I like him a lot, too, but it's really no surprise! It's a very typical psychological pattern that a very very strong and unreasonable rejection of something e.g. demons, points at the person denying before themselves what they don't want to see about themselves. We saw that demons can have human quality in this drama. It'll depend on the demon. I'm relatively sure it's all about Wang Lu going after him and snapping him back to his senses. :3 Their bromance was going on too strong for another outcome. And it still is a commedy. Ofcourse it's also a CN drama (which are prone to cruelty and character deaths, duh). But the plot was quite clever so far. I almost can't imagine them making such a bad plot choice as to losing that boy to his inner demons.

It's a matter of humor and taste then. I had a blast (until the last 3rd got a tad too serious). They're making fun of so many typical drama settings and quote other series like Naruto, too. X'D It's only bad if you try to watch it seriously or if it doesn't meet your taste. The later ofcourse is very individual and can't/shouldn't be helped. :D

XD Oh, I didn't expect THAT many. So the whole Hai Yun Fan story that was implied at the very end of the drama is either NOT the big finale and major keypoint? Or are they just taking very long with that part of the story?

There is another minor indicated pair with crush but it got lost along the way so who knows if they'll be talked about again. They didn't reach confession stage yet.

Wang Lu and Hai Yun Fan are having a really open and bold all out bromance X'D but it left off with them parted and running straight into their "final" conflict, I guess. They were the most fun couple regardless of not being a couple.

I was referring to him as we saw him in TMOPB. :) So this is not to be considered a direct continuation then? Is it more like an alternative storyline? Or is it not clear yet, because this drama is still being released (with subs)

There is no ending yet, simply said. There was a semi happy ending but we left on a scene clearly indicating trouble. So the final conclusion is yet to come. And though you can say hte couples are kind of set, it would not be beyond the series to turn them upside down again for the sake of making another joke on classical plots!

Asides of "please mark as spoiler", it was getting obvious halfways through, though. There have been many indications of things going that way. And as they stated, he's the new prince of .... I forgot the title. You know, demon overlord! The successor or rebirth of that beast like demon the senior sealed! Actually, the senior has been reborn as Wang Lu. Ofcourse his best friend would end up as the return of the demon prince after both vanished in another dimension. X'D Its a classical plot! They mak it a thing to make fun of classical plots!

The first 2/3 are hilarious in my opinion. You can barely take it sreiouss and that's the point. Then in the last 1/3 they go serious and the typical tragedies hit. And they actually hit double, which could be called really ironic if not sarcastic. You could see it as another type of humor, but I personally felt like headdesking. There still was plenty of humor and adorable bromance and romance and friendship and friendly rrivalry in-between to make it watchable.

You should definitely know that the ending screams either "2nd season!" or "special movie" or the likes. The later would probably be the better option. The problem is, that the plot kind of depends on it. And it's not out yet. They could make this grand by puling creative and funy stunts to make up for the strain towards the end. Or they could kill all the fun with bad choices. If you want to be safe, wait till the story was actually finished. If you're up for some fun and can love with some double-striking tragedy sequences, then go for it.

Looking at their stunts so far, I see potential for them to manage and pull that cart out of the "Chinese how-dare-you-feel-affection-you-shall-pay-for-it-dearly-at-some-point mud pond". Good luck to us!

I'm sure I'll watch this and the Eternal Love 3 series "for the books" and because aspects of the series were really outstanding. But I'm also already preparing to stay some degree of disconnected, because I'm very sure w're in for another run of super unreasonable and cruel toxic behaviour. ////orz//// I cant see them dropping that habit. It'd be a miracle if they did!

Just to be sure, though: the main series is still called Eternal Love (3). This is the side character series though, hence another name.

He keeps sending her away *lol* That's typical cold man pattern. They always get super soft underneath their shell at some point. It's part of the cold man/warm woman characteristics.

Probably like most other famout young people. They go to school and are a more or less normal occurance there. With the difference that they probably have more attentionattached to them and not always of the positive kind. It's the same for places where fmous people live. When a person appears on an everyday basis, people tend to get used to tune down attention. Its not like theyre going anywhere. And I guess that often unsaid rules are applied amongst peers. Such as "Don't talk to them if you have nothing in particular to say, it's bothersome!" Mostly the lives of outsiders are potentially lonely. Regardless of them belonging to the "famous" or "avoided" X'D.

But everyone goes through some set of challenges. Even as a "normal" person. It's just different sets of troubles and people have different capabilities in dealing with certain sets of problems.

Yes, though if anything, I'm doing what's within my possibilities to be and to live happily. It may be the better choice to not avoide at times, but asides of that, struggle is also a choice at times, and not always necessary :'3 Hope you're enjoying life, too!

Is it as toxic as TTPB? (=_=) With characters going through great lengths to make others miserable for reasons so shallow you can only headdesk over?

Until we meet again is not completely out yet but so far he's doing good as a wild one. Now usually the wild types are not mine. But what caught be off guard was his way of getting in touch with other and those eyes. Even on this picture, he has very expressive eyes. Quite stunning. Hopefully he'll get to act more! Main role material!

Thanks for the heads up. BL tends to go in one sentence with rape, abusive/toxic behaviour and/or tragedy that I'm cautious and look at that, another plot that had to mention it.

I'm REALLY hungry for BL plot WITH depth MINUS the aspects above, PLUS good acting and production. Seems like too much to ask, because often it's only 1 of 3. The 2 of 3 productions are suuuuuuper rare. Is there really no 3 of 3 out there by 2020? If you see one, can you direct me there, please? (T~T)

Yeees! It's mainly because of him that I'm so very frustrated about TharnType plot going awry halway through when the actors worked so hard on the chemistry and could get in touch without looking funny. On the contrary, looking really intimate with eahch other. I see hhes's been buy with roles. I pray some good team (from author over camera to fellow actors and whoever else is involved) gets their hands on him. Ot the same team gets trheir hands on a better plot! Darn!

I shall call him "Mr. Sensual" from here on! The Intimacy is all his! One of those rare actors who can BL and actually pull it off! He can maintain the tension without cracking up too much. He can act anything between crippling emotional hurt to anger to hot romance.
