You're not wrong at all. It's a very "Red" drama. I think you'll have more fun if you see it as a small piece of history from that time...kind of like a documentary. Since I myself am minoring in Chinese studies, and learning their history, this modern chapter of Maoist China and the communist legacy is interesting, although I disagree with it.

No offense, but doesn't really make sense...this is a comment section? Sharing opinions and butting heads is what people do. It's called dialogue. Not all disagreement is an attack. Forcing silence/acceptance on something you disagree with is censorship itself. So if anything, your comment is an opinion, and is still contrary to your message.

Agreed, when news of this project first came out I was nervous about how the stans would percieve him, I wanted him to do well. I totally forgot about this show until today, only to find out it didnt even air 🤣🤣🤣

Seo Ji Hoon!!! I hope his character in this drama is a bit similar to the one in the spectacular show Solomon's Perjury. OR the one in Secret Boy. I think his company should focus on darker, more somber roles for him than trying to make him into a sunshine girl-crush kind of actor.

I adore watching Qin Lan on-screen.
Despite the insufferably stagnant character that is Lin Xiang, and the ML looking like a kicked puppy for most of the series, I'd say this show was a solid 8.5 It reminds me of Search. WWW in the way that women are portrayed as headstrong and calculative in their desires, without being short-sighted and unbearingly self-destructive like in other "business girl power" dramas.

I agree with you about the main pairing. Seo Ji Hoon is killing it here, even though he's playing as a flashback character, I always long for his and SMG's actress on screen.

I also agree with you on BM's actress. She's pretty and she knows it, but her inability to contort her face in ways that bring her character and her emotions to life is a shame. Well, she's young so I don't think it's too bad.

In terms of the teen characters, BM's best friend is eating them all up. I love her character, and that luscious bob.

Strangely enough, I'm more excited to see Song Joonki in the shortlived Secretary role than anything else. I wouldn't call it a 'subservient' position so to speak, but something about him being a secretary cleaning things up on the side is appealing to me.

Agreed. KDramas have been implementing this more recently, like in the show Again My Life. I wouldn't mind this trend taking off. I'm tired of the strange obsession with Law Dramas that overtook 2021-22

This is one of the most quality mini-dramas I've seen. I'm shocked and yet pleasantly surprised. The chemistry between the two leads! Amazing. The Prince's character is loathsome, but he has his micro-expressions and acting down to a T. Really goes to show that there are hidden gems in C-ent, they just need a place to shine, rather than shoving the same popular actresses and actors down our throats.

I've been waiting for this to be released since last year... I hope it comes out this winter!
