I weirdly ship him with Jin Guangyao.
If "him" is Lan XiChen, then it's not too weird :P

they should give us lan zhan and wei ying after story. or special episode
The actors are already booked for other projects. So if they did such thing, it'd be a whole while from now. Now I've heard rumors the auuthor is writing on another book. If we're very very lucky, they might have decided to pursue this rather than starting another story. But then again ........ honestly speaking: It's dangerous. Their story is so complete, that any addition is very risky and could shed a bad light on the main work. It's something that tends to happen with sequels and second seasons.

They've gone through hell. There's not all too much more going deeper there. Especially not with the BL restrictions in China.

I hoped it had Lan Xi Chen in this one..!
You've said it for me! I'm honestly only having this for him when it's out *lol* Because the Nie brothers were amongst my least favourite characters (due to their characteristics NOT the actors). And though The JGY actor did an awesome job, that character is way too sad to watch him more than necessary X'D
Lan XiChen on the other hand is so interesting, I'd gladly see more about his backgound and personal story.

If I was to suffer through more of this story, I'd rather suffer through seeing a sequel of those years when Lan XiChen was watching his beloved brother trying to live regardless being unable to pick up the pieces of his shattered heart.

I actually agree with them magically appearing before us. And that we should be "true to ourselves". But the later does not mean to "stay true to our idiot self" *lol* It means to actuallly dig for our qualities and the qualities hidden within our so called "downsides".

We should definitely go for somehting that feels perfect. But pperfect is relative. It means "A person that feels perfectly right" including that their "downsides" feel like something ew can very well live with.

The waiting aspect on the other hand, is indeed something I cannot recommend. "Live", don't "wait", there's absolutely no telling when a candidate will appear and how. So why stall live with anticipation. ;D

hello. I just watched this show and I absolutely adored it. Since this is my first bl drama show i dont really…
I'm currently staring "Until We Meet Again". I know for sure that it's several couples, gay and straight. It starts off an absolute tragedy and it's really heartbreaking. But I guess that's ah.... in a sense good news for them statring a better life. Because they re-incarnate and get another chance. Just brache yourself if you try.

I saw the actors of one couple having a great atmosphere like Tharn & Type. And if I understood right it's not even out of question that the actors came to like each other. I saw them hintng at it in an interview, if translators weren't trolling us. Just don't take this for a solid information, please.

Anyways, it looks pretty interestig.

Doea men like tharn exist
I'm sure they do. If women like that exist then men do to. However, we can say that this personality type is a rare gem. An at the same time, I'm sure a lot of people have the capability, but were hurt too much too early on to develop their potentials. Our best chances is to be that Tharn ourselves. That will give our partners room to grow alongsides us if they happen to still be on their way.

Why leave? He's there, working with the others. He's been at Chang Cheng's date to interrupt it XDD
Yes he took over a team and I guess since Chu Shu Zhi is one of those working on the streets, he's simply not in hte office.

Because although there are no more cases since connections to the other world have been broken off, they've probably moved on to taking care of normal securety issues. :)

By the way for everyone who saw the ending, don't you think the movie cover picture does become a whole lot more significant? I mean look at them towering above the rest in a state of transcending between worlds (and times).

Bromance my ass!Even if you're like me and haven't read the story (cause you don't know Chinese) you can clearly…
ROFLMAO right? I seriously have no idea where people are looking who say it's a bromance. I suppose they may to some extent be blind to romantic exchanges that are below the level of kissing and sex in terms of body contact. When it's exacctly these subtle romantic exchanges that are by far more precious on an everyday basis within a relationship.

I really loved this.

On one hand ther's bad CGI, some overacting, some ugly cruelty, some filming mistakes *lol* and the BL censorship, ofcourse. Leading to a non-cannon open-ish but still acceptably satisfying ending.

But on the other hand there's some badass chemistry betwen the leads. They are so comfortable handing each other it's a huge relief. It's maybe helpful in a sense that there's that censorship. It's like being forced to actually get to know each other, establish an emotionnal bond and an intense eye to eye communication, since there's no possibility to jump at each other ....straight (LOL pun not intended). I really really liked that. They are so clearly in love even if there's barely an "official" acknowledgement. Their acctions and what they DON'T do speaks volumes. It's seeing two people and knowing theiy are very close without knowing anything else about them.

