I’m sorry did they seriously cut out the confession part that actually start their relationship? The whole reason we watched 16 eps of this show so far?….. like why why? That just makes absolutely no logic ….

i even wish the new one is real wife lol, she is much more good than mc, she never jealous when mc go with ml…
I mean she didn't make a scene in front of the banquet or did anything embarrassing. She went home to be upset like she should. Does being mature mean you don't get to be sad and upset when you are wronged even in your own home? ML being a supportive and loving husband means that she should feel so blessed & grateful and not allowed to be upset even if she get kicked around over and over? Having emotions doesn't make you immature or become a burden. Her whole character is that she's real to her feelings and not good at putting on a facade to please others. The whole show has different women dealing with life in different ways. I can see the logic in her character thinking and reactions. She's developing as a character and that's what the show aim to do. Just feels like there's a lack of empathy for the FL in these shows even when they are well written and logical... the main wife doesn't get jealous and always logical because she doesn't have any romantic feelings towards the ML. The more you love someone the more likely you are to be emotional towards. It's normal and human. The main wife is great but she can't replace LW and what her character bring to the story. That's all.

she wasn't jealous about the party though. She's just sad and angry that her efforts went to nothing and the unfair societal rules constantly kicking her. Its interesting that you see as "jealousy", despite acknowledging that LW already said that's not why she was upset. I sensed that a lot of ppl just love a FL that's agreeable to their liking. Be "strong" and "smart" but don't get in the way or have full range of emotions bc it's "inconvenient" to the plot. If she's upset and react emotionally in a way that affected the romance or the lovable ML, even though her reactions make sense, she will be seen as unreasonable and "annoying"... why? Is she not supposed to be a normal multi dimensional human? Is she supposed to be a good nature woman, be good at everything but never complain or be unhappy even if she gets treated badly? Or by having her own resolve to do thing for herself and not making romance the top priority derailed the romantic fantasy you expected make you see her as annoying and not as "good" as the other woman? She had her own strength. She didn't have the privilege of wealth and education like the others but shes growing and getting better every day. I'm not trying to attack but just calling out the confusing expectation lots of ppl in the comments seem to have for the FL.

yeah. He's forced to marry a main wife who's a princess as well but she's very nice and they had an agreement to divorce once they both get what they want. She has a good sisterhood with our FL and the other girls, she taught both ML and FL a lot. She won't be an antagonist

Can someone tell me when the 2 leads get together? after reading the comments it looks like its a slow burner.…
I mean she's a little slower to realize her feelings. Plus I believe this is more of a slice of life & family drama than a pure romance genre. I'm around where you are right now with the eps, so far I love her & find her action reasonable. She never wanted to get married and spent the first few months thinking she should be nice to him as he's about to die. She made an impression on Yin Zheng the moment they met & he slowly falling more and more for her from there. However, to her, he's just some guy she's now obligated to live with. She never wanted to be there so it naturally takes longer for her to fall for him. She's in a strange place alone, in a society that run on misogyny & get treated as 2nd class bc she's a woman, something she never experience in her region. She also miss her family. Therefore, her main motivation in the beginning would just be to go home. I think the romance is slow burn but the more important point of her story is for her to find a place for herself in this country by meeting new friends and creating a meaningful life for herself not just because she's in love with a guy. I find that to be a much more interesting character development. Idk why it annoys ppl so much that she wants to go home. I know it makes YZ sad bc he's always lonely and she brought a lot of joy to his life and he's sweet to her. However, 1. being a decent husband is the bare minimum. 2. A woman should live for herself. She's not yet in love with him & if she is in love, she hasn't noticed it. Why would she be affected by his feelings at this point in the story. From the comments, I think she'll stop wanting to go home as she feel more established in this new life. However, clearly she will continuously running into situation that will make her miss home bc of how women are treated. I think that's very normal and completely understandable.

