lol, one of the second couple is from Hong Kong. I just prefer to hear the original language than a dub in another language. But i am glad people are still enjoying the series.

When I heard it would be in Cantonese, i assumed the actors would actually speak in Cantonese and not in Mandarin. not their Mandarin voice would just be dubbed over in Cantonese
Yup. I was so excited when this show first dropped because of the twist in dynamics and it’s an omegaverse but…
LOL, if you’ve really been around since the Fanfiction.net / LiveJournal era, then you should know the genre didn’t suddenly move past darker tropes. Those elements were part of what shaped the genre in the first place. Omegaverse has always had a wide spectrum — from soft, trust-focused dynamics to extremely toxic power imbalances. Both have existed side by side from the start.
So acting like darker stories are some outdated relic the genre has evolved beyond is a bit revisionist. They’re still a huge part of the genre because many writers intentionally explore power, instinct, control, and messy relationships. That’s literally one of the core narrative tensions of omegaverse.
You’re free to prefer the softer interpretation — that’s completely valid. But other fans enjoying the darker side doesn’t make them disturbing. It just means they’re engaging with a different branch of the same genre.

Most omegaverse stories are pretty toxic. And i am a fan of the genre... i have never been ashamed of it.
