The emperor’s current empress doesn’t have any children.

He’s the first born son of the dowager empress.

She doesn’t suspect cheating. I think she thought she didn’t have to worry about the emperor fathering children at this point due to his health.

She just knows she wouldn’t be able to control the throne if the baby is born and ultimately takes the throne at a young age (the concubine’s family would have the power instead). She wants her second son to take the throne instead after the emperor dies.

He’s just an opportunist. He’ll help the person that gives him the best advantage and ensures his safety.

I love her. she’s been great in everything I’ve seen her in.

Oooh this is getting spicy. I’ve never been excited for a love triangle before, but I am here.

I’m really enjoying the chemistry between the two leads so far. They work well together. The story has also grabbed me quickly. So far it’s exceeding my expectations.

I’m going to look back at this episode to see this. I didn’t catch that, but that’s hilarious. Definitely would say that qualifies as bad editing.

Viki changed from showing 19 of 26 episodes to 20 of 27 episodes today so it looks like they did get the rights to air the special episode as well.

I’m also thrown off by the music they chose. so far I’m not really seeing how the music they chose goes with the drama.

I was expecting a lot more deaths based on the comments here. Although there were key person deaths in episode 35, I don’t consider it a bloodbath. There was well done foreshadowing and hints that the main characters that died would die.

Although I wouldn’t rank this drama very high up, the second half made more sense and was more enjoyable.

The amount of dumb decisions characters make in this is truly astounding. The underlying storyline I’m loving. The execution of it through the scriptwriting, directing, and editing is questionable.

lol. I noticed this one too. I’ve seen a few sub flubs, but this one has stood out the most to me. 🤣

Yeah, I wouldn’t say it is low CGI compared to most. There’s nothing I’m laughing at (which I did with Snow Eagle Lord- oh that lion mask) or that is obviously low budget in the CGI. MJTY is a completely different style.

I think they’re both not telling the truth to some extent about what happened. They could have even planned it together.

I didn’t take it to mean every 20 years but rather one would happen in 20 years from the date they were given the message from Anonymous.

And the indication seems to be that GYZ is not of age yet (why he is not eligible to be sword wielder).
