Title Alchemy of Souls Spoiler
i don't think there's two souls in the queens body. I think the queen's soul is still living in the Shaman's body…
I mean in that case, of course he will choose the original Naksu. Especially if he has the knowledge that their souls are back to where it is. Nak su is the girl he fell in love with. No question. The only time we saw the real Mudeok/Buyeon is when she sleepwalk. Other than that, every interaction with Mudeok is Naksu. It would be weird if he has any feelings with Mudeok/Buyeon other than some light attachment to her face may be. It would be funny if they both survived and Yul ended up falling for Mudeok/Buyeon later LOL. In a weird way, everyone got their happy ending in that case. From what we know so far, Buyeon sounds like a genuinely kind girl. I do hope she survive lol It would just be a shame to not see So Min's chemistry with Jae Wook comes to fruition but I'm ok with it either way.

Yes I like both actresses of course so I would support it either way. As long as the writers keep up the good work and make it make sense

i just caught to all the eps but did we already appreciate how they just use traditional version of a kpop song (Nontop by Oh My Girl) for the show LOL they pulled a Bridgerton and I thought it was hilarious. Especially since one of the members is in the show too lol what a meta moment

Title Alchemy of Souls Spoiler
So there are two souls in Naksu's body - Naksu's soul and Buyeon's soul. There are two souls in Dwanju queen's…
i don't think there's two souls in the queens body. I think the queen's soul is still living in the Shaman's body somewhere. The eunuch seems to imply that earlier when he threaten her. It's not normal to have both souls in one body. It only happened to Mudeok bc of Buyeon's soul relating to the ice stone somehow. Also the reason why Naksu never needed to feed on souls to keep from going wild. Bc Buyeon's soul in her body is related with the ice stone energy some how. My guess is bc her mother had used the ice stone to revive her when she was in the womb somehow and in the process of Jin Mu using her to find the stone, she must have absorbed the stone's energy. As long as Bu Yeon's soul is sharing Naksu's body, she will not go wild. It's also the reason why she even able to have both souls in one body. Idk how this will end though. I feel like they will use the ice stone to separate their soul and revive both Naksu and MuDeok/Buyeon some how. That might be the reason why there's rumor that the actress playing Naksu will be the lead in season 2. If that does happen, it's the only route that will make sense. Also it would technically be the only true happy ending bc both Naksu and Buyeon/Mudeok deserve to survive. However, I hate to see So Min leave the show so LOL I personally am ok with Buyeon's soul somehow get sacrifice for Naksu to live on. It's not the most fair outcome but one I'm biased towards... after all they are drama characters so wev the writer decides will be interesting for sure.

On Love Like the Galaxy: Part 1 Jul 21, 2022
Do we know when part 2 will be out? I'm debating to just pause before watching the latest episodes when I assume the true romantic arc start and wait until part 2 is out to continue. That way I don't get too into the pairing and then get impatient that it got cut short

Title Link: Eat, Love, Kill Spoiler
Meant that, it's logical that there would be more than one culprit - unfortunately in real life cases as this…
Just my perspective but it feels a bit like hindsight. I mean there's so many comments shocked by the fact that there's 2 culprit. They were looking at this as an isolated murder, which is typically 1 person unless there's a reason to believe otherwise. In a town that small, to assume there's multiple killers with no evidence will only cast too wide of a net and makes it harder to narrow down suspects. It's a pretty common practice. In this instance, the stats didn't apply but that's the typical direction. Plus, I wouldn't say in real life it's always about human trafficking. I don't think human trafficking is common in Korea and traffickers typically target children without lots of ties or if they were in a big city and hard to track down. Everyone knows everyone in this town and the kid is famously linked to her brother... I mean I don't blame them for not considering a two-man job without more evidence. It's not like it's an adult victim that might be hard to transport either. It's literally a little kid.

