I saw some theories, people are saying the scent on Ji Ling is his loneliness and it's slowly drifting away because of her, others say it's the smell of death(?) and he's going to die soon that's why it's drifting away, I only thought it was a fox smell and not anything THAT deep😭 but it does seem to be deep after all.
