is looking for. It is nice drama, but not really for binge-watching (at least for me). There isnt a lot of "drive" which will make you binge it.

My best friend rewatches dramas she loves every year. She has winter, spring, summer and fall dramas and just rewatches them during those seasons. Lol She doesnt like most of new dramas, so she is rewatching for 3+ times the once she likes. We got into Kdramas a long time ago, around 2007-2009. We dont really like the new once, there is just no that "feeling" anymore. I can still find something I like, I am mostly into wuxia and Chinese dramas nowdays. But she is mostly just dropping everything and ending rewatching old dramas.

I think that acting was good (actor's who played Shuyu and Hao Du probably were the worst, but even they were ok). I will be completelly honest and say that actors who played ML and "Little Princess" totally blew me away with their acting. They are amazing and outshined everyone else imo! But actress who play FL is good too, she acted very good. I just was amazed by those 2.

Drama is very addicting and it is good. I binge watched it actually. But I still dont think that plot and FL are worth so much prises. There is actually a lot of plot holes/unbelievable moments and FL is nth better than most other "strong FLs".
I just finished it. FL got better in second half of drama. But as I said, imo nth better than other strong FLs.
The good part, worth prise is the parallel between Changge's and Khatun's characters. 1 got too much into revenge and greed and became insane and crazy from it while other got saved by good people from such fate and developed into someone who cares about people and peace.

Bc of her stubbornness, she ends up being stupid and as a bitch all the time! She doesnt care about anything, but herself and her ideas. She is not realistic and doesnt have a bigger view of things most of the time. She isnt strong or smart. I mean, she has moments, but as I said she messes it every time with stubborness and ends as stupid and selfish 80% of the time. Maybe she will have character development in the second half of drama, I hope so.... I am on 25th episode and she is getting more and more annoying with every episode! In 24th ep, I wanted to break something bc of her..... I am still watching bc of ML and the rest of characters. FL is the worst character in it for now.

You should try "1 liter of tears" if you didnt watch it yet. They arent neglected and abused, but there is very intense and strong bond during hard times. "Tree of heaven" suits it, I think. But drama is pretty weird. Maybe even "Gank your heart", but it's lighter a lot. The main couple gives a lot of strength and support to each other. They both have hard times in career during which they help each other. Edit: "Run on"! It is lighter too. The whole drama is about neglected people (neglected in the different ways) helping each other.
Am I the only 1 who saw that Bright is having a hair loss? He has pretty bad bald spot at the top of head and the section of hair is also very visible. I hope that he takes care of himself and that it will get better with time. He is young, so there is probably some reason for it.
It seems that this version will be a little different compare to others. A lot of things already happened. I think that the first 5, 6 episodes are about bullying in the other versions???? Also, second couple meet only later, near end (I think?????)..

My favorite version is Meteor garden, especially old version (2018's is good too). I love everything about it. Actors are great and the F4 friendship is so good! Also, Shancai's dynamic with all of them is well-done too. This version lacks, for now, a little in acting and friendship development. Honestly, I feel like only Kavin and M.J. are close. I dont feel any connection between other guys.
