When Yi Chen walked out of the office Lu Feng face became scary for a second. The things he is going to do to Yi Chen, Lu Feng will make him regret why he left him all those years🥲 OMG I CAN'T WAIT FOR EPISODE 9 AND 10 PREVIEW!
I will definitely reread the novel now and compare it to this adaptation. I am enjoying the heck out of both.…
OMG IKR! People need to know that early danmei and BLs were incredibly dark, with toxic relationships, obsessive characters, non-consensual themes, and plenty of emotional and psychological turmoil that would shock many modern readers.
I’m 33, and i’ve noticed that a lot of the younger audience don’t really enjoy dark-themed BLs and that’s completely their business if certain themes are hard for them to stomach.
But they also need to understand that some of us actually appreciate complex, messed-up, even toxic storylines. People can have their opinions, but i won’t be ashamed of liking darker, more intense narratives.

Okay i asked you because i don't remember reading about Xiao Chen SAing anyone but i won't be surprised because Lu Feng is the worst of the worst.
In the office scene novel Lu Feng graped XC 3 times i think. Also after the bar invitation his jealousy towards Qin Lang made him grape XC again and he had hemorrhoids because of that XC had surgery.
Lu Feng is a monster in the novel. No words can describe the kind of monster he is tbh.
Dark fiction has always existed in bls be it novels, manga or manhwa.
Saying that about the author is funny. Lan Lin is one of the first-generation danmei writers and majority of her works were released in the early 2000s. She wasn't some teenager experimenting with edgy ideas when she wrote it. Fiction is a broad medium, and different authors write different kinds of stories even if it is dark.
If people are struggling with A Round Trip to Love, what are they going to do when they come across manga and manhwa like Hogu Hagyeongsu, Killing Stalking, Painter of the Night, or Blind Play? Those stories are dark and disturbing.

A Round Trip to Love is still one of my all-time favorite Chinese BL films, right alongside Addicted.
I can't even count the number of terrible things Lu Feng did to Xiao Chen in the novel. He was genuinely a horrible person. I first read it back in 2017, and now I'm rereading it again.
Both the film adaptation and the novel are incredibly good, even though they're undeniably toxic. In the novel, Lu Feng is a selfish asshole who always wants the final say. He rarely listens to Xiao Chen, dismisses his opinions, and constantly tries to control everything around him... Even majority of the sex between them wasn't enjoyed by Xiao Chen. Lu Feng was a sex maniac too.
As frustrating as he is, that toxicity is a huge part of what makes the story so compelling.
Lu Feng also had sex with Xiao Chen in front of his son or was it he played the video of them having sex for Xiao Chen's son.... i can't remember
I am sorry but in episode 7 and 8 i can't hate Lu Feng. Nah I love Xiao Chen but boy if i was his best friend i would slap sense into his thick head. Lu Feng loves aggressively he also promised Lu Feng they would be together.
Lu Feng still came back and searched for him and that boy threw his sim card away (I am so pissed thinking about it again). Now he sees him on tv and wants to crawl back... "boy get the f out" was he expecting Lu Feng to still be sad and unsuccessful mtchewwwwww
i was thinking of something. i get it that yichen was torn between his mum and lu feng. cause before the first…
I understand that Xiao Chen was angry but he should have taken sometime to think. Even after he got married, his mum died he should have searched for Lu Feng who would have understand why he had to do that. Mind you LU Feng still came back and searched for him.
The things he is going to do to Yi Chen, Lu Feng will make him regret why he left him all those years🥲

and next year too

and the year after that"

Waiting another week is pure torture.
