One the things I love about this drama are all the mentions of food AND recipes. If any of you happen to come across a site that features the food from each episode, please share. I've searched, but have not yet seen anything. I may end up putting one together myself. I just made the spicy chicken and potato dish from one of the epis (trying to find out which one) and it turned out so good!
Eroor 404: Empathy not found.Maybe you start to think about how bad people must feel, if they think suicide is…
Sometimes being in extreme pain and feeling like you're a burden to those around you trumps/outweighs logical thinking. The public and especially the aggressive press harassed him and his family relentlessly, they had to send their children overseas to boarding school.
One moment, you're placed on a pedestal for your talent and accomplishments and next you're dragged down to hell w/papz camping outside your house, the authorities making things difficult for you as well as those around you, and people that don't know the whole story criticizing and tearing you apart. Not everyone has the mental fortitude to withstand it all and end up thinking the world would be better off without them.
This goes beyond cancel culture and falls under dehumanizing and basically destroying someone mentally and physically. We can say, think and feel whatever, but we're not in their shoes and don't know everything that they're going through and even if we did our choices are influenced by our upbringing, culture, religion, and those that are in our lives that we cannot and should not compare.
Oooh good catch! I adore sokp cast so that's a big yay!!!
I guess they're still building the cast list, but this guy is also in "Only For Love" ML's assistant AND in "Story of Kunning Palace" as one of the princes. He attended the booting ceremony. https://kisskh.at/people/122359-liu-ming-hao
Will ML ever confront peacock lady for punishing AY without him knowing? I mean AY eventually dies, he cannot…
Did you see the teaser for epi 26? Unsure of the peacock lady, but it shows ML confront fake fox demon aunt and finds out she's the mastermind behind framing A Yin (for a bigger incident) which led to her death. Everyone learns of the villain/devil, Qing Lin, inhabiting the aunt's body at that point.
I spot another SoKP character, Xie Wei's guard (Jian Shu/剑书), filming in this one. He's the one with the long red hair in the clip where BaiLu, Ruipeng, and him are spinning/dancing around. He doesn't seem to have an MDL profile. His name is Zhang Xun Lang (张珹朗). https://weibo.com/n/%E5%BC%A0%E7%8F%B9%E6%9C%97?tabtype=album
Looking at the cast list, I see little Lester (from My Journey to You) and his name is Ning Shi San.. Does anyone know his role? Please don't tell me Ning & Ruyi named their son after Yu Shi San... I'm only up to episode 21. I hope we don't lose any of the team and we get a happy ending..
I loved this drama so much more than the webnovel. Not for its intricate plot (cause there wasn't one), but that it was simple and fun. Enjoyed seeing these two leads that are good friends work together and improve on a story that was lacking and full of tropes. Felt like this one was a palate cleanser and look forward to seeing them all again in their future projects.
Thank you! I don't remember that, but saw the ex's face looked like it had been beaten in some of the uploaded previews. Wondered who did it and it was who I expected. ..had to rewatch it 3x.
It's been so long since I read the webnovel. Can someone please tell me if the scummy ex was actually beaten by Uncle Fan in the book, because I just died laughing at that scene, but don't remember it being in the book?
I actually enjoyed "Story of Kunning Palace" and it was partially due to Zhou Jun Wei's portrayal of Yan Lin. I also appreciated his emceeing/managing the live for SoKP last year. He kept it interesting and on-track. Wishing him lots of success and happiness now and in his future endeavors.
