For a community that loves watching series and movies from korea, there are lots of people who give 0 fucks about…
Stop telling people what they should tell too. I don't think you or anybody can speak for all Koreans because as every people Koreans don't think all the same. It's not because you don't share the point of view of others that they "give 0 fucks about the actual history of the country. ". Like everything, History depends on the point of view and how the next generations decide to write and tell it. But that's actually not even the problem with Snowdrop as the "distorting history" claims are groundless.
"The petitioners claim" or "pretend" should be more right as the two first episodes just show that their "arguments" are groundless. JTBC's response is very clear. People think that the show was deemed okay to be aired without being checked before seriously ? Do they think that JTBC would have made such a drama, with big stars, countless people working on it just to stop it because some few people think and presum whatever they want about something most of them don't even try to watch or understand ? Anybody can be offended by any thing in this world. Internet is a great thing but eternal whiners really have too many voices these days.
This is so good!!! I didn't expect that low rating her in mdl tho😕
Those ratings are wrongfully manipulated to be low. It doesn't reflect the real sentiment of the watchers. And kisskh is not objectively representative of real dramas ratings too. ;)
I can't wait for the answer of the Blue House following the petition. It will not shutdown the people who think they are knights in shining armor but at least it will put an end to the official aspect of this so-called controversies and let us enjoy this very good drama (at least for now) until the end with minds at ease.
Just one fact (or two) to show how stupid such comments are : South Korea is a country of over 50 MILLIONS people and is currently ruled by a socialist party. So people need to start using "some" (even "some few" would be better) Koreans, instead of implying that a whole country is against a mere drama for political reasons. Really absurd.

It's actually very hypocritical of these (very small) Korean brands to make such announcements. It was obvious that once the drama started the backlash would only start again, without any real justification. When you read the "reasons" of the protesters after the first two episodes, you really see that they will use any element throughout the drama to support their protest. Considering the "controversy" months before the start of the drama, I believe JTBC is ready to face it. Everybody knew it will be like that once it started. I'm not surprised personally, didn't expected a quiet start. One thing keep surprising me though : people's stupidness.
" if it is some kind of propaganda and re-writing history!" Hahahaha ! Your comment is the first thing I saw here and it really made me laugh because it's actually so stupid. It's a drama, a series, fictional, with a political set yes (maybe controversial, but it's history, it's always controversial depending on points of view), but it will neither rewrite History or promote a new authoritarian regime in South Korea so comments like yours are just really ridiculous. But yes, keep commenting like if it's the matter of the century, it's true that it is very important to crush a drama and countless people's work. That will surely solve all problems in the world. For sure. People petitionning in Korea don't do anything to solve the real problems in their country, just like people commenting here don't do anything in theirs too. Making a fuss, like it's a real and threatening political issue when it's only a divertissement (very well made !). People are just so dumb. That is really outrageous and shameful.
Very good start for this drama. All the cast is on point, Im Soo Ho and Eun Young Ro already give butterfly with their interactions and the historical and political set, mixed with well pounded humour is quite nice too. Can't wait for the next episodes !
This relationship is as repulsive as it is utterly fascinating. You can only see this in Japan, and it's really well done. It's really amazing the diversity and complexity of relationships you can find in Japanese stories, either in mangas, films, novels, dramas, animations, etc. Masters of creepy romance. ^^
can someone pls explain the ending? like did they end up being or not being together?
It's an open ending. At the moment of the protest they are in opposite sides, so they can't "hear" each other, meaning understand here. But the last scene, and especially last words, can suggest that there is hope that they will understand each other one day, and so be together. It's likely a one shot short film so it's up to the watchers to believe what they want. As it's finish with smiles I personally want to see the bright sight of the story. ;)
I thought the end would be sad, but still good. It was finally much better. It's rare, but that the kind of drama/movie I feel thankful for after finishing to watch it. Great one.
Didn't expected the crosswalk scene but with all the build-up in the previous episodes it was priceless. However, no matter what, I feel like it will end in a sad way. But even though, I believe it will be a good one.
And this pearl keeps shining even more. Though it's a pity that we have to say good bye to this alluring charm of Ryu Joon Yeol mid-long hair style ^^, still, him and Jeon Do Yeon are so captivating. This is beautifully sad and silently profound. Every time an episode is finished, I feel like just few minutes have passed, even if so many scenes are made to last for a long time and really feel it. It's no wonder that's a jtbc drama. Koreans, like Japanese actually, are really good at this genre of dramas/movies, but they are recognized for it more internationally than domestically.
Little gem. Simply. The more I watch the more I'm drown in the story and the characters. The cast is brilliant. Jean Do Yeon and Ryu Joon Yeol are doing an amazing job here. It's not easy to do a good drama or movie where you don't bored the audience with so much silence, looks and just "low" and "slow" emotions. I really love it.
This one is quite unique. I really liked it. The overall rating and reviews don't do justice to it in my opinion. After watching countless long dramas, with all sort of scenarios, this is really refreshing. Short, simple but smart and really enjoyable.
Well, it was really good, but the last three episodes are just crap. It keeps getting worse. I don't know how it will end but I don't think it's a good drama anymore, I have no expectations for the last two episodes. Too bad because Jinyoung is really good, all the cast is actually.
