Yeah, I get the freak out today. With the delay announcement, the lack of communication, and what’s been going on with the actors, it’s understandable. Hopefully we’ll get some more answers. it could be to re-edit scenes. They could release different versions on different platforms. it could just be a delay to handle stuff going on with the actors. There are a host of potential reasons. For me, even if they do tone down scenes, the chemistry is still fire among all four main actors.

Yep, I’m kind of hoping Kim and Kenta go to Korea so their characters stay safe from the writers of a potential season 3. 🤣

This is spot on for me. Chi Cheng seems very aware of Wu Suiwei’s identity crisis. it’s honestly very smart that he’s got Xiao Shuai helping with the identity crisis. Both Chi Cheng and Guo Chengyu know Chi Cheng’s not going back to his old ways, but the other two don’t realize it.

I haven’t read the novel, but I’ve seen others that have say that Chi Cheng doesn’t have feeling left for his ex, but Wu Sui Wei will think he does.

The actual character that was mature and understood the value of communication, and the writers blew up his character.

This is the way I feel too. i think both of them have growth to do, but I’m also aware that my personal bias towards bigger picture and having a type A personality myself sways me into understanding Bai Jiusi more.

Yeah, I was confused about that too. I was hoping it was just a translation issue because it doesn’t make any sense that all that happened at the same time 8 years ago, especially when the flashbacks even show ZYZ with the silver hair.

It’s drawing the parallels between her parents and what a relationship would be between XY and XL (essentially doomed just like theirs was because they are also on two different sides that are enemies of each other with them both feeling obligations to their respective sides).

I don’t really consider her actions to be noble idiocy, and it looked like the ML figured out what she meant when talking to the emperor not long after the breakup. The emperor was using them both. It was a practical decision. Not every person is going to get overly emotional over a breakup, and I think the fact that she’s not is very in line with her character up to this point. I find her character very compelling without them being overly dramatic about the breakup. I would be very confused if they took her character in that direction.

Yeah, I’m impressed with her acting. She really becomes the characters she portrays.

I feel similarly. I don’t love the FL, but the ML and SFL come across better as buddies than romantic interests, and I enjoy their bickering friendship.
