I wonfder if to even start this. Because While Eternal Love was pretty and I loved the characters the plot gave me rage. Those gods and their cruelties are so obnoxious it hurt to watch.

Meanwhile Eternal Love of Dream was lovel even though they, too, went through their set of drama that made me want to put them through a scolding like little children who fail at basic communication.

And here I watch the trailer and I'm already seeing those ridiculous patterns again of obnoxious "judgements" and needing to learn everything the hard way. I really really love the visuals of that world. The camera and all and the actors and costumes. So I wonder if it'll be more like the Eternal Love, and laced with many displeasing frustrations, or of they'll overall strive to maintain a caring fun atmosphere like in Eternal Love of Dream where there was still suffering going on but the care of the couple for each other was constantly there.

Thanks heavens people have different tastes. Untamed was great and did great on the romance considering the setting of a gay production made in China. And the acting was fine. They acted as the story asked them to act. :'D That story required a sense for subtle undercurrents. And they extressed a whole lot without saying a single word. That's what I call great acting. But ofcourse personal taste is personal taste ;)

Seriously just what's WRONG with people having a concept of beauty so flat any kitchen plate would do better in evaluating it? (=_=) It's so superficial I'm embarassed from readig alone.

What? Worse than HOB? What can be worse than watching your beloved getting stabbed alive like a needle pillow. And the terrible creations of their weapons, the whole episide about black water. (°_°) Worse? Guess I'll have to think it over. X'D

Ah....so my concerns weren't baseless. I thought i had seen sad fanart. Then again I went through the immense tragedy of Heaven Official's Bessing novel and I don't regret any of it. So this is better left for a day when i'm ready. Thank you for the warning.

If maybe someone can kindly poke me when they see the second movie is out or this story is complete? I'm not starting another thing that'll have me wait for years. I already fallen to that trap and then things got postphoned or complicated and with no end in sight. XD I've had enough of that.

As I said, political reasons in China. I don't know the exact reasons but from what I've heard there was some kind of .... celebratory?? period of two years?? In which only particular productions with particular topics were released? So the releases of countless other productions got pushed back. All of them need to make it through their checks and censorships and such. And hence there appears to be a lot of control by the government on many layers. But again, that's what people told me when I asked about other dramas.

On top of that there was also a period when the author & movie was dealing with plagiarism issues? The novel went on hiatus, then was picked up again under a new name and somewhat rewritten. I'm yet to read the little translation there is. I only know there are 3 novels by now but translation only covers the first two and I'm not sure if they're complete.

Basically: It's complicated and darn, why does the story have to suffer from it?!! (T-T)

I really need part 3 to come or at the very least the novel finished and translated!! (T~T) The story really got me. I have another story (a fanfiction) that has been halted and knowing myself, when its this particular feeling, I'll not let it rest before it comes to conclusion. Even if there's no news for years.

I hear here's been trouubles for the author of thestory and such. So I sure hope we get there someday and I hope it'll be worth the wait. I mean with that lovable puppy Qi Ling it'll be really enough if I'm shown how him and Gilgamesh reclaim Yin Chen and happily return to their home for a quiet life (after some obligatory world saving stress X'D if we must!)

I would wonder though if they'll be needing a 4th movie because we've all seen the war hints. X'D Aaaaaaaahhhh it's so awful when good stories are left unfinished and on cliffhanger on top!

Not yet. The current status is really unknown. Considering the release of this movie was delayed for political reasons, I wouldn't be surprised if part 3 is actually already completely finished but waiting to get through controls and to receive a release spot. Anyways right now there's no news (in English)

Unfortunately so far there's no proper translation to be found. One person on AO3 has started scanning these in and get them auto-translated with them looking over it to apply small corrections. But that'll üprobably take another whoooooole while.

If you ever find a full translation, I'll gladly read about it!

It was probably because the rest of the story hadn't been written. Since the novel was work in progress and on hiatus but I understand it's been picked up again? So hopefully.....

It's breaktaking. I was in shock reading the soundtrack was never released. Maybe when the story comes to an end? I saw a lot of good anime and some good dramas, but this was really stunning. I'm not a fan of martiaal arts as such nor of violence. And yet it was this fascinating.

It sure feels like it was a bit condensed and fast paced. But considering there's a novel they probably try to cobver a ton of plot. And with this high quality I don't dare to think what the costs might be.

I adore the emotions, the humor and innocence of Qu Ling. He's like a puppy. Wolve puppy.

Darn! I want to see him in a lead role in a well written romance. If possible Wuxia. Because hell, he was so cool and dashing in "Dance of the Sky Empire". I really loved what happened in his face. He pulled of the cool and relaxed, reliable and confident bodyguard off perfectly. How about being the bodyguard or martial arts mentor for his own lady (or gentleman) of the heart?!! Did you see the fan service BL scene? It was so epic. He kept a straight face and wasn't awkward at all (well until the very very last moment when the script unfortunately had to "play things down", because China etc.)

Right? RIGHT?!!!

I've not seen this one yet, but yes, these two are a ship. After all Lan XiChen went to seclusion following his death. And doesn't that remind us of other members of his family upon problems with their love interests X'D. Though I sure wished he'd been granted some luck in love, considreing his position and his kind character

What to do! The acting was mostly good, the characters very adorable (unless evil) and detailed. The story was classical but had some depth. The sets and the likes were really pretty (overlooking the cheap looking parts, they tried! Surely low budget).

But the cut was suuuuuuuuuuch a mess! I'm glad I was able to look past it. I somehow really liked what these actors did and couldn't let their efforts be wasted just ue to the problems. And I'm really oddly.....satisfied doing so. Although th very end is really the messiest mess (production wise). X'D

You know what it's like when kids draw or create something and it's messy and everything? But you look at them and they have such love and enthusiasm, that you can't NOT love htat mess they give you for a present? And you carefully store it away and the "shape" doesn't matter. The thought and feeling put into it is what counts most!

That's really how I feel about this drama!
