That was a banger of a first episode. Once again, here come the grouchers that the ML doesn't have martial arts! Come on guys, give it a chance. I prefer this though...it gives me a Jiang Ziya/Nirvana in Fire/Ancient Detective vibe. Plotting male leads that have a gang of super-powered friends to bail them out is so wholesome.

The 2nd lead is the ONLY person I stayed for. Oh my goodness the main lead character was so annoying. I want to burn my retinas out and go deaf at all his shouting/surprised scenes. This is saying a lot, since I adored his personality in the beginning. But they overdid it. Now the cooking-best friend-PTSD-warrior second lead? Oh yeah. TOtally my style. And ironically, the eunuch as well. He was a snake, sure, but a charming snake. The show's storytelling was average to top-notch for the most part... but I had to drop it. I'm a person who if I REALLY can't stand a character I will power through. But when said character is the main lead? Yeah, I give up.

??? If it gives you any consolation in ancient China and other places being a housewife was considered a 'job' and not taken lightly. Modernity and the boom from Industrialization thrust women into working a job like men do AND bEING a housewife. If anything women now are unnecessarily doing double the work, which is why marriage age is increasing and increasing. If you study history like I do you'd know raising families, especially influential ones, was no easy task. Stop undervaluing yourself!

One of my pet peeves with this drama is how they're trying to whitewash/sweeten the new head coach after all the slick shit he said and the unprofessionalism he pulled. Then there are the snide comments here and there he makes to Ling You'an when stuff goes wrong. Just shut the hell up. I know they're going for the 'tough love rough honest coach' route, but there are better ways to do it. What a cheeseball.

I'm on ep. 17 right now. They better not try to pair him with LYA's nutritionist friend.

Exactly, it's giving Flight to You vibes. Aiyahhhhhhh we're not in a historical drama why the constant suffering. Haha, I enjoy it though, it makes success and victory even more sweet.

You know what, I agree, he and Wu Lei have that serious demeanor and professionalism toward scripts beyond their years. I just hope his studio will push him out to do more of those serious themes and experiments. ALSO RELEASE HIS MOVIES DAMMIT! A dark series would suit him well.

Thank God for actresses like Zhou Yutong and Qin Lan (The Rational Life)that gracefully act the elegant, businesswoman role. I'm so tired of some 30+ actresses still attempting the baby talk in lighthearted dramas. You don't need to be in a thriller or crime series before you can act elegantly and graciously like a mature woman.

Qin Lan is a talented underground actress, but still this rating confuses me. I think I'll go to Douban