Give the female lead a chance the same way we give it to Wang Hedi before. It is really a sad reality where we…
I think it's also fiar to be skeptical. We should be able to make criticisms to women as we do men no? I really really tried to like Yuqi acting because her role in Ashes of love was lovely. I agree that one show might not be everything so I tried to watch multiple shows she's in with a positive expectation but ended up dropping every shows she was in .... She's great in smaller roles but the problem is just when she's a main lead, her acting flaws are so evidently shown. She just isn't good enough as an actress to carry a show. I like the actress and hope she has a break through so I'll give this show a chance but I just struggle with every show she's in, especially with romantic plot. Acting skill is one thing but her chemistry with her leads are just so snooze worthy. I get what you mean about actresses getting criticized harshly all the time for virtually no reason. THat is not the case here for me at least. I think we should still be able to give honest opinion. Of course misogyny exist and in her case when you also consistently don't perform well the compiled criticisms will be harsher than necessary. I don't know what the others said. However, I don't think I'm biased on her being an actress but more about her acting skill itself. WHD had 1 flop before but again he was new and also was paired with another actress whose acting is kind of questionable as well for a lead.
I'm even more skeptical with this one because I can see WHD acting has improved a lot and he will probably do a great job here. However, when it's a romance focus drama and the two actors don't level up to each other, the flaws will be even more obvious. I hope they figure it out and make it work here. I truly do. Yu Qi got some pretty good projects coming up so I will keep trying and hope there's one that will finally click for her. However, I will say I'm skeptical and will have to wait for a few eps to come out to binge to try this out. The rest of the cast in this show are quite amazing, so I'm sure I'll still have things to enjoy no matter Yuqi's acting.

This drama is a mess, regret starting it bc now I need to finish it. All 3 sisters are dumb, dumber, and dumbest.
I disagree. They all have their own flaws like everyone else and complex around money. They don't see all the things we see either. I don't think anything they've done so far is without reason. Their reactions fit their characters. They are not sharing the same information or know what the audience know either. If you go in expecting them to all act in a cunning and smart way right from the get go, I would think that's so played out and common in these kinds of drama. Human are flawed. We have greed, pain and fear. It;s not liek they are all seasoned schemers or raised in that type of environment. They are just doing what they can think of at the moment based on their personality and desire. I think to judge them as dumb is a bit missing the point of the show. If there is criticism, it really would be how the story telling is done. The narrative is too fragmented are times are things are properly presented. They create mysteries and conflicts but in a chaotic way where I think a proper through line can be established. Hopefully that will improve but it makes it hard to stay invested. However, I will reserve judgment to see how they can connect everything & if they do it in the right way. However, as far as characters, I do appreciate seeing the flawed portrayal of the everyday person instead of some super cunning and smart characters what just don't usually exist in real life, especially for the type of family they are. Also, you do have the option to just drop the drama if all you can perceive from the show is dumb dumber and dumbest. It kinda seem like you're expecting to watch a certain character type instead of letting the characters establish who they are and how they move through life. The world is not fair and poverty affected their life in different ways. They are messy and confused just like what most normal ppl would in their situation.

I will treat this as an alternate universe where DFQC never existed LOL The trailer is so cute already. I'm a little nervous that it's 36 eps for quite a simple love story so I hope they don't make it draggy. I'm usually not a huge fan of ZBB to be honest. Smt about his other shows I've watched just feel awkward. Idk why. However, Esther just make every male lead shine with her. The trailer completely sold me. He looks so good in glasses as well. This is about to be so cute and sweet. I can't wait

