At one point, she explicitly warned readers to stop reading if they couldn’t handle the fact that Fan Xiao and You Shu Lang would end up together.
Let’s be very clear: no one in real life would go back to Fan Xiao. Ever. That’s the whole point. This is FICTION. Learn to separate fiction from real life. There is more than enough soft, fluffy BL out there for you to consume. Go watch that and leave dark romance BL for people who actually enjoy complex, uncomfortable stories. It seems they probably didn’t have the budget to show more scenes, but honestly, the ending was so much better for it tight, satisfying, and emotionally powerful. Every moment counted, and it left me completely hooked❤️
