I don't understand why they cancel the release of films that have already been shot and edited. The actors have…
They make it draconic so that ppl breaking laws think trice what resentment they're pulling upon themselves. I am not saying this is appropriate, but merely stating how they might be seeing it.
If I remember correctly she was 18 it was mentioned at the beginning of the movie... Nd in my country 18 years…
You are literally incorrect as we are talking about two adults. There is a difference between discussing the difficult topic of child abuse, but being abuse and non-discerning while doing so is by no means acceptable.
Just because there are risk factors with power dynamics doesn't mean they are impossible to handle well or should be handled like sth. that doesn't happen. Taboos at all times make things worse for actual victims of actual abuse.
If you cannot regulate yourself, step away from comment sections and work on your emotional regulation first.
Criticizing abuse while being abusive damages the cause you frame as important. All while yourself clearly giving no consideration for how actual humans work or what people who experience valid difficult relationship dynamics AND ppl who experience abuse, require. And we do not require you to be abusive and let EVERYONE know that they are not safe to speak about their concerns or safe to seek help.
One thing that I can say at least about why I rated this one lower than others would be, that it was great but…
Ofcourse. That's the whole point. We value different things and speaking about them gives other viewers the chance to see if pros and cons fall into categories that bother them or not.

I can handle an open ending and an ending with death wouldn't lower the score. I personally do not appreciate certain topes, no matter the production, and one of those is when protagonists always get to avoid the consequences of their actions.
It's simply not coherent. The consequences are framed as being very very dramatic but the main characters get plot armor and just stomp through the whole ordeal with maybe a few "sick days" 😅
If it was purely a comedy, then fine, but they took a serious turn and didn't do it in a refined manner. So I personally scored lower. Even within the tropes where they do work with "plot armor" for protagonists, there's better ways to do this than we saw in this story and the filmmaking choices.
It could be helpful if you edit your comment and specify what part of "like this" you look for. Because in the…
There we go! 😁 Itook a peek at the master disciple tag above and it basically goes exactly there. So do check that one out and which of them you've not yet seen!
Given your comments about the second half of the drama, I would like to offer you a different perspective. Try…
Thank you. I did fly over the notesand while they are making many good points, they're not really connected to what my criticism is about.
I criticised that death is devalued and a lot of dramais revolving around death that is meaningless, as it isn't happening at all. It's a formof story telling that I donot deem functional.
Because either death has no value and then there's no way to boast it, but - like other dramas - make it a "I'm sure they'll return". Or it IS happening and then there's no going back on it all the damn time.
Consequences that are treated like they exist, when they absolutely don't and everyone just waits for "So by which method will they avoid all consequences this time again?", are void and boring. It's plain old plot armor.
In my personal view, the story would have bothbeen better with them stopping at embracing the consequences after she got him back, or by at least embracing it after his last round.
He returns. Now what? Now what? He's immortal and she's not. Now what? More drama and mess and rounds of dying till they're done and each time with the same amount of drama? 😅
I just looked at my "plan to watch" list and sorted it by scores and this came out at the top with a score of 10, but it's not even out yet or score-able and here I thought that maybe it was released at last? X'D
What is up with this rating? I just finished it and it was great!!!
One thing that I can say at least about why I rated this one lower than others would be, that it was great but the most important part that leaves the greatest impression of a show is usually the end and that one suffered some very poor design, I found personally.
It featured a very poor type of villain writing (a boring blatant maniac pulling the usual tricks). I actually skipped over the "boss fight" in 10 sec. steps, as the very predictable back n forth and back n forth of possession and very long scenes of wallowing of the non-possesed person were even too mutch for me (I'm usually patient enough with such stuff).
Then the plot has a very big problem with devaluing emotional impact by treating deaths overly lightly. Dies, gets revived, price for revival is basically nullified and that at no real cost and that not once or twice but multiple times for really many characters and things just get very repetitive, predictable and boring. And we saw it for main casts and villains and even the rules didn't equally apply (aka penalty for villain re-spawning = 0 ? but for hero characters it's a host of drama)
It was a great show up to the point where he went out to search for her after she suffered backlash from his revival. And then it went really downhill and even the final end was lukewarm. Is he a spirit saying "Hi"? Is he "back" AGAIN? And it cuts off unceremoniously :'D
Could you recommend me something like this, please?
It could be helpful if you edit your comment and specify what part of "like this" you look for. Because in the range of "a tragic romance", sth. with fantasy martial arts" and "sth. with pretty fantasy scenery as this" there's a loooot of choices X'D
You may find it easier to actually use the tags that you see above! They are there to help you find things that are similar. Also the "Recommendations" section above is also literally there for that purpose :3 And you can open e.g. the explore > moves/tv shows "newest" and then filter all results by applying the tag filter in the search function and sort the results by popularity etc.
People can not (yet) read your mind. If you seek help, it is best to provide them with the means help you by speaking on your preferences and perspectives, if you struggle to use the already existing tools for recommendations. ;D
The misogynistic comments you mention are being seen on all entertainment platforms on the internet, and not just…
Yes, it's incredibly unfortunate that people struggle this much with basic human decency. The rule is so simple even if ppl really fail at compassion and decency, they can still go by the rule of:
"If it was a person above your rank, with power over your means of survival or those of your family, would you still say it to their face? If the answer is "No", then it's not OK to say. It's not that difficult.
I do not even think it is a matter of some "boycott" or "agenda". People are in a bad state as the overall situation worldwide is particularly challenging now for a very great lot of people.
They come to watch drama and they come to vent their emotions, but unfortunately there's a difference between "emotion vomiting" and "catharsis" not to mention they are misplacing their emotions with real life consequences to real people who's livelihood depends on their work and that is just irresponsible as heck.
We'll all be better if we all can be more respectful ESPECIALLY when we think it's "out of sight" of the person. And it would be nice to see more constructive and meaningful comments everywhere. The ones making the internet a great place or garbage dump is every single one of us, after all.
So, lovely to see a fellow person who cares for fellow humans :)
Wow, this is really sad. This show started in a great manner and hat a lot of good themes and actresses and actors and lots of aspects of feminism even. It started great and went great and was really fun to watch. And then from the point after they re-united when she got him back, things just went absolutely downhill into the usual hot mess of pointless plot with the worst type of villain writing. What a shame, when there were so many great ppl doing a great job in this show.
I'm really disappointed about the whole part how the ending went. It would have been perfection if they had gotten to just live that cosy small life after the mentioned point of reunion. But no, it had to be maniacs, wars, endless boring back-n-forth drama and character kills without any sense.
I feel super sorry for the effort of the acting staffs getting wasted like this.
Edit: Also I read a bunch of misogyny going on in the comments in regards to the female character and actress and ya all need to take a good look at yourselves and why you're internally so frail when it comes to dealing with your own emotions and projections onto women. It's 2024. You're late growing up. Figure out how to extent basic human respect to all people regardless of your petty personal opinions.
I really like the anime and was very happy to find there's a live action drama even with a second season upcoming. And I liked that drama more than expected. It's quite well made. Ofcourse the end was a bit of a struggle, because in the beginning they had a lot of fun together but ofcourse royal power struggles at the end are not such a fun surrounding for the characters and it was fairly serious.
So now that they get to travel together more, I'm hoping that they get to have more fun again and more times for light hearted encounters, too.

You're behaving abysmally. Stop it.

I like the work. I do not love it.