WHAT A GEM. I'm giving it a 8.5 on the scale of short web drama genre overall. Since it is a short drama, I wasn't expecting much. However, right from the start it was definitely better than your standard web drama quality from china. I see some comments complaining about the editing style. Idk if ppl just can't understand artistic presentation of things but I personally enjoy the editing style of the drama. Lots interesting transitions. Lots of intentional and interesting camera work. Is it the best? not really but definitely can see that they made an effort to make this interesting to watch rather than the other standard brainless drama. I did watch the full version with all the eps together, so it makes the viewing experience much better as well.
Acting: The leads are great together. Especially the FL. I will follow this actress in teh future. The ML did a good job too. I never realize how hot he can be when he was playing support roles in other showd. This soft and gentle but intelligent role look good on him. it is a low budget web drama so of course I don't expect top notch delivery from all the other support actors since I'm sure lots of them are new. However, they did ok enough that it wasn't too awkward. I'm definitely just here for the main couple though.
Plot: Despite the short episodes and set up, they were able to sown a pretty cute and tight story together. It definitely got all the butterfly moments but with a nice twist. I LOVE the complete role reversal of the typical domineering CEO and poor woman trope flipped to the FL being the arrogant CEO. Yet they don't go too far and make her ridiculously unreasonable. She is how a smart woman would be but still have the silly and cuteness. She's just neurotic enough for a good laugh like any typical arrogant CEO trope but never went too far into being mean and cruel. When she come off rude, She still has good intentions but just doesn't know how to express herself. It also show a woman can be strong and successful but still be feminine and cute if she wants to be. The ML did a good job as well. He's gentle and supportive and very nice to look at. I find it fun that they used some typical CEO and contract marriage trope but apply it logically to how these character would act, so things get resolved in a logical way. Once they get together, these two are strong and the FL doesn't go off the handle at every doubt she has. She think things through logical and have enough trust for the ML that fits the development stage of the relationship. There were 2 points where the ML's character and action create doubts. 1st on at the earlier part when they first get to know each other and 2nd one after they're really together and fully in love. I think it's interesting to see her logically test him in a nicest way possible and give him every chance to explain himself for the 1st one. She tried her best to give him the benefit of the doubt but also didn't brainlessly blinded by him, since they literally just met. That makes perfect sense. 2nd time around, after really knowing who he is and in a relationship together, her reaction is definitely different. She's not as clear minded but she let her heart leads her. She knows who he is, so she trust herself and never let him go. That's a logical way to write a story with dramatic twist but letting the character lead the story and logically apply how the character would act in the progression of their relationships. It's rare to just see a logical story line where characters don't just act in a nonsensical way for the sake of drama. Especially in a C-webdrama. I think that's the biggest scoring point for the show. The overall plot of the mystery around them in nicely done. I will admit I skipped the 2nd couple after a little while bc they are just boring in comparison. Their acting are both subpar. There's some slight plot hole if you will overthink it, but I think they did a good job with making the mystery makes sense. I will say where they miss is in the 2nd lead. His motivation and just overall the way he is presented is not convincing. It makes his whole story line, that's crucial to the story development feel off. I see what the writer is trying to do but I think his whole plot line is a little convoluted and didn't make too much sense. It doesn't take away too much though, since both main leads were good and they are really all you care about. Considering the quality of the short web drama out there in C-dramaland, this one is a gem for sure.

Yes, just like a few more minutes to explain what just happened would have been nice.
Yeah it definitely leaves no room for skippers. Lots of important information is only said once or explained very quickly and the sub run really quick in some parts, so you either catch it or get confused or rewatch to understand. I do understand how everything turned out though. It was very well written but just linger a little bit in certain moment would make a deeper impact in some scenes. I think that's also the good part of the show. It doesn't feel super stretched out with just tragedy after tragedy like most xian xia. The pain comes deep but it also resolves quickly.

my only complaint is that i need this to be just one episode longer..... Like they cut quite a bit at the end. It didn't hurt the whole story but It would be amazing to get just a little more of their happy ending and linger on their sweet moment just a little more. Like even 4 minutes more would be perfect. Just so people don't get confused and also just to give us a little fan service. We cried to hard in the last few eps. I wanted to enjoy their sweet ending a little more... I hope they release an extended cut at some point. I can tell there were a few parts that were cut short just to get the story across but not waste time. It would be awesome to see the full vision plus get some more sweetness from this couple. I will miss them so so much!!

