FL is reincarnation of goddess of xishan? And goddess of war is the lady that lord ruo (secret villain) trying…
Different people. There's 2 goddesses. Goddess Xishan of Xilan tribe, who was the neutral tribe during the battle of Moon Tribe and Immortal/God realm. However, Xilan tribe became casualty during that battle period 30,000 years ago and the Goddess disappeared with it. No one knows why. It just said during the intro that legand has it Goddess Xishan is the only one who can save the world/diffuse the catastrophe if Dong Fang Qin Cang came back. FL is pretty clearly Goddess Xishan and the only Xilan Tribe left. Chi Di woman is the Goddess of War of the God realm. She basically sacrificed herself to stop the war, froze the 100,000 army and seal Dongfang Qin Cang. She's the goddess in red we see in the flashback. Everyone thought she died but according to her destiny book, part of the primordial spirit lived on and reincarnated into the mortal world. I think ML said she's just going through destiny trial? I don't remember exactly but assumed that means she's going through her trial in the mortal world. It was said really quickly right after he read her destiny leaf, so it could be easy to miss. That means she's definitely not FL and she's somewhere else. ML is trying to locate Chi Di just so he can use her to free his army, which was frozen during the war by her. Hope that clears it up

Huh, the automatically switched back their bodies back in ep 1. It was such a short time body switch. It doesn't…
I don't think this is the end of their body switch. In the longer trailer of the theme song, there was a couple other scenes later on where they definitely switch again. I think it will happen later when the kiss may be? Aslo it's pretty obviously she's the Xilan tribe goddess Xishan that disappeared 30,000 yrs ago the originally engaged to 2nd ML, so it will be interested whne all of that gets discovered.

And I agree with you about her character - we also need her to have character development, so a naive orchid is…
Plus I think ppl exaggerate a bit. Her starting point isn't bad either. She's silly but she's not overly dumb like most FL. I don't really find any of her conclusions and reactions unreasonable given her perspective. Sure she's naive but that's normal for where she is at. I mean if I was a plant for a thousand year and spent most of my life in a fairy world without that much interaction with others, I think I would be the same? I think ppl gets thrown by her voice but may be bc I expected it so I only take the character into account. I find the pure innocent fairy is a great contrast to the devil. Who else would make a mean devil melt if not a kind innocent fairy. Esther fits the role well in that sense. I look forward to the character development

Is it really her own voice?
Yes. It's her voice for everthing. She's been in variety shows and lots of other interviews. That's just her speaking voice. I know her so I already expected it. She does amp it up a bit depending on her role. The same way we all would speak a little different when we're happy or excited, but her natural voice is already high.
On Love between Fairy and Devil Aug 7, 2022
Jeez the hate for Esther's voice. I think her voice is perfect for her character. Plus That's just her voice. You get used to it. She knows how to make it work for her role. Plus, the fairy is 1500 years old. It's a super super young for immortals age. Like 14/15 yo or less. Obviously the character will grow in the future as she goes through things but even now I still like her. she's reasonable and kind. Might be kind of silly and naive but nothing uncommon for a plant immortal who barely ever left her place. It's a fantasy. Watch it with an open mind or just not bother jeez. ML's acting is definitely more colorful than the Miss Dragon series. I hope he continue to improve. It's a refreshing story so far. Definitely still has some similar dynamics but definitely mixed up the common storyline. I like the different worlds and levels they established so far. Hopefully it will get better

Well deserved consequence for her action. However, I don't see the need for the pile on insults on her personally. She's paying for her mistake right now by law and by consequences dealt to her career. Luckily there was no fatal casualties. Leave her some room to grow in the future. I hope she learn her lesson and will be able to come back some time in the future

all these wonderful king and queens... literally have the worst children. Yikes. Someone need to give them a beating... This crown prince needs to step down. He's so useless.... I hope he doesn't ruin his mother with his ways. The wife is shady as hell. I hope CSS will see through her soon

No.. iqiyi said technical issues problem.Who said it won't release again? Maybe It'll re-edit and they'll change…
Iqiyi is alwasy going to say technical issues. They're not gonna tell you the full truth. Sounds like a censorship issues. They say technical issues but I think it's censorship since they have stories of very prominent real figures with minor name change but very recognizable. That and the whole topic it tackles open lots of room for scrutinizing by the government. It was supposed to air on satellite but didn't pass 2nd round so it never aired there. They were going to release it on the same day online as probably a web drama but then it also got pulled an hour or two later. May be some contract term issues with the production or smt, since this was contracted to be a satellite drama. It might also be that in this 2nd round of censorship, something stood out and they're now getting flagged with a lot more things. This would mean much more significant changes for the satellite version, so they needed to pull the web drama as well. No one knows for sure. There's a chance it will get canceled but who knows what actually happened

Sorry I'm not familiar with China's History but what is this synopsis.... I'm scratching my head 🤣
What do you mean the synopsis is literally a recap of the whole show. This empress a well known figure in chinese history. This show is basically a retelling of her life. Probably fill in the gaps with some drama elements but more or less just her life from the start to the end.

