No. That’s why there are dramas that are ready to air but can then suddenly get pushed back/pulled up to the day it’s supposed to air. Story of Kunning in Palace is an example. It got its distribution license early last year but was not cleared to air until late in the year.

Looking at recent ones, they take at least a year usually. it probably depends on how big the issue and amount is and what they need to work out as a settlement. Personally, I’m just assuming her pending dramas won’t be released to keep myself from disappointment.

A show can still receive a distribution license if one of the actors is being investigated (which is the case with Song Zuer). It’s not a guarantee that it will air. The real tell will be the actual results of the investigation.

I’ve been wondering how old they’re supposed to be because I can understand the FL’s actions more if she’s supposed to be 16 or so. I agree that they have good chemistry so I’m hoping they both mature more.

I agree. I don’t see the chemistry between YSS and Chu Yue. I also don’t believe they developed feelings that quickly from what was shown.

I’m not finding it boring, but I’d also say it’s not very original. It’s a pretty standard xianxia. I think if I’d just finished another xianxia I might find it boring.

Yep, and it’s usually for “the good of the world” (excluding the ml’s 9 deaths in love and redemption). I was actually pleasantly surprised that they were up front with how it’s heading in that direction.

It’s not available on IQIYI in every region (another company has exclusivity rights in some regions) so at least some of the complaints may be because of the quality of other platforms (I know at least one comment I saw that was where the poor quality came from).

Right? Acting like she can read his mind. She acted based on what she knew. He didn’t communicate any of the plan to her. He knows her personality. He shouldn’t have been surprised, and neither should the viewers, that she got involved.

Thats not what they were put in jail for. They were put in jail for not complying with the royal edict when it was presented at the coming of age ceremony. Additionally, Xie Wei already expected that they would likely be taken to prison before the ceremony even occurred, which is why he had the seal ahead of time.

I just restrain myself to watching previews for the next two episodes only.

It really was a great scene. Both actors did a great job delivering.