Have you watched a Korean drama before? Because the FL being more-than-believably childish. naïve and innocent…
I don't think Its really her "childish" side that he finds cute. I think the reason is as simple as the same reason the audience and myself fall in love with her. I see him smiling at her quirks not as him specifically attracted to that traits but he simply does not see it as a negative. He started of just treating her nicely the same way he does everyone. Helping her with the door isn't attraction or finding it cute. It's just being nice. He also mentioned once that he finds the whale stuff interesting so he doesn't mind it. Obviously he cannot have anything to really respond to her facts simply bc no one can possibly know that much about whale to discuss it with her. He also can prob tell she doesn't really care if he has anything to say. She just needed an outlet. I think what he finds cute and lovable is how passionate she is about whale. I personally find someone at that level of nerding out over anything is incredibly cute. Like isn't it incredible to watch someone so in love with a topic they can't stop talking about it? I think so and I think Jun Ho prob feels the same.

She also does smt no one else do and express herself frankly. She's incredibly smart, which in itself is attractive to him. He goes from just being nice and trying to help someone to find her pretty whne she's in a wedding dress. That's the first point of attraction. The same way any man is attracted to any woman. Then, with time and all the different sides she showed him, how can he not love her as we all do? When you start to like someone, everything they do look cute to you. I think it's simple as that. I mean I love her. Not because she's some inspirational story of someone beating the odds but because she's simply cool as heck? She says what she means, she's compassionate despite not being able to fully express it. She's smart. Her whale facts are funny and fascinating even if I can't retain them all. The more layers you know about her, the more warm she feels no matter how she comes off at first.

I mean If I as a girl look at her and feel like wow she's so dang cool. Then why would it be a question why a man like Jun Ho, who never regard her ASD's symptoms in as a negative but just common sense, would not fall for someone like that? There are obviously things that are tough for him to adjust going from just a crush to a relationship because of external factors. However, in terms of why he falls for her, I think it's more than obvious no? Jun Ho is the kind of guy who's genuine and nice to everyone. He had more than enough girls swooning around him, acting like children. When someone like Sung-Woo appear who is not like anyone else, I mean why wouldn't he be interested? I don't find her way he regards her as child like. I think it's more like someone who's whipped and just do wev make their crush happy.

I saw the trailers, and comparing to the scenes in the ending ost, it does not looks like we are getting a happy…
It looks like for sure they will have Orchid sacrifice herself to save DF and XuFang (the rat brother) will probably be the instigator. I'm sure with Orchid influence, DF will try to let go of the hate between the tribe and choose to not avenge Moon tribe and choose to be happy with XLH. We'll get some cute scene with them being in love for a short time. However, that will not go well with Xu Fang. He will create a situation where if DF and Orchid will need to sacrifice for each other and Orchid will stab her self and die. Once Orchid do that though, I think the little plant she create with her primordial spirit is how DF will bring her back to life. I mean that was how they prob saved her before.
HOWEVER - There's a scene where she's disappearing and telling him "if you bring me back I'll have to marry someone else". I think that's when she goes from being a lingering spirit around DF to being reborn. When she reborn, she will reborn as a full pledge goddess with full power since she won't have her master spoiling her root. She will also have no memory of DF. Then, for some rule or fated things, she will think she think she have to marry CH per their engagement. Thus, we see the heaven wedding scene with her and CH. I see some scene of her in full goddess outfit fighting DF. Her expression looks off from the XLH we know. My guess is without her memory, she will fight him and be cold to him and he would have to do lots of things to get her to remember. I don't think that would be a long drawn out thing though but probably for 1-2 eps will be DF trying to help her remember again and hopefully it will end with her coming back to him. There is a kiss scene in the end of the trailer with her in a pony tail hair that I think is part of her post-reborn goddess look. I think that's the happy ending after she remembers.