Dream of Splendour is nowhere near as good as this one, but... this one has only just started airing, so let's…
It's not just about being elegant. It's that the way LYF literally moves around the scene doesn't feel like an actress acting but like she just is the character. Everything is just super natural in the way she moves like she's been doing these same activities everyday her whole life. It shows lot of character work and research. I'm not at all saying Lu Si is not as good as an actress. LYF has decades of experience on Lu Si. Lu Si is already very good for her age. I'm a fan of hers. Objectively, there are small areas she can improve on that's all. If anything I actually always avoid LYF's work bc from my memory watching her first few shows when I was young, she was not a very good actress. That's also why I was very impressed by her in DOS. The character in DOS is also a great fit for LYF. Lu Si is a great fit for Niao Niao here. LYF would not have done it as well bc she doesn't have as good of comedic timing. However, Because I love Lusi and I can appreciate that she's choosing more and more mature character in her projects and clearly improving as an actress and with that, there will be growing pains. That is when her characters have to show maturity and depth in a certain way that requires them to really fill up the scene and give you chills. There is still a little bit of aura she's lacking ins some scene and that happen to be smt I think LYF did well in DOS. either way as I said, there's no fair comparison, as both actresses are very different in style and experience and their characters are vastly different. All I was trying to say is that even if DOS is not your cup to tea, you cannot deny the work that goes into it. Objectively, it deserves the love it receives. LLTG is a beautiful production and it can stand on its own. Both shows have their own strength and weaknesses,

Dream of Splendour is nowhere near as good as this one, but... this one has only just started airing, so let's…
idk about that. Just different target audience & production. Dream of splendor main focus is also not romance but about depicting the struggle of women in ancient times. It's also showcase lots of chinese culture. the direction, acting and writing of that show is very well done. It's just not a full love story like this one and it's much more introspective. It's not gear towards a young audience, so it would do well with late 20s to 30s audience. Overall it's worthy of its achievements. Lots of good and talented ppl work hard on it. It might just not be your cup of tea. I love LLTG as well but it's a very different tone and clearly target a younger audience with its story line and cast. The production quality and everything else are also good but there are definitely some sections where the acting can be a little better. I love this show but acting wise, there's literally no competition. The leads in Dream of splendor literally became their character. Especially the FL, theres a reason why she's a very highly respected actress in the industry. She was so good with every move she makes (even when she's taking tea, cleaning or wev) that I literally feel like I'm just watching her do her everyday chore. I can't say I feel the same with this show. Not to say the acting in LLTG is not good. It's just not the same and really can't be compared in my opinion. The story is also very different. There's a level of maturity with dream of splendor as it's about adult women who have been through a lot in life. This is about a young girl experience love and marriage for the first time (in that way that makes Lu Si acting fit better with this character). Idk I just don't think it's fair to say dream of splendor is some how worse than LLTG when it's not even in the same lane.

There are times when I understand why CSS’s mother is so annoyed and disappointed in her. CSS is very immature…
She does need to be a bit more mature in the way she handle things but I mean she's 15. She's already very intelligent and eloquent for someone her age. I want her to grow to be even better version of who she is without losing the lively & rebellious spirit that make her special... Her mom on the other hand... I know she means well but her approach to teaching her daughter is not only counterproductive but actually emotionally and physically injure her daughter more and more with every words coming out of her mouth. Especially there are some things she does that's so hypocritical... It's no wonder CSS can't bring herself to absorb the good lesson from her mother.... She's trying to beat her into conforming instead of helping her understand and try to understand her. If her mother has her way, CSS will no longer be CSS. The more she try to beat her character out of her, the more she will dig her heels in. Her mom also annoyed the hell out of me. She triggered every bone in me with the way she treats CSS.

oh of course. I just thought it was ridiculous to even say she's ugly lol like we all have eyes... are we supposed to think she's ugly looking like that? drama logic is just funny

