I think the reason season 1 was because it wasn’t owned by Netflix 😭they clearly had plans for season 2 and those plans were very obviously changed around and budget cuts were made

i liked it in the manhwa, but it most definitely would not translate well to live action

because it had potential to be better than the first season, if they just followed the webtoon story and made some smaller changes (eg removing ranking list, that was stupid) it could’ve been much better than s1

Ending was arguably bad. I’m going under the assumption that there won’t be another season, because if there was why the hell wouldn’t they just spread out the webtoon content more between them, but Baekjin’s death at the end is super unnecessary. The best ending for him would to get arrested like Si-eun did with the runaway gang in season 1 and his business shut down, but him just disappearing also wouldn’t be a bad ending, I mean that’s what happened with Young-yi

to sum it up, they condensed 3-4 seasons worth of content into a single season, this means they cut out important characters, barely developed the actual important characters, didnt develop the relationships between characters nearly enough, also alot of the changes were stupid, such as removing baekjins tattoos that were literally there in season 1 and disappeared as well as introducing him having a monologue when fighting and not showing it ever again, the cinematography and fight choreography is also not as good as season 1

One small change I noticed was si eun yelling while fighting. This never happened in season 1, and I don’t like the change because it displays si eun as being more reckless and emotional rather than strategic and tactical

no people are upset because it arguably wasn’t good, alot of kdrama fans watch things with their brains turned off so I can see why this has such a high rating
