I actually think the opposite, as a romance fan I feel that too many shows become less interesting once the characters…
I agree with your evaluation of past series, but that's an issue of bad writing, not a problem with people being in relationships. I start to lose interest in series when it's artificially dragged out too long. I don't feel that way about this series because it's well-written and brilliantly acted, and I get something new from each episode. Either way, it's always about good writing, acting, and direction, which is too rare in BL.
I don't think modern Wad was the reincarnation of the other Wad, Vee was. All the signs and portents pointed to…
He stole the stone to save his beloved grandmother, from someone he didn't know well yet and was awful to him.
It's easier to be generous and correct about everything if you have no material needs. If you're struggling day and night to pay for your grandmother's care, you are going to look at the world differently than someone who has always had everything handed to her and never had any needs.
It doesn't seem like you like Vee, so I doubt I can change your mind, but it makes me wonder why you stuck with the show if you were cheering on the villain instead of the protagonist. There's nothing wrong with watching it, but I would think it would be too tiresome in that case. I barely made it through the last two episodes, and then only with liberal use of the +10 seconds button.
The stone did seem to respond to both Vee and Wad, but the goddess didn't cry when Vee came on the scene, but she did when Wad did.

i m surprised by the amount of people comparing this to ifylita cuz the storyline and production of ifylita was…
It doesn't have much in common with IFYLitA other than the period connection - it's not the same time period of the past, and it's a much shallower story with a much lower budget.
But at least this series had a plot and they cast people who can act, unlike most Thai BLs.
I would have liked a final little clarification that Wee was Wad but I think he had her soul personally.Good series,…
I agree - some of that went on waaaaayyy to long. I agree with who was the reincarnation of Wad - I think it was left a little muddied because the theme of the story was that clinging to the past never has a good end.
Unpopular opinion: But I literally hated how they turn Wadfah into a bad person. They could've literally went…
I don't think modern Wad was the reincarnation of the other Wad, Vee was. All the signs and portents pointed to him. The only reason they left it muddied is to fit the theme of the pointlessness of clinging to the past, which only causes suffering.
Wad wasn't so much villainous as selfish and bumbling. And I don't see how Vee is a slap in the face to the original Wad - he's not an aristocrat from 100 years ago, but he was very much willing to sacrifice whatever he needed to for his loved ones - but he grew up in poverty with no parents, so you can't expect the same level of material generosity as a rich girl.
Two things…1) how is it that San has offspring when he clearly said in one of the early episodes he couldn’t…
Everyone calls each other "brother", but they're not really brothers. San doesn't have offspring - just extended family. His "grandchildren" are likely descendants of say, his sister or something. "Grandfather" is respectful address acknowledging his age and that he's the head of the family.
In most cultures you address an older person as either "big brother" if fairly close in age or "uncle" if there's a larger gap.
True story: I was with my cousin in Turkey - we were sitting in a car waiting and a Roma kid came up to the window to beg - she was around 30, and he addressed her as "auntie" - with a horrified gasp from her the kid realized he'd made a terrible mistake and quickly corrected "I mean, big stster! BIg sister!" Her response was "Ttoo late! Get out!"
it was the most realistic sex scene in the history of entrainment industry. what are you talking about???
The hyper-romanticized "sex" we normally get isn't better - at least in this case there was physical passion. I didn't say it was a bad scene, I said Korn is bad at sex.

Maybe it would have been for two 14-year old boys, but not adults. If that was the most realistic sex scene you've ever seen, I don't know what to tell you.
Also, I didn't say it was not realistic, I said Korn was bad at sex. He was so bad at it that I'm not sure if it was on purpose or not.
Korn is terrible at sex. He didn't last 20 seconds. And it looked like he was trying to castrate his bf - good lord! He must have severe friction burns.
I thought Ep 1 was boring, but I think I watched the "sultrier" version, which had a long scene between side characters I know nothing about and didn't care about. And the sex made me really uncomfortable to watch.
I like Bible and Jes in this - when they're onscreen this is engaging. They just aren't on screen enough. Sammon seems to like stories with time distortion and doctors.
OK, now there's a f@#$ing dog. Fortunately just for 10 seconds instead of being the center of the plot.
I really like James, Tim, and Jericho, but this is really boring. I end up skipping most of it, or having to take breaks. What is it about? If it's a long commercial for the Zamboanga tourism board, then congratulations to Xion Lim, but otherwise this has almost no energy. I much prefer Lim's new obsession with horses over those awful dogs - at least a man can look sexy riding a horse.
The acting in this is wonderful and subtle, from everyone. Ep 7 was great, but Ep 8 somewhat less so - it depended a bit on completely stupid villains and not very well choreographed action scenes - they were unintentionally funny, like when they all ran away and nobody thought to do anything about it despite having guns pointed at them.
The writing is otherwise good - they've tried something different, and the plot (other than villain stupidity) makes sense - the doctor and even Ton were not just throwaway characters, they had roles to play that were properly set up.
If they had just made the villains less cartoonish this could have been 1st rate. But it's still better than all the recent GMMTV BLs combined.
OMG. I knew Offroad's smile is a '10', but Daou's is so beautiful it made me cry a little - the vulnerability in it when they were doing the perfume...
I think it's clear Vee is Wad. It doesn't matter if someone else has the name - all the signs, portents, and dreams point only to Vee. So don't worry. 1000% Vee is Wad.
Other than that one shirt of San's that the murdered a peacock to make, whoever did the wardrobe for this show deserves to be famous. I love all of it - and Vee's period outfits are beautiful.
I don't know if it's just me, but Vee's friend Ton is hotttt.

Kohei's smile is hard to beat, but Taichi's longing looks might be the thing to do it.
I realize Kohei is the one built up to be attractive, but it's all about Taichi for me.
