it's been 3 months since i watched this masterpiece and it still lingers...the things i would do to start from the beginning without knowing anything <3
I believe it's because of the e-sports controversy. I have heard that the love story in this series, is inspired…
oh i remember seeing comments about it on weibo...i thought it was just hate over inaccurate portrayal but it makes sense that people were unhappy if it was based on a real story. thanks for explaining!
OHMYGODDDDDD WE FINALLY GOT AN OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE ??????????????????????????? IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SINCE WHEN MY QUARANTINE STARTED LAST APRIL A WHOLE YEAR AND A HALF MY HAPPINESS IS THROUGH THE ROOF RIGHT NOW
not sure if this is unpopular but this is the only kdrama other than lovestruck in the city to me where the couple dynamic truly looks so intimate and real and comfortable together...their chemistry as well as tension is mindblowing and cinematography is beautiful that i can ignore plot/character flaws, instead just getting engrossed in each episode for fun (also pain lol)
i have a crazy feeling that this might reach a "goblin" level of popularity if the plot is done well despite being a mon-tues drama...especially with the contemporary fantasy and humor elements, plus like others have said such great leads and a star-studded ost lineup <3 hoping it doesn't disappoint!
as much as i anticipate the coming episodes i hope the cast and prod crew are taking care of their healths, 7 months is a short time to film 20 eps that are 1.5 hrs each esp with covid restrictions, and it seems they're filming even longer hours now :(
does anyone know why this had such low viewership ratings while on air? even tho it was on netflix at the same time, it seems like the sat-sun timeslot usually guarantees popularity?
im interested in this drama because of its themes and the main leads chemistry but the episodes are just so long...i stopped at ep 3. is it worth continuing? maybe its bc they're still giving plot context in the early eps?
edit: i continued again and it's so good!! if anyone is in the same position as me, everything picks up after ep 3 so give it another shot :)
i haven't watched this yet but the reception for this series has really convinced me to! cnetz are usually cruel when it comes to rating (since i can read the comments haha) and lower than mdl but its similar this time, plus there are a lots of good things said on douban :)
i saw online somewhere that this kdrama has one of the highest budgets so im excited!! does anyone know if they went to film in italy during covid? i would assume all the extra safety precautions would add to costs if so
just started ep 1 bc i read the manhwa and even though it's cringey and cheesy, it's also lighthearted and cute. never thought this was exactly what i needed to destress from exams and schoolwork!