I highly reccommend watching this drama. Particularly if you can sacrifice some bits of plot logic for the sake of watching quiet yet intense emotions unnfolding between two (and more) chracters.

If you watched The Untamed, you're perfectly right here. It's much more soothing, really. The couple is left to be most of the time, facing outside problems rather than internal ones of everyone trying to tear them apart and into bits and pieces! :'\
Strangely enough, in my head I fet like I'm watching a rebirth of Lan Zhan and Wei Ying, though *lol*. The quality of chemistry is simply right!

If you are noot into BL, you'll be fine watching it, I guess. It's beautifully subtle so you could choose to be ignorat if you really wabnted to miss out on the great stuff! :P

I like the drama ..but the ending is so tragic
Tragic is very relative. They are bound to meet again. It's a little tragic from the perspective of their coworkers, though. It's due to censorship for sure. I was told the novel ending is them returning, marrying and picking up their respective jobs

has anyone read the novel yet? is there any kiss scene in the novel?
I also reda from a fan that in the novel ending they do not pass on. They are turned immortal, marry and return to their lives as professor and cop. :'3 With some extra chapter on how that everyday life goes on.

Are the voices on Guardian the real actors' voices, or is it dubbed like many Chinese dramas?
It clearly sounds like some passages have been added inbetween with othre voices. Like some sentence wasn't right so they either had the actor or a voice actor redo it. Which made me wonder about that. I also guess they didn't dub. They didn't have wesome CGI either,. I suppose their budget wasn't the highest so maybe we were lucky and they didn't have money for dubs :P
I dislike dubs even if sometimes the voice actors will sound better. It's still unnatural.

Question: What happens to Chu Shu Zhi at the end of the series? Did he leave or something? I don't understand...
Why leave? He's there, working with the others. He's been at Chang Cheng's date to interrupt it XDD
It was cute! They were a tad awkward when it came to acting, but I also liked the natural vibe to all of it. As in, it's no high spec production with everything being polished to the last corner. They have attractive actors who're yet not superficially perfect.

The story telling was a little problematic. If a new viewer was to be thrown into their living situation that way, it'd be cut a bit too short. It works of you know their story and how the struggle was to get along in first place.

For this production I would really have loved if they had skipped the over the top confesssions at the end *lol* That confetti was that one step too much. They did good on quiet background scenes though.

Overall, I can recommend to watch it!

I honestly found it a little sad . Why do the women always have to suffer so much for love.
For the simple reason that we use to be stronger on the feminine qualities and weaknesses rather than the masculine ones. Which means to have more nuturing characteristics towards others, going as far as putting ourselves last in line. Due to the way reproduction works, we're more prone to look for secure relationships (even if we don't plan any kids at all). We're concentrated around "protection towards inside" principles. While people with stronger masculine attributes are more running by the principles of "protection towards outsides". And that naturally creates issues.

Especially in modern world we really love to think we're too civil to bother with "lowly instincts". But our natures tend to shape certain forms of societies. The interesting part is, that throughout all forms of societies worldwide, there are basic principles that tend to be constant. And they are often connected to our biological circumstances. Just that simple fact that for women intercourse = risk of pregnancy = either abortion with high risk of psychological damage or 9 months of body sharing with risks for physical and psychological damage. While for men, intercourse = probably fun, risks are not too fatal even in countries where you're somewhat bound to take some form of responsibility. Either way it's "external" issues rather than "internal" ones, which can not be fled from.

And since we're forced to be picky, we're prone to intense bonding. Meanwhile men are prone to struggle with connections and emotions. Biologically speaking they're supposed to assure diversity, I guess? :)

I'm not condemning that, btw. A lot of issues arise from plain differences, rather than from anyone being "at fault". Blame is very very relative, really. We're all struggling with circumstances, particularly when we struggle to align with the flows.

Sorry, this ended up long.
