I wonder what would happen if someone has the balls to actually do blood-related incest BL dramaif there are ppl…
Even in the men "adult" industry it's quite a niche (although some Japanese twins have a great success haha), so I don't think we will see that for a "mainstream" drama before long. ^^ The problem with this is that some people keep ignoring the clear definition of what is an incest. People can dislike, hate or be inconfortable with it, but that's not incest. And even if they were blood-related brothers, that wouldn't be that grave after all, because incest is first and foremost a taboo regarding the altered descendance that an incestuous relationship between a man and a woman could bring.
Looking forward to another season. That's the thing I dislike with Netflix productions. Nowadays they make very small seasons, too frustrating for me. But this was actually very good. Flawless acting, superb production, simple plot, that's not very original neither, but the execution is interesting, with a good balance and some depth. I liked the touches of humour well dosed too.
This drama was more about Hirokuni overcoming his toxic work environment after meeting Kai who slowly remind him…
I don't agree with you because they already showed that a lot in the previous episodes. I think anybody understood at this point. The focus was too much in this episode, and didn't bring anything new on this problem. If it had brought something, yes, why not, but we didn't get really much more than we already saw before. It could have been shorten and not take so much place in that episode, so I understand the frustration of many viewers because even if I find it interesting, I also wondered, at some point, when they would move on because it was nothing new from the previous ones, where this aspect was already well shown, and it felt really dragged on in this episode. It doesn't mean that people just want to see the characters "to kiss and fuck", as you wrote, but that it felt like they wasted a lot of time on this.
the kiss was so bland 😭 they really have zero chemistry and no sign of improvement, but the food looks so good.
That's a surprising comment actually, because from a Japanese point of view, it's objectively a pretty fiery kiss. I don't think "bland" is very accurate. But I guess that's understandable from your point of view if you don't see and feel any chemistry between them.
The last episode was a bit dull with all the overwork thing that we already got a long time ago with the previous episodes. It didn't bring anything more to the story for most of it, but luckily they made the last few minutes of the episode worth it. Unfortunately because of this episode it will not be a perfect drama anymore for me, but it's still a very good one. I'm really impressed by how Japanese always succeed to cast young actors so talented, able to tell so simple story with so much depth in it the same time. Japanese BL superiority can't be beaten in that regards in my opinion.
It started very good but the last episodes made it very less enjoyable. Mizuki is a really annoying character and Sakae's passive behaviour is one of the things I dislike the most to watch. Too bad, it really started good.
A doctor I worked with was like so pretty and androgynous. He even had long hair. Such men do exist.
Never wrote that androgynous men don't exist... I wrote that she don't pass as a man but just a woman disguise with man clothes for me so it's look fake and ridiculous. Good for you if it's not the case and you enjoy the drama as it is.
Stop whining. There are androgynous men in South Korea. And he just found out in episode 8.
I'm not "whining", I can express my opinion like everyone else, the comment section is made for that, and to me she doesn't look androgynous, that's my point, she clearly looks like a woman disguised with man clothes, that's why I wrote it looks very fake and it seems ridiculous to me. You don't think the same and like it as it is ? Good for you, doesn't change my opinion and what I wrote.
This sageuk is totally ridiculous. How long will they make her pretend to be a man seriously ? All the other characters look like dumb people to me for believing that, thus the entire story is downgraded. They didn't even try to really make her pass as a man since the start, the travestissement is really not good, that seriously looks so fake. That's definitely not the standard I expect for a good sageuk.
Je Up and Su Hwan's "Sherlock" was phenomenal. Donghun and Neon's voices are also very appealing to me, although I didn't like their song choices for this battle. The others were good too, of course, they received a lot of praises from the judges and are liked by the general public as seen in the comments here, but their voices don't make me feel anything special.
It depends on what the group that comes out of it should be.Forstella is a very strong vocal group. And for me…
I don't think the comparison with Forestella is relevant because they are singers with a classical or musicals background. It's totally different from "variety" singers like K-Pop idols, so I don't believe that the goal of this show quartet is to compete with groups like the ones from "Phantom Singer". They are two very different categories of vocalists in my eyes. But I agree that it will be difficult to make a group that don't have the label K-Pop on it considering their origins.
If Donghun and Jeup are in the last four it's all good, otherwise, too bad. When it comes to vocalists like them, no one is really better than others, there are all really skilled, and it depends on people preferences. Which is highly subjective for this because the emotions felt because of one person singing voice can be very strong and very different from one person to another.
Hahaha, I'm actually baffled that in 2024 Korean screenwriters and directors still put the same old (and stupid) tropes and clichés, that we have seen countless times over the last twenty years, and that nobody wants (at least not me, for sure). Too bad, once again they ruined a very interesting and clever drama with only one episode. Whatever happens in the next episodes (the white truck accident is certainly no a good sign) and the end, it's done, the drama is kind of ruined.
That's weird that this sageuk is presented everywhere as a rom-com sageuk with such main poster. It doesn't give the feelings that it will be a rom-com at all, which is, for me, a very good news. ^^ If this can be a serious sageuk with few humorous scenes that will be more like it.
As I've not watched any historical dramas of JCW I probably gonna watch this...But please don't kill him.🙏🏻😕
The plot of the drama is centred around King Gogukcheon's death and the fight for his succession. And Chang Wook plays King Gogukcheon, so it's not hard to know that his character will die in the drama.
Yes it makes sense, so maybe it was something else. I don't remember clearly so I need to rewatch it to see if I still see a plot hole or not. As for Yong Bi's behaviour, I really can't relate and understand how someone can live with that personally, but I understand why people would do that. It seems some people don't have a conscience or morality and can still live on after making awfully immoral actions.
The problem with this is that some people keep ignoring the clear definition of what is an incest. People can dislike, hate or be inconfortable with it, but that's not incest. And even if they were blood-related brothers, that wouldn't be that grave after all, because incest is first and foremost a taboo regarding the altered descendance that an incestuous relationship between a man and a woman could bring.
