This is ending chapter?
No - for some reason it says 10 on this site, but there are actually 12 episodes, so two more to go after this.

Oookay... so the story suddenly got interesting and the acting got way better? I'm kinda happy now that I stayed…
The acting has always been good - except Nite I, where I've wondered if he's a carboard cutout on wheels or something - his only decent acting moment was in the kiss scene. This could have been a better show if they'd cast someone better. But Tae has managed to carry it.
Replying to FreshKicks Mar 16, 2021
Is Mr. One-Night-Stand actually Nite in human guise? I'm confused too, obviously .... lol
Tae mentioned he needed rest, so I assume Nite I appearing was a dream. Maybe Nite II is a possible love to replace the impossible love. Nite I is a god, so unless you're allowed to tender your resignation, I'm not sure how that can work.

LOL, I don't know why I keep coming back here. They literally showed us the same scenes a total of 5 times already.…
Maybe this goes under the category of guilty pleasure. I think everyone THINKS they should hate it, but for me there's a quality to it that makes me not only come back for more, but look forward to it. Part of it is probably Tae, who is not a bad actor, and who is to me just beautiful - Nite II is not kidding about his smile, and those lips, that face, and his body...

But there are a few qualities that I think the show has that should be recognized. One is that Tae is openly, unselfconsciously gay. That is rare as f@#$ in a BL. Second, there's not a single toxic female character, and Namwhan is really strong, even the way she handled the Que situation with dignity and grace.

Third, people actually react like people, and mature ones at that. Remember when Tae & Namwhan found out the truth about Que and Bhu? His response was "If I'd known I wouldn't have burdened anyone with unwanted attention" - not some childish self-centered thought.

But it's a pity they didn't cast Nite II as Nite I, because he has 20 times the charm. That would be true even without his looks - warm eyes beat vacant stare any day. I think they picked the other Nite for his body or something.

Also, they need a new editor. Once you get into the rythm of what you should fast-forward through, it saves a lot of time, but if this was a 10-ep show, they should have left it at ten instead of dragging it out. It was nice to see the interaction between Take and Nite II this ep, but it was one, maybe two segments, not four.

What about the office sexual harassment?
Li Chen is in a position of power and is continuing to go after the extremely unwilling Mei Fang. Even asking a subordinate is wildly inappropriate, let along not taking no for an answer.
On Kiss the Night Mar 16, 2021
Based on the comments below, I'll give this a skip. I have to say that there is nothing that bothers me more than the fem-shaming and stereotyping of gay men as predators (most BL main characters are explicitly not gay [or a shade of Q]- happily that's changing. Slowly). A close second is the misogyny - psychotic girlfriend characters who completely hijack the BL romance and chew up an enormous amount of the run time. This is one area where the Thais are pulling ahead. The top tier of Filipino BL is still hard to match, but unfortunately there's a huge volume of substandard work trying to capitalize on the brilliance of the best works.

Stick creature?
OK, that was mean, I shouldn't have said it. But they are dressing him to make him look as skinny as possible - I think they're trying make everyone into yaoi parodies. Or at least I hope it's parodies.

History stories are BL stories so they would have BL themes rather than LGBT stories that are based more off reality.…
If that's true, that would definitely up my interest - I hope you're right.

This series is a waste of obvious talent. You are not covering social issues by having characters that we don't know or care about standing around in a field talking about them in a ham-handed way. You cover issues by showing us within the context of the story. If you're trying to say that you shouldn't judge people for having tattoos, as if anyone does, then don't just have a character say "hey, don't judge people for having tattoos" - have a story where someone is unfairly treated.

If there's another episode like this, I'm dropping the series. I'm here for BL, not a greek chorus standing around stating the obvious. "Hey, rape is bad!" "Don't judge people by their tattoos!"

Nobody listens to your message if it's conscecending and too ham-handed for even young children.

And frankly, if you want to be woke, then how about try NOT having trans characters screeching over attractive boys for JUST ONCE. They weren't even attractive, except Andre.

I think I get what this series is trying to do. It's trying to present a boys' love (BL) story with clear Philippine…
I didn't appreciate the issues covering at all. I don't need to be preached at by characters standing around in a field. That scores no points. If you are going to cover issues, then show, don't tell.

I think the doctor has the right to find out about the relation between Tian and his friend - Torfun, or do some…
But if he finds something, he would have to confront Tian himself, because telling Phupha would be a serious violation of medical ethics and probably illegal. In the USA he would be prosecuted and lose his right to practice medicine.

Nam's right to look into Tian is based solely on their relationship as doctor & patient - he has no right to expose confidential info. But I don't think he would do that because he's a good guy.

I did, don't worry. :)

Can someone tell me if in the novel, does Phupha and Tian end up being together as boyfriends in the end?
No. Tian dies and Phupha commits suicide on his grave, but they end up in separate afterlives.

Come on, have you ever seen a BL before? Of course they'll be together in the end! :)

I don't know this for a fact as I haven't read the novel or spoilers, but they're not going to stray from the formula.

I’m going to scream if they get together only in the last 5 minutes!
It's true - they are good at starting out strong, and equally good at f#$%ing up the endings.

Let's see what happens this next episode - it looks like a lot is going to hit the fan - that leaves some time for resolution. But they are stretching it out a bit.

History stories are BL stories so they would have BL themes rather than LGBT stories that are based more off reality.…
That's true (about the CEO being gay) and it's a good point - they deserve credit for that. But the other two mains are so yaoi that it feels like they just ripped them off the page and threw them onto the screen without translating them to live action characters. To me, the scene were Mu Ren was trying to kick Li Chen off the balcony was a perfect balance and actually made me laugh, but other than that they were too 2D for me. Plus two episodes where there's nothing but pursuit of a woman is too much - we at least need to see hints of the BL to come. We got a little bit of 6-year old-level teasing, but that's it.

I think either they needed to humanize the characters more, or alternatively go way, way over the top and make it totally outrageous. It feels a little "meh" right now.

Trapped had it all - characters with depth as well as outrageous OTT. Maybe I'm being unfair and should give this more of a chance, but previous History series were at 100% from the open scene.

I'm dropping this and reading the comments to see if it gets better in which case I'll watch it and catch up with you. Too many red flags at this point and there's so much BL on right now my family is starting to worry about me.
On A Tale of Thousand Stars Mar 15, 2021
Why is everyone going after Dr Nam? He hasn't done anything wrong! Is everyone assuming he called Phupha to tell him or something? I'm 100% sure he didn't.

He's Tian's doctor, so he has every right to look into Tian's records. He has zero right to reveal anything he learns, but until he does, leave my baby alone!

To kill the boredom and divert my anxiety waiting for the next teary episode, let's play the alternate casting…
Just about anyone would work for Mix that's in his mid-20s - his character is not very complex or interesting. They can be up to about an inch taller than Earth without it being an issue, otherwise Earth will start to look cute instead of imposing. I don't think previous pairings should be considered at all - does it matter?

He's my Mix list: Singto, Tommy Sittichok, Billkin , Ohm Pawat would be great personality-wise but might be too big. First Kanaphan. Dark horse candidate: Fiat? He's done a good job playing an aggressive character - maybe too sexy though.

For Phupha: forget it. Earth isn't replaceable. Joss has the look, but I don't think he could pull it off. This series would be better than average and very well produced without Earth, but he's what makes it top-tier. I actually poured over a list of every Thai BL ever made and I came up with nothing. Maybe Beam from The Stranded?

For Rung, if it needs to be someone part-white, then Perth Nakhun (My Engineer) or Yoon from YYY.

Yod: You forgot Poppy.
