Random, but I adore Su Huai Rou and Qian Rong's relationship. The scenes where they feel Yun Xiang out, or plot to try and understand his plans, are cathartic to me. I'm not sure why. (Ironically enough I liked the scene where QR choked YX out. 🥲 I know, I suck.)

I haven't seen many people complain about her, many people seem to love her and find her refreshing. I think they have an issue with the foundation of the romance...it's built on a trust and affection that seems easily destroyed in the end. We'll have to wait and see.

I usually hate or ignore romance Cdramas because I'm a raging elitist who has the perfect relationship characteristics in my head (although I've been a single nerd all my life ANYWAY) and Cdrama cliches drive me up the wall. But this is one of the few first Chinese dramas in a while that has me drowning in a pit of my own loneliness. (i.e Episode 11)

And it's a HISTORICAL WUXIA for goodness sake?!! Whoever directed their scenes needs accolades. And besides that, their chemistry is off the charts. This is supreme casting...

Anyone who follows any acting career sees the highs and lows of their popularity and how they are received by the public. It is an irrevocable fact that he is a "great idol-actor that everybody knows", and yet no one is fan girling over him like other people in his age bracket with less acting abilities.
