But really 36 episodes is not enough for this story.. they are so lovely 😭😭😭😭❤️❤️
we'll see to the end but I think it might be a little draggy if they make it too long. the beauty of this drama is its pacing being much much quicker than most xian xia with a million episodes. I think 36 is a good amount to make the story move along and straight forward without missing important moments. They've proved that you don't need drawn out plots to do proper world building and character growth. Altho I also think a couple eps with just them being lovey dovey will be fun even if nothing happens. I think a couple special eps of their happy life would be so cute

I mean there's 36 eps and the trailer it's for the whole show so lol If I'm right, we'll see this whole thing by the time the show end. There's no need for season 2. I think 36 is the perfect amount of episode If they do it right
Rewatched the trailer and some MV clips and got some predictions
It looks like for sure they will have Orchid sacrifice herself to save DF and XuFang (the rat brother) will probably be the instigator. I'm sure with Orchid influence, DF will try to let go of the hate between the tribe and choose to not avenge Moon tribe and choose to be happy with XLH. We'll get some cute scene with them being in love for a short time. However, that will not go well with Xu Fang. He will create a situation where if DF and Orchid will need to sacrifice for each other and Orchid will stab her self and die. Once Orchid do that though, I think the little plant she create with her primordial spirit is how DF will bring her back to life. HOWEVER - There's a scene where she's disappearing and telling him "if you bring me back I'll have to marry someone else". I think when she reborn, she will reborn as a full pledge goddess since she won't have her master spoiling her root. She will also have no memory of DF. Then, for some rule or fated things, she will think she think she have to marry CH per their engagement. Thus, we see the heaven wedding scene with her and CH. I see some scene of her in full goddess outfit fighting DF. Her expression looks off from the XLH we know. My guess is without her memory, she will fight him and be cold to him and he would have to do lots of things to get her to remember. I don't think that would be a long drawn out thing though but probably for 1-2 eps will be DF trying to help her remember again and hopefully it will end with her coming back to him. There is a kiss scene in the end of the trailer with her in a pony tail hair that I think is part of her post-reborn goddess look. I think that's the happy ending after she remembers.
ok I need CH and DF to bond and like each other so they can start to realize after that not all moon tribe are bad and not all gods are evil. Just have peace guys. It's going to be rough and everyone else will try to oppose them, but if anyone can do it. It will be these two.
1. I think that's what the OP is asking so that's how i answered. ML in the romance sense. 2. In terms of story, I actually would think both NYS and Choi Daniel are the leads or neither are the leads. There's 100% a female lead who is the center of everything and that is Ma Eum. Both Joon Young and Ji Huyng character share equal screen time for the most part. However, both of them compliment Ma Eum's character rather than is the center of the story in the same way she is. If anything, Joon Young would be the male lead because so far there is far more back story to be revealed and a clear development arc for him. Choi Daniel character so far has just been the mentor on the side to Ma Eum and we really haven't even seen any scene with him on his own arc. It's all just him supporting other character's arc and add to the main plot line progression with other characters. There isn't a single of scene of him doing his own thing that isn't meant as a plot device to the main story or to another's character's arc. That's why I do not think there is a clear male lead in this show at all no matter how you look at it. My opinion though. You can define male lead however you like.
So…….XuFeng will be partially or totally responsible of Orchid’s death…lovely😭ShangQue could have at…
yeah all of Orchid's effort to save their relationship and his life.... all these men obsessed with war and bloodshed. it's so annoying. The last thing the moon tribe ppl want is more war. They don't need your vengeance. They want peace. THey are sick of your wars. These idiot men cannot stop with their non sense
She does love him. I don't think she fully realize it yet. That's why she was so sad about him still wanting to kill destroy the fairy world. That ultimately puts them at opposite side. She cares for him and doesn't want him to get hurt but she also can't stand him killing the fairy realm & ppl she loves. In the mortal world, they are clearly building the dynamic of two lovers hiding their real motives from each other bc they're on the opposite side but they also love each other. When she said she wish he's not the moon lord and shes just a regular maid, it was clear that their opposition is what makes it hard for her to face her feelings. It's going to be bittersweet how this will end.
For me, it would be best with no hints of romance whatsoever, they are not necessary at all. Especially with Ji…
I can understand that. I'm more talking about ppl trying to figuring out a lead in a romance liek this is what this is about. Like I said the show is not without its flaws. I also find some of the "lesson" problematic. However, I don't mind a little sprinkle of romance. I just think it's such a minor part of the story that it doesn't bother me. I just choose to not let that bother me. It's not like the romance effect any of the main story. Ji Huyng doesn't stop mentoring Ma Eum or Joon Young bc of his feelings. He just have a few seconds of suspicious of these two relationship. I don't evne think he's jealous but more curious what is up with them. Sure probably because he had a hint of affection for Ma Eum but It's barely significant enough at this point to let it bother you. With Ma Eum being as lovable as she is, it would be hard for anyone to not feel a little tingling for her. I also think that little sweet hint of romance without going the romance route is what the show is going for. I find it cute as long as it doesn't take away from the show's core value.