Although LY is not Ml I don't like when whole cast ganged up on him .As MC said he is nice guy. What impressed…
Thank you!!! Everyone here seems to think she's blind for not seeing Bu Yi affection. However, the fact is he never made his intention known to her for long and never make a move to her directly. We see everything he's done but she only saw a quarter of it. Plus she spent a lot more time with LY. Yes, she doesn't know what love is and mainly marry LY bc he was the first nice person who asked and she wants to grab it before it's gone. She's used to that scarcity mentality bc of her childhood having been abandoned and abused from birth. However, once she said yes to a marriage with LY, it's a promise and a serious commitment and it's only right that she stay loyal to the man she committed to and fiercely defend the relationship she wanted. It doesn't make her "dumb" for not acknowledging Bu Yi but she is loyal and draw clear lines once she committed to her relationship. It's a positive character trait. Even Bu Yi can appreciate and respect her choice. She has her flaws but sticking to LY is not one of them.

seriously... i thought there's some unspoken misunderstanding or some tough situation that forced them to break up... turns out he was an entitled ass from start to finish. He followed her around acting like he's some devoted lover.... bro you deserve everything you got.

Are you talking about all the male interests? it's not harem. It's just a long series that start with FL choosing…
In that case, that would be most of romantic Cdrama. Love triangle is quite common trope in drama land. 3/5 drama usually have a 2nd ML and/or FL who have a crush on someone else first. This show is a mature take of it based on the time it is set in. In my opinion, the show makes the other romantic prospects choice a reasonable progression to the FL's growth to eventually lead to her the true match. Its basically a true slow burn romance. If you can't handle any angst of that kind, this is truly not for you then.

At this point, it's an open question for me whether CSS would even pay attention (let alone actually remember)…
it's her defense mechanism from years of being bullied and abused since she was born. Her way of survival is to always fight back first when being forced into anything. It's not easy to reverse decades long tendencies. A part of her also blame her mother for abandoning her and knowingly let her suffer despite knowing what she was going through all along. She has every right to be angry tbh, and her mom is not helping with her approach & the hypocritical way she enforces her rules. There's a huge disconnect between them. She doesn't see her mother as her ally. That's why I feel like she will never listen long enough to learn anything from her mom. Niao Niao is stubborn yes, but she's not unreasonable or stupid. With the right approach that doesn't come off as judgmental, I think she won't be dismissive. She needs to be able to see the etiquette and the boring stuff as a mean to an end and a tool to help her be even stronger and more effective with the wits she already has. Her mother approach is to shame and judge the character that makes her special out of her to conform her and for someone like Niao Niao, it will just make her dig in harder.

Are you talking about all the male interests? it's not harem. It's just a long series that start with FL choosing someone else before landing on the ML. Like story of minglan. The ML wasn't even a big part of her romantic prospects until he make a move. It's a slow burn not harem

You should watch her in untouchable Lovers. She is secondary lead to Guang Xiao Tong and Song Weilong but she…
I can see her play a villain very well. Villains are always more fun to play as their emotions and motives are clear and they're interesting to play for the actors too. I did start untouchable lovers but I dropped it before Lu Si appear I think. I can't remember. Looking back at the cast list of that show, many of the supporting actors are amazing and the few that are newer at the time have surpassed both leads in their acting in my opinion. Interesting. May be I'll give it another shot
On Love Like the Galaxy: Part 1 Jul 13, 2022
one thing I will say though I very much enjoy Lu Si acting in this show. I always love her but she does get type cast into the cute peppy silly girl role a lot. When she does go out of that box and take on a character with a bit more depth, her acting does feel a little awkward in some places. Here, i think Niao Niao is a character that has some silly traits of her usual roles but there's a complicated side to her. Lu Si is balancing that very well so far. The aura of a smart and resilient woman who suffered lots of pain growing up and is also fragile and crave stability and love. She brings the young girl vibe to the character without losing the depth which i like.. I hope as the series progress we can see more of her acting evolving with the character. I'm happy to see her challenging herself a little more with each role she takes. I'm a casual drama viewer but I have watcher her since her first silly low budget teen rom com til now. It's very nice to see her maturing as an actress.