I wonder if anyone else notice Consort Chu (The Crown Prince's wife, the one that help CSS escaped 3rd princess),…
I think someone who read the novel said when LBY leave for revenge he will be supporting 3rd prince? So you are probably right! I think later LBY will pick a side though for the sake of his own agenda, which is revenge lol I hope they keep it not too complicated with the politics stuff. I love court politics stuff but I don't think it's for the audience watching this show. I also don't think it's the strongest suit for the writers of this show. Going too complicated into will just leave more room for plot holes. I

idk why everyone keeps saying Yang Zi is getting type cast in this drama. Yeah it's another immortal drama but…
Thank you. I agree bc Jinmi was such an iconic role. It's hard for ppl to unsee her as Jinmi but she brought a whole different aura into this role. It's like every time Yanzi act cheerful and fun, everyone think it's Jinmi.... It's crazy town. I personally love Jinmi. as well. She might get on ppl's nerve but she didn't do any of it in her own volition. She literally never had full autonomy over who she is. Once she did, she got hit with trauma after trauma and literally get jerked around by everyone before when even get a handle on who she is. Her actions are all understandable to me and she more than make up for her mistake and more.

Came here to praise Cheng Yi. He truly is a talented actor. He's so effortless and impactful at the same time!…
idk why everyone keeps saying Yang Zi is getting type cast in this drama. Yeah it's another immortal drama but really the character is so different. There's a level of depth and intelligence in Yang Dan that Jinmi didn't have. They might both be "carefree" but Yang Dan is care free bc she's too smart to bother & just never wanted to outshine her sister and she's deeply care about the ppl around her to a fault. Jinmi was kind but she was walking around barely feel any emotions ever and just have a blank and confused expression most of the time. They're both cheerful character but definitely very different. Yang Zi add her comedic style to the role so maya be that's why people think they're similar? Idk i just think they are quite different. I'm sure the difference will be more and more obvious as the show goes on.

its not even in the novel tbh
Ok may be i thought too much then. He's just an asshole for the sake of being an asshole lol he just seems to literally blame anything that ever went wrong in that whole realm on love for no reason. It's so weird
On Immortal Samsara: Part 1 Jul 26, 2022
Supreme Emperor is giving major incel energy. Why do I feel like he had a crush on YuanYang's mother but she was in love with his father in the Asura Clan, so he acted like an ass and rage war against the Asura clan and made the entire heaven thinks his father was the bad guy LOL That's why he's sour til this day and ban all love in the heavenly realm? I never read the novel or nothing but he's just giving be that " whoa is me nice guy finish last" vibe

Have you, guys, paid attention what was said about Naksu in the last episodes? She was an assassin of poor innocent…
I really hope they let us see her get her full power back (doesn't matter what body she's in) and slice Jin Mu up herself. After everything he put her through, she deserves that much.

I dont think they meant getting back to that fate but more getting her power back and can protect herself. Plus now that she knows how she's being used. It would be nice to have her back fully charged and able to take revenge on Jin Mu with her own hands. It seems more her style.

Title Alchemy of Souls Spoiler
i don't think there's two souls in the queens body. I think the queen's soul is still living in the Shaman's body…
I think he doesn't really like to use sorcery and mess with the ice stone anymore after what happened with the King and his wife. That incident taught him the lesson of just letting the dead be dead. Nothing good comes from bringing back dead souls. Before that, he was definitely pretty loose with using the stone's power. He was experimenting with soul shifting all the time. I also think "reviving" someone can't be that simple even with the ice stone. The basic principal of yin and yang means there's a price to everything. Either it comes from switching the soul or you'd need to sacrifice something for another. He might have succeed in reviving Buyeon in the womb. However, my guess is he somehow actually brought back the soul of the first Jinyowon's mage into her body in the womb. That would explain the weird coincidence that she and the first Jinyowon's mage were both born blind, despite being very powerful. Also another theory of mine is that since the OG Master Seo Geong that controlled the ice stone and brought peace to the world is the same one that was in love with the 1st mage of Jinyowon (that whole love poem plot line), he might have even used her help in the process with the stone or some how made the stone recognize her soul. That's why of all people, Buyeon's soul and her fate is connected to the stone from the start. Also why Master Lee looked at Mudeok and said a great soul reside in this body. He might not just sensing Naksu's or Buyeon's soul but the original founder for Jinyowon herself. LOL who knows. I might be connecting too many dots, but it could all be connected

Title Alchemy of Souls Spoiler
can somone care to explain what exactly Yul did to check if dead body was soulshift? like yeah we can check the…
So how I understood it is usually the soulshifter will run wild if they get petrified (hurt, bleed, etc.) and in that process they leak out energy (especially if they proceed to fight back and use magic which will speed up the process) and eventually as they keep going around like that after being hurt, they will "run wild" and turn into stone. Depending on how powerful the person is they might be able to prolong the "running wild" period if they keep absorbing energy liek the assassin that tried to steal Uk's body before and the eunuch. However, if you kill the soulshifter dead dead even before he had the chance to leak out energy and turn wild, then his body will just be a normal human body that's already dead right after the soul was switched. That's the case with the apprentice's soul. He didn't get the chance to run wild bc he was dead almost immediately after soul switching and getting hurt. In pushing energy into a soul shifter who is already dead but hasn't ran wild yet, Yul essentially pushing the body through the process of running wild by having energy leaked out of a petrified (in this case dead) soulshifter. He's dead dead so he can't physically be revived but the body still go through the running wild process and turn into stone. Tht way when they burn the casket, this body won't turn into ashes but remain solid. I hope that makes sense. The logic is a little shaky in general and I do think they make it a little inconsistent with how long someone survive after running wild. But I think overall it does make sense