Ppl need to stop going on and on about the romantic lead. this is not a rom com. I don't understand why the need to have clear a male romantic lead in story that's not about romance and really not even about any of the guys? So many ppl commented that here. Clearly romance is not a focus here. There's a bit of sweetness & light crushes here and there but it's more like a footnote in the story. That's why the show is not trying to create a main male lead figure but is just leading you through this girl's journey. I think the point is to watch the main story unfold. The main story is about Ma Eum and an inside look into the webtoon world. It's it. If you're looking for a clear romantic plot line, that's not going to be the case. or at least not the focus they're trying to do. So unless you're watching it to see the stories of Ma Eum's development, the PDs and artists and the world of webtoon, you're prob going to be annoyed. The show has its issues but this whole endless comments about who is going to fall for who in a show that's not about romance is getting a little much. Just watch? Either someone will get together or they don't. It doesn't matter that much. no? it's more about the way they support and be there for each other in their work. Jeez
I wont pass my final judgement on this drama until it ends. I wont pass my final judgement on this drama until…
THANK YOU I also feel liek the message is all over the place. Yes I understand the complication between making webtoon that's profitable and thinking about the numbers on top of being passionate about the work and telling the stories you want to tell. But the show goes too much in one direction and then did not do a good job with balancing it out. Like they made it seem like overwork everyone is the way to go if you want to succeed.... Like that's not how you get long term results. I think by showing the artist leaving him, that's meant to show that his method doesn't always work. But that detail is not proportional to the amount of excuses and all the narrative to somehow make what he did justifiable... It's lunacy. I love this topic and I think the show is too early to judge in full so I will also reserve judgment but so far it just promoting ridiculous work culture.
I thought the same thing when she was talking with Jieli; I was so panicked he would walk in.Remember the good…
well i mean to be fair I don't think he drank it bc he trusted her. That was early in their relationship. I think he just knows it's futile bc it wouldn't do much to him. He just wanted to see what she plan on doing
iggg why are they so bloody cute! the camera work is so intentional and beautifully done. Our tortured devil is…
The one important thing we learned though is that the 1st moon tribe leader didn't learn hell fire until after she was heart broken and removed her own feelings. That mean may be our devil will lose hell fire for real after all. I'm actually ok with it. TBH no one should have that stupid amount of power. Plus our devil is strong and talented enough that he can stilll gain decent power level without hill fire. The 1sts moon tribe leader was still a leader before her Hell Fire. Plenty of leaders before DF can't master hell fire either. It's not must have thing to rule. It's the person that matters. I'm sure DF can still be plenty powerful without it. Plus I'm hoping for Orchid to power up and can protect herself as well. I truly hope their break is going to be bearable and doesn't last too long. Also, personal opinion but I think his father is just another muddled immortal like everyone else in this whole world that's literally obsessed and stuck in their way. His justification for torturing and destroying his own son aren't enough for me. I understand DF needed to know that he was loved and that was a beautiful moment. Dylan really was able to capture his pain well. However, hoesntly doesn't excuse the trauma and pain the father inflicted on his son. All that for what? people are still dying, war is still raging. These immortals are so old but so insanely frustrating to watch. XLH better get them all into shape. UGh
iggg why are they so bloody cute! the camera work is so intentional and beautifully done. Our tortured devil is winning everyone's hearts. The upcoming heartache will be tough though. I hope they keep it short enough. The only way this can end happily is by CH taking over Shuiyantian and and get a peace treaty with our devil and Moon Tribe. I can't see his asshole brother ever let that happen. I guess may be we will see CH be useful at some point. It's ridiculous that they just have to kill each other dead all the time. I can smell the misunderstandings coming up ugh. I trust Orchid and DF will ultimately do the right thing though.
Does anyone get anime vibe whenever they play background music for DF's hell fire scene or when he's showing off his power? LOL the rock background music feels like a classic hero fight scene in anime.
I wonder if Esther's real-life personality is like this also. She makes her character seem so believable. As if…
I think she is similar but minus the overly naive part of course. SHe does study her script and very detail oriented with acting though and it shows. She doesn't just like act out the script. She spent time to study it well and deliver the character her way. You can tell from BTS clips where she plan out the blocking and sequence of a scene happen. You can tell she works really hard.
He wasn't descending into madness, he was consumed by revenge, and his aunt's death pushed him over the edge.…
I think the whole uneducated stuff is not how he feels. He just said that because he's being ass to tease her and also throw mud at her marriage prospects. He doesn't believe in marriage but also into her. I think he's just immature. He's gotten a little better lately. I'm sure he'll improve one LBY is gone and he had a chance. However, we all know LBY will be end game. I just hope they make his redemption satisfying given all the ways he went out of his way to get CSS to lay down her defenses and truly love him, then choosing revenge over her. Yes he didn't plan on it of course. He will still make that choice though. I do find that that makes him an interesting ML and much more realistic given the depth of his grudge. I just hope they make the redemption worth it.
